Voyage With The Pirate King - Chapter 450
As dust rose from the ground Qilin San yelled at the two, “Are you going to step out by yourselves or do you want me to drag you out of there?”
Rui Fei got off Ji Yao before helping him up. Brushing the dust off Ji Yao’s body he said, “No need for that… we were done playing here anyway.”
Qilin San had never been this pissed off before in his entire life. He was as mad as the day his wife despised him after their wedding night. Ji Yao right now was wearing the exact same expression as she did and the face was two parts similar. As expected like grandmother, like mother, like son.
Ji Yao didn’t shy away from his penetrating gaze. His eyes were as menacing as Qilin San’s. It was as though they were sizing each other up with none of them willing to back down.
The only reason Ji Yao backed down was because Rui Fei became a little too enthusiastic about the dusting. He brushed the dust off Ji Yao’s shoulders and hair but when he got behind him he really lingered on his ass. Once, twice, thrice, quadriceps…. Ji Yao couldn’t take it anymore.
“Stop!….. What are you doing?” he said smacking Rui Fei’s hand away.
“There is a lot of dust. It’s all over your behind,” replied Rui Fei with an expression so serious you would think he was being honest.
“But I was lying on my back just now so how does that make sense?” replied Ji Yao catching the sly pug in his web of lies.
Rui Fei pursed his lips with his hand frozen mid-air as though contemplating whether to do it again or not.
Guess what he decided to do? He brushed that ass again with maybe an intentional or unintentional grope or two.
Ji Yao, “???”
The pair was about to get into it again, especially with that sly quirk at the corner of Rui Fei’s eyes. Qilin San who had been ignored again was about to blow up. Now he understood what his subordinates were complaining about.
Instead of guarding prisoners, it was more like watching a weird version of ninety-day fiance but even that show is modest half the time. These two were so annoying with their dog food. After all, there is such a thing as too much dog food.
Before he could finally explode another explosive force brought his priorities back in check. “Start walking,” he said to the two his expression looking like he was ready to hurt one of them to teach the other a lesson. Lucky for him these two didn’t plan on staying in the dungeon anymore nor did they have the energy to pick a fight.
Meanwhile, Tong Tong who had been knocked out suddenly opened his eyes. He was lying on a spacious bed that wasn’t as comfortable as the one he had in Niuq.
In front of him was a face he had been recently acquainted with and didn’t have a good impression of. Next to him was a woman with blond hair. She was about the same age as Huishe Shushi with the same caring eyes but he couldn’t be bothered by that right now.
He recalled that Ji Yao and Rui Fei had been abducted by that man and the expression on that man’s face looked like he was going to kill them.
“Yao-ge,” he said grabbing the corner of the quilt to pull it off but before he could get up he was pushed back down on the bed.
“No, no Tong Tong. Don’t, don’t get up. It’s okay. Nana is here,” she said stroking his hair.
Tong Tong was about to get up disregarding them entirely. If anything happens to Ji Yao he would be extremely heartbroken. For some reason, he had developed a deep connection with Ji Yao despite having known him for a short time. Maybe it was because he showed acceptance towards him despite their parents being on opposite sides. But before he got up again he saw a face so similar to his that his heart tightened.
This person….. this person must be his father. The two stared at each other for a very long time as the room fell into silence. Qilin Kai was massaging the palm of his hand while staring at his son.
His body hadn’t fully recovered from the conflict he had with Qilin San with some of the wounds visible on his wrists and arms. It was obvious his aetherial veins had been scorched by a flame much more powerful than his.
“We have to go,” he said to his parents but his gaze remained fixed on Tong Tong.
Qilin Yanjing got up abruptly and whispered, “You know he won’t let that happen.”
Qilin Kai lowered his gaze as he explained, “He is busy with Ji Yao and that Huishe bastard.”
“He is not a bastard!” exploded Tong Tong who for once stood up for himself. His rage, anger and frustration burst forth with his timid nature was thrown out of the window. The most important thing here wasn’t being discussed.
His hands trembling and his eyes red he pointed at himself and said, “I am the bastard not him. Me….. I am the bastard whose father slept with other people’s betrothed and didn’t even make an effort to make sure he doesn’t leave any evidence behind. So don’t call him a bastard because I am…..”
After saying this he broke down crying. He buried his face in his knees and hugged his legs as tears streamed down his face.
Qilin Kai’s breath hitched and he couldn’t even refute that. He had done all those things but it was because he loved her and thought she would run away with him. At that time he was rebelling against everyone and everything around him.
He was rebelling against his uncle and rebelling against his clan. At such a vulnerable time he met that beautiful Pixiu who was also rebelling against her clan. From that day on they had a deep connection and why would he pass up the opportunity to screw a Huishe over?
He thought she would be willing to run away with him but of course, that didn’t happen. What he didn’t expect though was that she would fall pregnant and his son would be raised in other people’s families.
“This isn’t the right time to talk about this,” he said averting his gaze. He had to get his son out of this place first then they can have this conversation.
The way Qilin San’s behaviour was getting erratic wasn’t good for any of them. Who knows when he would lose his shit and kill one of them.
But who would have thought Tong Tong would be stubborn. “No… I am not going anywhere.. As long as my Captain is here I will stay and fight alongside him.”
