VRMMORPG: Dragomancer Reborn - Chapter 225 Injured Night Slayer And Fear
The longer Arthur watched the more he realized that the Night Slayer wasn’t exactly in a good condition.
It took him a while to figure this out since the Night Slayer wasn’t stationary for too long. He would continue to move around and jump at great speed making it hard to tell his condition.
But after a while the Night Slayer also started to slow down.
‘He’s actually injured!’ Arthur spotted several injuries on the Night Slayer.
In the moment the Night Slayer had halted for a moment, Arthur got a proper look at him.
The Night Slayer was wearing a long black garb under which a full set of black armor was hidden. Behind him a dark cape that looked like the night sky fluttered with each movement.
His face was hidden behind a menacing helmet. The helmet had two small horns as well as a crown like design built into it while a straight slit was also present allowing one to look.
Through the slits, one could only see two glowing red dots that would inspire fear in all those that looked at it.
Strangely enough though, the Night Slayer seemed to have no weapon with him.
‘Did he lose his sword?’ Arthur wondered.
From what he could remember, the Night Slayer could use several weapons but usually he was spotted with his signature long sword. But looking at him, there was no sword present which made Arthur think the man might have lost it in the fight.
The man’s armor was covered in scorch marks, but they could barely be seen due to the similar color of the armor. The most disturbing parts though were the cracks and cuts on the man’s armor.
“The armor that wouldn’t even be scratched by the players is now broken to this extent…” Arthur didn’t know just what kind of Mage could cause this much damage.
Arthur wondered just how far his HP had fallen, but the level disparity was too high for him to tell.
‘But considering he has slowed down, there is a high chance his stamina is at the 50% mark.’ Arthur could estimate from his experience.
Players didn’t need to always rely on the appraisal skills to tell how their foes were. One could also figure that out by simply assessing the physical condition of the enemies.
Expert players would be able to accurately estimate just how much HP and Stamina an enemy had.
Of course, this varied from enemy to enemy, but for humanoid enemies or just human NPCs it was still decently accurate.

While Arthur was trying to figure out the condition of the Night Slayer, a peculiar sound was heard.
‘Huh?’ Arthur looked up in the sky and saw a large magic circle forming.
The magic circle was at least fifty meters wide and had countless magical runes composing it. Arthur only needed to take one look before he realized just what it was.
“FUCK! Scorch Plain Decimation Spell!” Arthur recognized one of the strongest fire spells that a player could get. ‘If this spell is being used, the other party isn’t just in the 200s… this spell isn’t even available before the third class upgrade… The enemy is possibly in the 300s!’ A mix of anxiety and fear filled Arthur.
His eyes darted around trying to figure out just who had used the spell. Even if there was a great chance he was going to die, he absolutely needed to know how a person like this had appeared here.
The implications of it were very grave after all.
‘This goes against a lot of the things that I learned in the past.’ Arthur thought to himself as he tried to sense the mana in the air.
He knew that finding the hidden person with his eyes might not be easy, but if he could track the mana source he might just be able to see them.
‘With such a strong spell, there has to be a source of mana!’ Arthur closed his eyes and controlled his breathing.
The Dragomancer class could use magic too as such he could still sense the ambient mana in the air. He might not have the Mana Sense skill, but with something as big as this even Arthur could figure it out without it.
There were no more explosions happening since the the unknown Mage had switched to a large scale spell, as such Arthur was able to focus better and soon sensed a peculiar flow of mana.
‘THERE!’ Arthur opened his eyes and followed along what felt like an invisible river of mana.
The river was flowing into the large magic circle in the air and powering it. Arthur simply followed the river to its source and soon spotted the caster.
The unknown Mage was hidden by the trees in the forest and could barely be seen. Arthur could spot them due to the Mana coming from them as well as the faint shimmer of runes around them due to the use of magic.
‘Who is that? And they are on a horse?’ Arthur narrowed his eyes and used Dragon’s Insight.
>Dragon’s Insight has failed!<
‘Of course…’ Arthur had already expected this to happen as the said person was probably above level 300. ‘It can’t even give me a name or show the window… there is no chance for the skill to work.’ He confirmed.

But a second later, an incredible fear filled Arthur’s body. He shivered like he was standing in the middle of an Arctic Blizzard and didn’t know what was happening.
>Warning! Player Arzhur has been inflicted with Great Terror!<
>Player Arzhur will be stunned and all variable stats are reduced by 50%!<
>Player Arzhur’s Max HP has fallen to 50%!<
>Player Arzhur’s Max MP has fallen to 50%!<
>Player Arzhur’s Max Stamina has fallen to 50%!<
Arthur looked at the notifications and knew that things were very bad. But this was only the start as his eyes met the unknown Mage in the forest down below.
‘This…’ His lips couldn’t move at all and his teeth chattered.
