Voyage With The Pirate King - Chapter 435
It seemed he really liked the chin scratch. It felt so good that he subconsciously squinted his eyes. Unfortunately, he couldn’t enjoy this special treatment for long because Tong Tong suddenly hugged Ji Yao while crying silently. Without even realizing it Ji Yao had been drawn into their own little world by Rui Fei that he forgot his distant cousin sitting next to him.
His first instinct was to push Tong Tong away but his body had no aversion towards him which was a little odd. Maybe it was because of their blood relation that it was so. The blood relation between them was tied together by a thin thread two generations over. That is to say, their grandfathers were brothers.
Ji Yao’s hand that was about to push him away froze. He was a little unaccustomed to being touched by anyone other than Rui Fei. Even his father rarely touched him. As for his mother, he could count the number of times in one hand.
Now this kid….. oh sorry, elder was now hugging him while crying with his tears staining Ji Yao’s robe. Since the elder had received the worst news Ji Yao decided to let him hug a little longer.
Because he was starting at Tong Tong he didn’t get to see the colourful expressions on the Rui sibling’s faces. Rui Li was wide-eyed with a dumbstruck appearance while Rui Yewan was watching his brother’s dark expression. He wanted to remind Rui Fei that they are related so he wrote it down. He pushed the note over and had to nudge him to get him to look at it.
Rui Fei turned his face towards him his expression like the grim reaper about to reap a soul. Rui Yewan felt his soul fly away in fright but he maintained his stern expression and gestured with his eyes at the note.
Rui Fei glanced at the note but instead of being soothed, he was even more gloomy. He wanted to say, “Even cousins that distant can get married.” He disintegrated the paper and turned his face back to Ji Yao with his thigh bumping into the man’s to express his unhappiness.
Ji Yao reached over to knead Rui Fei’s thigh while at the same time trying to convince Tong Tong to let him go. Somehow the little cub could read the situation. He reluctantly let go of Ji Yao and apologized, “I am so sorry Captain Ji… I just… I just needed this.”
His eyes, cheeks and lips were red but he tried to pretend like everything was okay as he pushed away his flyaway hair from his face.
“Like Li-er and Wan Wan you can call me Yao-ge,” said Ji Yao but as he said this Rui Fei was making his move. His arm reached for Ji Yao’s waist and pulled him closer his face almost sticking to Ji Yao’s face like a band-aid.
They were so close that if Ji Yao carelessly moved his head a little his lips would brush past Rui Fei’s skin.
“Do you think my father would ever want to see me?” asked Tong Tong the least bit affected by the dog food being shoved in his face. His grandparents had almost blinded his eyes for five decades with their PDA. He was almost immune to it.
Ji Yao had no idea so he couldn’t promise him anything. As things stood now they were currently on opposing sides with Qilin Kai and according to his mother’s character if she met her cousin on the battlefield she would most definitely kill him.
“I don’t know but I will try to make it happen,” replied Ji Yao as he pushed away the hand that was sliding against his abdomen to embrace him.
Tong Tong suddenly stood up and sincerely thanked Ji Yao before taking his leave. He needed some air and space to digest what he had just heard. The family that loved him and raised him turned out not to be his actual family. Instead, it was the clan he was taught to hate since young that was his family. How could he not be upset right now?
Thus he decided to take a step outside and have some fresh air. As he stepped out Rui Fei stared at the two people sitting on the other end and said, “Go keep him company.”
When he said this his entire body was literally leaning against Ji Yao like he was using him to hold his body up. Telling them to keep Tong Tong company was only an afterthought. “More like you want to have some time alone with Yao-ge,” mumbled Rui Yewan as he got up.
“What? Are you jealous?” asked Rui Fei in a teasing manner as his deep gaze stared at Ji Yao’s lips intently like he was about to get take a bite out of him.
Ji Yao tilted his body to the side trying to run away but how could he get rid of this person that easily. “Ugh saozi don’t fight it… you can’t win against him hehe,” said Rui Li as she walked out and politely closed the door for them.
As soon as the third, fourth and fifth wheels were gone Rui Fei pushed Ji Yao down. It was like the leash that was holding him back finally snapped cutting him loose. Ji Yao stared at him with a raised brow and asked, “What are you doing?”
With a serious face and scholarly air, he said, “I was jealous and you were jealous as well so we need to do the birds and the bees so we can treat our jealousy.”
“…..? That doesn’t even make sense,” replied Ji Yao staring up at the person who was shamelessly trying to wiggle into his pants.
“It’s the formula baby, you can’t fight it. After we do this I promise we will both be cured…. Just don’t hurt yourself anymore,” he said as his fingers traced Ji Yao’s hand that had crushed the cup earlier.
In fact, he wasn’t injured nor was it painful but Rui Fei couldn’t help but worry. Ji Yao clenched his fist preventing Rui Fei from inspecting his hand further and said, “How can I not when you deliberately make me jealous. You like seeing me going crazy don’t you?”
Rui Fei’s eyes widened in disbelief. He couldn’t accept that these words came out of Ji Yao’s mouth. “Says the guy who had two suitors on board his ships. First, it was Xiaoyu then Zhang Ci and also that Zhanglang bastard.”
“That dog better keep his distance otherwise I will turn his ship into a shipwreck with him in it. A captain goes down with his ship….,” complained Rui Fei before his lips were sealed by Ji Yao.
Ji Yao lowered his head and asked, “Feel better?”
Rui Fei who still had his eyes closed smiled a little and shamelessly said, “Not enough. Maybe one more will do the trick.”
A low chuckle escaped Ji Yao’s throat as his arms wrapped around Rui Fei’s neck to pull him down.
