Vyr’s Journey Through The Multiverse - Chapter 11

(A/N this is an AU so don’t flip out about how things aren’t accurate to the show)

Qrow took Vyr and guided her away from the city by flying ship.Vyr was surprised to learn she was going to ride in the Vehicle torchwick escaped with, in the first episode of RWBY. They landed on an island that was connected to the mainland by a land bridge. On the island was a two story ranch house. The house was cozy and not really special in any way. Next to the house there were some smaller buildings, including a small garage with an attached landing port where Qrow set down the vehicle. Taiyang came outside to see who it was. He was surprised to see Qrow bringing a brightly colored girl behind him. The girl was inspecting the bullhead they arrived on, it seemed like she would take it apart soon, tools or not.

(Taiyang)”Qrow I didn’t take you for the kidnapping type. Should i get a restraining order for yang and ruby?”

Vyr was laughing while Qrow just gave a deadpan response “Haha, very funny. No this girl is Vyr and she needs a place to stay for a bit.”

“Did you take her in or something?”

“No she came to me believe it or not. We just came from talking to ozpin, she helped us with the whole frozen Amber thing.”

Taiyang seemed surprised before looking at the girl again. Vyr smiled and waved at him when she caught him staring at her, she then went back to checking the Vehicle they arrived in. she was debating whether it would be a good idea to start taking it apart without the correct tools.

Taiyang decided to act fast when he saw her start reaching for the vehicle with a weird smile on her face.

(Taiyang)”yeah she can stay. She will have to share a room though. You ok with that girl?”

Vyr looked back at him and said “Huh? Oh yeah sure, i’m used to sharing a room. I’ve been bunking with my teammates for the past few years.”

Qrow seemed surprised at that but before he could say anything Taiyang told Vyr to follow him and headed into the house. Qrow sighed to himself and took a drink from his flask forgetting Vyr had replaced his usual drink.

Vyr was about to ask Taiyang if she could borrow his kitchen when she heard Qrow coughing and sputtering behind her. Taiyang made to go back and see what happened when Vyr said “don’t worry about him he just tried the liquor i left in his flask. Hey, I gotta ask, can I use your kitchen? I asked Qrow if we could stop but he said it was getting late. So he didn’t stop. I can pay you for the ingredients.”

” you gave him liquor? Yeah sure you can use the kitchen and you don’t have to pay. you’ll be staying here a while. Plus Qrow said you saved Amber, I think the least I can do is let you cook some food.”

“Great! Thank you! Do you mind if i make cookies then?”

*sigh*”My daughter is gonna love you. Yeah go ahead just make an extra batch or two as well. I’m gonna check on Qrow, I think he is still choking. What did you give him anyway?”

“Oh that was a drink from my homeland called White Gull. I found what he was drinking too weak.”

“You drink? I won’t say anything, i don’t know what it’s like where you’re from but don’t drink around my kids. And just so you know, Qrow drinks the strongest stuff I know.”

“Alright i wont drink around here, and if that’s the strongest stuff you know then im disappointed in the liquor here.”

After saying so she went inside to start cooking while Taiyang went to check on Qrow. It was about half an hour later when a drunk taiyang and qrow stumbled in. Vyr asked “Taiyang sir, do you want me to cook you and your daughters food while i am here? Also I haven’t seen your daughters. If you don’t mind me asking, where are they?”

(Taiyang)*drunkenly*”You can jush call meh Tai, everyone dush. It would be sho nice if you would cook for ush. Hey krow where ish ruby and yang?”

(Qrow)*drunkenly*”ruby shed they would be gon to look at magashines after clash. Hey, can i hash food too?”

(Vyr)”Yeah ill make sure to cook extra maybe you to should hold back on the drinking.”

Vyr went back to cooking, and just as she was about to finish she heard a vehicle pull up outside. As she was setting the kitchen table Ruby and Yang came through the door laughing. They drew up short seeing Vyr setting the table and the two drunk men playing video games in the living room.

(Vyr)*smiling*”yo, you must be Tai’s daughters. Im Vyr BloodLotus and i’m going to have to stay here for a bit. We can talk more about that over dinner, I hope you haven’t eaten yet. Will you two please help the light weights to the table, they should have sobered up a bit by now. Oh! And Tai said one of you likes cookies. I made some but you’ll have to wait till after dinner.”

While Yang was still surprised ruby had become a gust of wind and roses after hearing cookies. Before Vyr could finish her sentence ruby had already done as she asked and moved everyone, yang included, to the table. Vyr laughed and sat down herself and everyone began to eat.

(Ruby)”You said you made cookies right?! What kind? Also why is this food so good?!”

“I made a couple actually. Tai never told me what kind you like so I just made a bunch of different kinds. And I’m glad you like it. In return for staying here I plan to cook and train you all. It’s the only thing i can do besides music after all.”

Yang cut ruby off and asked “You said you were staying with us, do you know how long? And this is super good. I didn’t think food could taste this good. This is better than the restaurants in town. ”

“I don’t know actually. The longest would be a year or two at most. It depends on how fast I can get into beacon academy.”

(Yang)”You want to go to beacon?”

“Yeah, Where I’m from, people who hunt monsters are called Witchers. I passed all my training not long ago and I want to see how it matches up to the huntress training in Beacon.”

(Ruby)”That’s so cool!! So you already graduated where you’re from? Where is your weapon then?”

“I left my swords by the door. I can show them to you while we try the cookies if you want.”

While Ruby was yelling “Yes” and trying to eat faster Yang asked “What’s wrong with the two zombies?”

“Oh that? I gave Qrow some liquor from my homeland because his was too weak. I guess he shared some with Tai while I was cooking. Buncha lightweights if you ask me. I only gave them a flask full.”

(Ruby & Yang)”YOU DRINK?!!!”

“Yeah? I mean Tai said i couldn’t drink in front of you two, so im not right now but i normally drink quite a bit if you consider the medicine of my school is mixed with alcohol.”

They looked at her stunned before finishing their food. While Yang was tossing Qrow and Tai into the same bed “because it’s fun” she said. Vyr and Ruby were eating cookies and looking at Vyr’s two blades.

After Yang had managed to get the two half asleep ȧduŀts upstairs and into taiyangs room. She stripped them both down to their undėrwėȧr and positioned them to be cuddling in bed together. Her Uncle Qrow was obviously the little spoon. She came back downstairs to find Vyr with a very amused face feeding Ruby by hand. Her little sister was very accepting of this while she was examining Vyr’s two swords. She sent a questioning look Vyr’s way and she replied “your sister is cute, i’ve tried talking to her but she seems hell bent on discovering the secret of my swords.”

After hearing her words Ruby blushed a bit before finishing the cookie in Vyr’s hand, jumping up, and saying “I give up! I can’t figure out how they work. They light up like they are magic. I can’t find a dust port at all. What do you use? Powdered dust?”

Vyr pulled Ruby back beside her and took her swords saying “They don’t work on dust at all. I use signs and certain magic to make them do different things.”

Ruby pouted and said “If you don’t want to tell me you could have just said so.”

Vyr sighed and said “Believe it or not. I wasn’t lying. If you know one thing about me Ruby, it is that while I may not say everything, I will always tell you the truth.”

Ruby stopped pouting and asked “really?”

“Really. Really. Now let’s wash the dishes, tomorrow i will start training you two. I also need to know where i am sleeping.”

Yang was about to respond when ruby practically shouted “With me! Now let’s hurry. I can’t wait to start training!”

Yang smiled as she watched Vyr get pulled away by her sister. Since Vyr cooked dinner they decided she should go shower first while they cleaned up. When they were going to bed they found out Vyr only had her current outfit to wear. Since it was too late at night to go back to vale for clothes Ruby let Vyr wear one of her hoodies and pajama bottoms. After climbing into bed with Ruby, Vyr waited till Ruby was asleep before checking through the system as she always does. She had been thinking lately that her witcher swords won’t hold up in the long run. It totally wasn’t because she was bored using them. It could never be that. But since they might break or wear down she wanted to find a new weapon, or weapons, sooner. The problem is she was spoiled for choice. After a while of thinking she narrowed it down to three choices. It was either Dark souls 3, bloodborne, or Code vein.

‘Hey system if a world is plagued with problems, do the weapons I buy come with the problems of the world? Like the blood borne weapon baby amygdala arm. Will that cause people to go insane by looking at it?’

(System)<No. The weapons will function the same and have the same features. They even have about the same durability game wise. Weapons that use charges like bullets for the guns or blood for the chikage will instead use your magic. You can even learn to forge them yourself if you want. But they will not come with any of the passive-passive setbacks.>

‘Really? Then buy the highest level blacksmithing skill for me. And what about weapons like the Kos parasite? Not that I would use the damn thing, too fuċkn’ nasty in real life.’

(System)<Basic blacksmithing skill bought. Weapons like the Kos parasite would immediately fall under full control of the user since it is a weapon. In instances where the weapon is a lifeform because it is summoned by you the weapon will only respond to you and whoever you designate as its user.>

‘Thats neat and all but why did you only buy the basic smithing?’

‘Really now? Hey sis why is this happening?’

(Valkira System)<Huh? Oh! Hey sis! That’s so you will be able to find your divinity easier. I can’t say anymore it may set you back on your path. Now I gotta go, Sandstorm is getting drunk and she likes to gender bend stuff when she is sober! No! Sandstorm NO! That was Doctor Who! What do you mean what’s the problem? That was the main timeline! Bye sis love you, i gotta go help her!>

‘Who is Sandstorm? Whatever she must be a god if she can gender bend people.Now back to the topic at hand. I guess I’ll just get Dark souls 3. They have the widest selection plus tons of magic and cool armor. And on top of that the weapons have special effects.’
