Voyage With The Pirate King - Chapter 401
Seeing a glint of mischief in Rui Li’s eyes Rui Yewan shook his head telling her not to be reckless but of course, Rui Li wouldn’t listen. She deliberately pointed into thin air and said, “Look, Yao-ge.”
As soon as that name came out of those lips the soul that had just journeyed into the distant galaxy immediately returned with no delay. “What?” he whispered having realised everyone was looking at him. Rui Li was rolling on the ground laughing while Rui Yewan reprimanded her for being too mean.
“Daydreaming during the meeting I see,” said Huishe Nan before sighing in disappointment. This kid was beyond saving. He wouldn’t be surprised that his grandson would be a henpecked husband in the not so distant future.
After seeing this both Huishe Yue and Huishe Nan’s gazes shifted to the leg still shaking under the table. Rui Fei who had no idea what they were looking at followed their gazes only to see his leg shaking involuntarily out of excitement.
He immediately got up and said, “Ahem….. I, I am going to pack my things.”
Everyone, “…”
‘We know you are excited but aren’t you being a little fast?’ thought Huishe Nan who had a sneaking suspicion that he won’t see a shadow of Rui Fei the moment they pass through that portal.
But before Rui Fei could run off to pack all the sweet things in his grandmother’s kitchen so he could bring it for Ji Yao the door was pushed open and his nana walked in with her face as black as the bottom of a pot.
The culprit who had done this had long left leaving behind a mess she expected someone else to clean up. Huishe Shushi closed the door and walked over slowly surrounded by an aura so sinister that it scared everyone into silence. One has to understand that this female never got angry at anyone.
She had never raised her voice at her children, husband or servants before but today she scolded all of them. “Is it fun lying to me? Do you all think I am stupid? Especially you… did you enjoy lying to me?” she said pointing at her befuddled husband.
Thinking that Huishe Yingtao had been spending time with his wife, he finally got enlightened. He should have known that she would open her trap and sell them out.
“I told you you needed to deal with her,” mumbled Rui Fei earning himself a glare so vicious that surprisingly scared him. It was like being singled out of a crowd by an agitated viper.
“I accepted that he is a boy and I also accepted that we shouldn’t expect great-grandkids from you but you…. all five of you didn’t tell me that he is a Qilin. I have to hear it from that green tea bitch while she subtly threatened me,” she said before banging the table as she continued, “Was. It. Fun. Keeping. Me. In. The. Dark. Huh?”
With each word, there was a loud,
‘Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang,’ as an accompaniment.
Each time she banged the table everyone’s heart would jolt in fright. It seemed Huishe Yingtao had dug her grave with that revelation. It wasn’t so much as what she said but how she said it. No female in this clan had so much balls as she did going after the Clan leader’s wife.
If she only knew how many bitch slaps and hair pulling Huishe Shushi had to do to get this position she wouldn’t have opened her mouth. Huishe Shushi might appear docile but that’s because she had matured over the years. One should never mistake benevolence for cowardice.
Now Huishe Shushi understood why they all told her to stay as far away as possible from Huishe Yingtao. She sighed as she glared at her husband who was as quiet as a mouse right now.
“So tell me…. how do you plan on fixing this. He is in love already and we can’t change that but how are you planning on dealing with the clan?” she said with a livid tone laced with a hint of doting towards Rui Fei.
Being put on the spot Huishe Nan could only stammer, “I…. we, we can discuss this later but don’t be angry, okay.”
“Tsk… at least I still have Huishe Yue. He can give me a cute cub to keep me company now that I found out Tong Tong doesn’t belong to us….. *sigh…. mum will find you a pretty female, okay?”
As she said this two people resisted the urge to laugh while Rui Fei said, “Well, good luck with that uncle.”
“Pfft… AHAHAHAHAHA I am so, so sorry,” said Rui Li trying so hard to restrain herself. Rui Yewan also wanted to laugh but he was more reserved. He just dragged her out following behind Rui Fei.
“What? Are you hiding something else as well? HUISHE YUE!!!!” she yelled before forcibly calming herself down. With a fake smile, she asked, “Who are you hiding?”
Huishe Yue, ‘Save me.’
Unfortunately, not even the heavens could save him now. That night Huishe Shushi almost passed out in anger. Not because of what she found out but how she found out. She had to thank that green tea bitch for this though she planned on dealing with her later.
On the other side of the world, it wasn’t only Huishe Shushi who was discovering she had been deceived. Ji Wen had also found out that his wife had deceived not only him but Ji Yao. As to how he found out? It was because he hadn’t seen Qilin Luse and that blackbird for days. Curious as to what they had been up to he searched his entire island only to bump into an invincible barrier at the desolate part of his land.
Because he couldn’t break it he dragged his wife over asking for help.
Seeing the cat was out of the bag she revealed to him a big secret. Inside the barrier was the exact replica of the world between worlds with seven pillars to be exact.
Apparently, she had recreated it on their island which meant his son was literally on a wild goose chase. And when he asked, “Why would you lie to him and send him halfway across the world.”
Her response was, “He will be safer there… plus, how can I negotiate his dowry when they can just snatch him up leaving us with nothing to garner a peace treaty with. The Huishe are black-bellied bastards and would annihilate us on the spot once they get their hands on Ji Yao.”
The hurt Ji Wen had then asked, “Then why didn’t you tell me? I am good at keeping secrets.”
At that time she gazed at him with a blank expression before saying, “Really? You are the worst at keeping secrets. Your face always looks constipated when you have secrets others shouldn’t know. You better stay away from those two idiots sent by my father otherwise they will read your face and know something is up.”
Ji Wen, “…..”
