Voyage With The Pirate King - Chapter 409
Qilin Hao scoffed as she stared straight into his eyes and replied, “Hmph as if.” Qilin Kai’s lip twitched but he couldn’t be bothered by her right now. He glanced over at Wei Wei before vanishing on the spot.
As soon as he disappeared, Huishe Nan took a step forward and said, “Now that he is gone can we discuss what this is.”
Qilin Hao slowly turned her body and said, “Well, it’s a marriage alliance, of course,” with a smile so wide you would think she had won the jackpot.
Everyone, “….”

Ji Yao who had no idea that he was being used as a bargaining chip was sitting on a table in the second level of the restaurant reading something while his crew members who had nothing better to do were gambling.
He had sensed something off with the skies earlier on but because they were the furthest from his father’s island he had no idea that something big had just happened.
When he sensed the anomaly in the tide and sky he had sailed to the location that his mother spoke of but there was nothing. Disappointed they went back to the town only to spend the entire day lazing around.
No one had dared to disturb him as he sat there alone. It was only after sunset did someone have the audacity to come over.
It was Xiao Yùnqì and that kid Tong Tong who brought him a plate with three osmanthus cakes. The sweet-scented cakes were so inviting that he couldn’t resist picking one up despite not having much of an appetite. Just as he was about to take a bite he noticed something underneath it.
With a cocked eyebrow, he unravelled the piece of paper and got so annoyed when he saw what was written. It read:
Since Yao-ge doesn’t love me, I will go down with your ship.
There was no need to even mention who had the balls to write such a thing. He honestly thought they had an understanding but it seems not. Vowing to finish her off he got up from his seat and jumped out of the window with his sword unsheathed.
His actions were so unusual that they attracted Big Hei and Xunshi Zhe’s attention. Knowing that the last ones to approach Ji Yao was these two dumplings Big Hei asked, “Where is the Captain going?”
Tong Tong who had his mouth full of osmanthus cake shrugged his shoulder while Xiao Yùnqì replied, “No idea.”
Xunshi Zhe who finally noticed their stuffed mouths with crumbs asked, “Hey, where did you get that? That stingy chef would never be caught dead giving any of us sweet cakes when he makes them for Ji Yao so how did you two manage to get him to give you some?”
The pair who absolutely didn’t get these from the chef casually answered, “These aren’t from the chef uncle.”
“Yeah…. some Jiejie told us to give them to the Captain and as payment, we got these.”
Xunshi Zhe’s brain almost short-circuited as his eyes twitched at their response. “Wait, wait… uh you are saying that some strange Jiejie in the night came to you two and told you to give this to Ji Yao and you agreed? Xiao Yùnqì you are much older how can you be so fuckin stupid?”
If he only knew that Tong Tong had lived five decades he wouldn’t have said that. “Shit….. let’s go,” said Big Hei intending to follow Ji Yao but it was bound to be a futile attempt.
That’s because when Ji Yao strode to his ship he was suddenly swooped up from the ground vanishing without a trace. Actually if one wanted to find him they would only need to look up in the sky. But because it was dark they probably won’t be able to see properly.
In the inky darkness was a magnificent Huishe with its tail coiled around Ji Yao’s body. Taken by surprise Ji Yao wanted to fight but before he even had that opportunity the rest of the Huishe’s body was suddenly encircled around him and stopped with the head staring straight at him.
Ji Yao who had been frantic a second ago felt his breath caught in his chest as his heart skipped. Those eyes… that pattern. His eyes stung and at the corner of his eye, he felt like something was going to come out. He closed his eyes with his head leaning forward.
As their heads touched a tear flowed at the corner of his eye his lips twitching. Before he knew it he was hugging the giant Huishe his body trembling overwhelmed by his emotions. Rui Fei had finally made it back home.
Meanwhile, the crew of Red Valkyrie had reached the ship and got on board only to be met by a boy and a girl sitting leisurely on the main deck like they owned the ship.
For those who had seen Rui Li and Rui Yewan before it was also difficult for them to recognize the pair at a glance. That’s because Rui Yewan had grown taller and had a weird black patch on his chin.
As for Rui Li, she had ditched the orange robes and pigtails going for a bob cut with ombre ginger orange hair. She had also grown taller and shed off the baby fat on her face. She looked like a beautiful maiden plenty would fall in love with.
“Ah, I was wondering when you would show up. Don’t worry it’s not a kidnapping. Your captain is just reuniting with his lover,” said Rui Li with her hand on her waist as she stood there proudly.
Rui Yewan who remained seated tossed something in the air and said, “Yep….. a whole lot of reuniting.”
“Just don’t expect him back tonight… at least,” she said with the latter part of her sentence said with a calculating expression.
Xunshi Zhe, “…..”
Big Hei, “How on earth…”
Yes, how on earth were these two here? What a mystery.
A mystery that Ji Yao also wanted to solve but at this moment he couldn’t bring himself to ask. He was so overwrought that the words wouldn’t come out of his mouth. His mind was in such a messed up state that he didn’t notice when Rui Fei set him down.
In front of him was an open deck with golden lights of lit lanterns and silk curtains covering the starry night. But before he could notice the bed, kang table and cushions set up giving off romantic vibes a pair of hands slid around his waist and he was embraced from behind. “Yao-ge…. I am back,” said a husky voice reverberating in the crevice of Ji Yao’s neck.
