War Online - Chapter 375: Battle of Ozreigh part-2
The entire Ozreigh city was burning in flames with dozens of dragons were roaming around, looking for the citizens who are alive.
The others were also searching around in the nearby hills and towns.
However, except for a little more than five hundred citizens from the outermost sector, every single soul from the city has disappeared without a trace. The city lord Wendell is also nowhere to be found.
It is clear that they had abandoned the city.
Angered Kyla, instead of interrogating them, she massacred every single civilian who was found and then, sent teams to nearby towns.
As she planned on leaving none of the Ozreigh citizens alive, she gave her soldiers to destroy the surrounding towns, suspecting they might be sheltering Wendell and others.
Poor citizens of the other towns didn’t know that they were getting all because Wil rescued the Dragon King, who, as soon as returning to the Imperial city, subdued two of the princes and placed them under house arrest.
When the matter was his return became public, the second prince ran away. He was currently missing along with a couple of elder dragons that are supporting him.
Kyla who was staying at Qale city also received a letter from the Imperial Palace.
However, the stubborn princess refused to accept defeat that easily. With the strongest elder dragon supporting him, she was confident in holding her ground.
Adding on top of that, she believed that her father might have escaped for she knew that he wasn’t strong enough to defeat six elder dragons.
So, after venting out her frustrations by destroying the city, she felt that she should go and gather support from the other elder dragons. After all, they were her last hope as no Dragon Lord has the courage to go against Owen.
That was what she had in mind but the situation was different from what she had imagined.
Even though almost the entire city was enveloped in flames, there was no trace of happiness on her. How could she be happy when she had no found one to vent her frustration on?
So, it only left an opposite effect on her.
Clenching her fist, Kyla growled in anger, “where that rat had gone? How could those tens of thousands of ants leave no trace?”
A frail and old-looking woman, who was flapping her draconic wings beside her, chucked, “Princess Kyla, rats and ants have one thing in common. It is that both of them often live or travel through underground.”
“Hmm?” Kyla abruptly turned her head in a sudden realization. “You mean?”
The elder dragon nodded as he pointed her finger towards the ground.
“Damn, that b**t**d.” Kyla’s rage increased. “How dare he make a fool out of me.”
She gave a quick order to her soldiers to find any hidden entrances that lead underground.
A team of soldiers entered the City lord’s mansion once again.
The last time they entered to see if there’s anyone is hiding. After finding no one else, several soldiers ransacked the Mansion and left with valuable things.
And right now, inside the messed up mansion, now, the soldiers were searching for some kind of secret chambers. They were also hoping to find any treasures that were hidden.
As the soldiers were searching in several rooms on the ground floor and the cellar, one of them decided to go to the upper floor in secret in the hopes of finding something.
Just as he reached the entrance hall where the stairs lead to the first floor, found a white-winged dragon with no horns was climbing down the stairs.
Looking at the smile on Wil’s face and how he was steadily climbing down even after spotting him, the soldier hurriedly shouted in panic, “There’s someone here.”
Quickly, from the other chambers, five more soldiers hurried to the hall.
“Kill him. What are you waiting for?” His superior scolded the panicked soldier.
“But, but… he’s far stronger. How could I?” The soldier who discovered Wil and called for help was shivering in fear.
The remaining soldiers were also seemed to be hesitating to go forward. After all, their levels were only between 100 and 200 and the opponent is a level 300.
“So, what! At the end of the day, he belongs to the white dragon race.” Their captain suddenly transformed into a magenta dragon, raising his stats by 100%.
In his view, most of the members of the white dragon clan are scholars. It is the reason why the squad captain appeared to be more confident even though he’s more than fifty levels below Wil.
*Tap* Tap*
Meanwhile, folding his hands to the back, Wil was leisurely climbing down the steps one by one as if he doesn’t care about the presence of the soldiers.
Without any prior warning, the magenta dragon breathes out flames. His subordinates backed away to save themselves from the sea of flames.
At first, all they saw was the flames. Soon, they saw a silhouette and it was becoming thicker as time passed.
“-1” “-1” “-1” “-1”
With his HP continuously reduced by 1 each second, Wil continued to move forward against the flames that are trying to burn him.
Soon, he reached the bottom step and the magenta dragon stopped breathing out the flames.
Looking at the smile on Wil, the squad captain felt humiliated and his anger rose further.
“Graa…”
Letting out a roar, he started to gather magic power into his mouth. Slowly, the magic power was converting into a ball of fire. It started to become bigger with each second.
However, Wil neither halted his movements nor removed the smile from his face. Just putting on a fake smile, he continued to move forward.
The magenta dragon spits out the giant fireball which is even bigger than Wil.
“-1”
It hit the target dead but once again, only 1 damage popped over Wil’s head. For the soldiers, Wil’s life force hasn’t decreased in the least.
While their panic only increased further, the magenta dragon was raged even more.
Flapping its wings, it flew towards Wil with raising its claws.
Finally, Wil raised his right hand and spoke, “Your turn his over. Now, it’s my turn.”
“Fireball”
Unlike the enemy, Wil’s fireball was conjured almost instantly.
While it doesn’t look as big as the latter, still, the soldiers felt its power terrifying. However, their captain who was consumed in rage was oblivious to its power.
It was only after Wil threw the fireball almost reached the incoming dragon that tried to destroy it with its claws did the latter realized the power inside this blazing fireball.
However, it was too late.
The fireball did the claws, destroying them instantly, and continued to proceed to hit the body, killing the squad captain immediately and leaving behind a few materials as well as a 1 trillion capped damage number on his head.
“Captain.”
Of course, as a player, only he could see it, or else, the soldiers would already have fainted by now.
A couple of soldiers instantly knelt down and begged to spare them while the rest of the three quickly turned around and fled.
Meanwhile, three more soldiers who were searching for the entrance heard the commotion in the entrance hall and started to rush out after hearing the scream but seeing a level-300 on the spot, they didn’t dare to come out.
Ignoring the dropped materials because of the low level, Wil once again folds his hands to the back and continued to walk towards the door.
The two soldiers looked at each other and sighed in relief.
Exiting outside the door, Wil raised his head and take a look at the sky. He could see many dragons in various colors flying around.
A grin appeared on his face. “Well, they sure razed the city to the ground. Now, it’s my turn.”
“Summon, Leon.”
*Roar*
A powerful roar resounded across the city, scaring the hell out of many dragons as it wasn’t a dragon roar but the roar belongs to a beast.
Looking into its eyes, Wil ordered, “Leon, kill every dragon roaming in the sky. Leave none of them alive. Go.”
*Roar* Letting out another powerful roar, Leon flapped its wings and flew into the sky and Wil continued to walk towards the streets in leisure.
Meanwhile, in the skies of Ozreigh, Kyla and the elder dragon were just flapping their wings while having a discussion on their strategy against the Dragon King.
“What about your nephew?” The elder dragon asked her.
“Qelrit? That fatty will help me out? Please…” Kyla doesn’t seem that interested in her suggestion.
“Then, what about the guard…” Before the elder dragon finished her sentence, a powerful roar was heard from the direction of the mansion.
Both of their faces turned serious.
