VRMMORPG: Dragomancer Reborn - Chapter 208 Uncertainty
Arthur’s mind was made up and he wasn’t going to back down from whatever the response might be. To him, they all might as well be the same with the precautions that he was going to take.
Arthur didn’t log out right away though. First, he transferred the revenue that he had generated from the forums.
<User Revenue>
Total Generated: 9471 UC
He quickly clicked on the option to withdraw the funds.
>Would you like to withdraw the Generated revenue?<
“Withdraw all generated post revenue.” Arthur permitted.
>9471 UC shall be credited to the user Grey Watcher’s account<
Then a moment later, Arthur saw the notification from the bank pop up.
~DING~
>9471 UC has been credited to your account<
>Total Balance: 10,178 UC<
With the amount that Arthur had obtained earlier and the expenditures that he had made, he now had a stable amount once again.
It was just enough for him to not care as well as be able to do normal shopping as he pleased. At the very least, he didn’t need to check the price tags when he was doing some simple vegetable or grocery shopping.
“I can’t remember when I had such much money at once… perhaps one of the quests that netted me a fortune in the past.” Arthur tried to recall.
He reminisced his old memories but then steeled his mind for the coming tasks. He already had the steps he needed to take in his mind and would do so tomorrow.
“Time will pass fast…” Arthur muttered to himself as he roused from the Dream Pod V3.
It was another bright morning and there were no clouds to be seen.
Arthur sat on the lounger and gazed upon the vast cityscape from the balcony feeling a strange sense of solace. He had made himself a little pot of coffee which was rare for him.
He wasn’t a person to drink coffee usually, as it didn’t fit his schedule in the past and was also expensive. But now that he had the wealth to enjoy the little things he decided he may as well do as he pleased for the minor things.
Arthur sipped the bittersweet coffee that lacked the proper skill or the cream to make it standard and simply basked in the serene environment.
Even if it was a bit uncanny for the city, Arthur knew there was nothing wrong in enjoying it. Maxwell city wasn’t gonna be like this all the time.
‘The Disasters will be shaping its future.’ Arthur knew making his expression darken.
The earthquakes and other disasters were something that always stayed in his mind.
They were possibly the greatest direct threats to him, as they could always harm him even if he knew about them. No amount of wealth could possibly stop them from happening.
The best he could do was to avoid them which was what he had planned for the future.
“Ugh… it always goes to this.” Arthur put away the coffee mug as the bitter feeling of the earthquakes resurged in his mind.

He had seen too many scenes of devastation and more while having died in one of the worst ones.
‘They will always be difficult to handle. Even if I know where they are gonna happen, it is still hard to bear the pain of it all.’ Arthur thought to himself while his mind rocked with the images of what could happen.
He knew that he himself could avoid it, but the others would not be able to do the same. Even if he went around and proclaimed that there was gonna be an earthquake here, he would be taken as insane.
And once the earthquake did happen and his words were taken as true, he would be captured by the government and put under close scrutiny.
As such, Arthur was in a position where he had to let others suffer and bear their deaths on his conscience.
‘But is it really my fault? Zaddreus did say that they tried to bring as many people back to the past as possible… as such they have all died and returned but just don’t remember.’ Arthur pondered on it, his face going cold.
His mind lingered on the matter for a few minutes as he finished his coffee.
“I should go out for a run.” Arthur decided that would be better for him to clear out his mind.
He quickly switched to some joggers and went down to the lobby, encountering a familiar person.
“Miss Felicia, good morning.” Arthur greeted the woman who seemed to have just arrived.
“Arthur right?” Felicia looked at Arthur a neutral expression on her face.
“I’m pleased that you remember me.” Arthur smiled, “here for work?” he asked.
“Yes, I do have some ‘work’.” Felicia said. “I’ll take my leave for now.”
Arthur watched the woman enter the lift and wondered what she was in a hurry for. But when he walked out of the lobby, he found a probably reason for it.
“The Hypnotek Truck?” Arthur saw the delivery truck that would bring the Dream Pods.
“Let’s get this done quick, we still have eight more deliveries to do after this.” The delivery team people were talking to each other.
Arthur didn’t recognize them as they weren’t the same ones that had delivered the Dream Pod for him.
“We are to take this to the top floor?” One of them checked the delivery address on the tablet. “Yeah, top floor it is.”
Hearing this, Arthur smiled slightly.
‘Guess she really is gonna be starting to play now.’ Arthur now understood why she seemed to be in a rush.
Felicia Martel was a rather good player and played everyday. Unknown to most others, she would become enchanted by Morpheus Online and would be heavily invested in it.
It was something that went against her public image somewhat, but would soon become normal as many other people of similar or even higher status did the same.
Morpheus Online would become a standard pastime for a lot of people.
Arthur started his run and tried to do it for as long as he could. This allowed him to test his stamina which had improved once more.
‘Since the game affects me here too, I wonder if the increase in game stats has changed my real world stats too again.’ Arthur wondered.

Arthur checked his stats and found that they had increased once more.
‘No wonder I was feeling a lot better. Almost all my physical stats have increased.’ Arthur thought to himself.
The threshold that Arthur had original thought of was 25 points and it was further clarified now that he had seen other stats increased after doing that too.
“With the increase I’ll have better health. Though other than the speed I still need to see what things have changed. Others will have to be tested too.…” Arthur muttered to himself and made his way back to the Wisteria Apartments.
He was feeling hungry after the run and wished to have something quick.
“Hmm… let’s see… Some Sausage and eggs with stir fried veggies it is.” Arthur put a pan on the stove and started cooking.
He had bought groceries earlier which made it simple for him to cook.
>Player Arthur’s Hunger is at 100%<
“That’s better…” Arthur relaxed for a bit after eating the breakfast and watched some news.
He had the entire day to go before he would be logging in to the game again.
Most of the day went by in Arthur doing revisions to his plan of meeting Rain until he felt that it was perfect. He wanted it to go well, while also keeping himself secure.
As such it was important for him to avoid making any mistakes or errors that could cost him.
Arthur got so engrossed in it that it was night and was a bit late for dinner. He made something quick so that he would be finished before it was time to play.

>Login is now available!<
The notification popped up on his phone when he was in the middle of eating his dinner.
‘Just gotta finish this quick.’ Arthur chowed down the rest of his food in a couple of minutes and sat down inside the Dream Pod V3.
“Login to Morpheus Online,” Arthur said right away upon arriving at the desktop screen.
~SHUA~
A flurry of colors went past him as he was transported back into his game Avatar.

<New Message from Player Val>
Not even a minute passed upon his arrival that a message popped up.
“Huh, she’s fast today.” Arthur opened it.
<Val: what are we doing today? More quests? I’m waiting near the guild>
Just like he had spoken before with hear, Val was eager and ready this time.
But unfortunately for her, Arthur had other plans today.
Arthur left the inn and walked to the guild to meet up with her.
‘I should at least tell her in person,’ He reckoned.
