Weak Nature - Chapter 7
As you listen to this story, I would like to read an excerpt from another. Mainly, because this will explain more about a certain… happening to our favorite little Huma.
As a young boy, Karma… was what you would call an outcast. Like, kicked out of village outcast. The reason for this is because of his strange bloodline power. See, Karma here, much to his namesake, helps him both remember good and bad things that have happened to him, but also will become stronger for when returning those good or bad things to their respective people.
The thing that got him kicked out of his village at the age of 17 however, is a much darker note than what this storytime should allow. Since he himself was of feminine nature and very kind, some… idiots decided that it would be a good idea to try to see what gender he was. No serious damage caused, or so said the guards when they finally arrived, Karma was left with very, very strong bad ties to those people. Left a bit broken, Karma took to meditating to help clear away bad thoughts. Through the process finding more about himself.
His core, as he would like to call it, was found dead center in his chest, behind the top of the sternum. Shaped as a white and black heart, it would pulse just as a normal one would. When he went about his day and got more ties, both good and bad, he also took note that the amount of lights within each side corresponded with how many ties he had. When one was completed, the heart as a whole would grow stronger, and beat oh so slightly faster. Resolving those lights and strengthening that heart allowed his body on a whole to be stronger, with the side effect of making him really androgynous. It was as if the bloodline wanted him to provide the best to both sexes, while being able to return any vengeance.
After a while, and clearing most of the lights out, Karma was one of the strongest in the village. Looking into his heart, there were still three lights, a permanent beacon to him of what happened in the past. Taken to an extreme, Karma wanted blood. Slowly pondering the ways of his heart, one day he walked directly to their homes, cracking their spine. Not one to dally, he got this all done very fast.
What happened, however, with the influx of that power is similar to our dear Fae. With a sudden rush, and a lot more power to work with, the heart took upon itself to reform, causing Karma to collapse. Beaconed by his power, people that had friendly ties with him took it upon themselves to guard him. Not having any bad ties left, made it much simpler. It was implied that they would try to resolve the ties forcibly at this point.
Letting the process take place, his entire vein and artery structure changed, as well as the heart. His normally androgynous appearance became emboldened, making the surrounding people unsure of what gender karma is anymore. The last thing that happened though, was that as Karma slowly woke up from a pain coma, he was able to sense the ties of the people around him, swaying them to his side.
Karma later became the first Huma to have a kingdom beat back nature, enough for the Huma to at least breathe. Passing on only one book, self titled ‘The Inner Qualities’. This has found its way across the Huma lands, but as King Karma passed, so did his kingdom. The reason so many still use this method to find out how to better themselves is tied to just how widespread that book was, so muchjavascript:; so you can find it in most ruins, kept in an important place.
Decided to mix it up for this one, a little more insight into how I figure the power works. A question to those who actually read this though. I am planing on going back and fixing the first couple chapters, (I hope 1-9) to allow a better intro to this world and a bit better flow to the story. I just wanted to hear yalls thoughts on it.
Also, sorry it is a bit shorter. I wanted to keep this chapter being just about the story of Karma.
