Welcome To The Gaming World - Chapter 45
To be broken was one thing, but to be shown a cold visage of death every single time his dosage was increased, was gruelling. Tichaona went through a whirlwind of emotions, one of them being fear. Apart from her superior physique and tendency for violent outbursts, the dark figure could be unnerving in her approach to torture. His body went through various transformations, some that resembled mutations that correlated with radiation poisoning. If it weren’t for his body’s cogent healing mechanism, aided with the solution she administered to him, he would have haplessly deformed into a freak of nature. The dark figure’s cruel methods gradually began to show results. The sample poisons she used on his body were losing their potency against him. He was quickly building up an immunity and thus, began to recover faster. In the haziness of enduring pain, Tichaona could still idly navigate his stat inventory. His mithridatism was peaking at level 3 which was something to celebrate, but under his current circ.u.mstances, it seemed like useless information. He wondered when she would stop subjecting him to this torture and even pleaded at times, but his pleas were ignored. The dark figure made it clear to him that she needed to speed up the process and that despite what he may think of her, it was purely for his best interests. These words pierced his heart and left him defeated. The capitulation made him seek refuge in the memories of his past. The party monger days, summer festivals, s.e.xy girls and drunken nights were things that helped numb the mental anguish. In his memories, he was the king of crowd pleasing and getting under aged youth to lose their morals. However, as he continued to draw from his memories, the unsavoury ones that came from his family’s disparaging remarks about his lifestyle and the glimpses of his friends who died from drug overdose, left him with morbid feelings. Even the silhouette of the dark figure went from being a tall woman with noticeable lumps to a creature that smeared venom onto his body. Tormented by her acrimonious image, in his mind, he began to go insane. The dark figure watched him convulse, wane and talk to himself, but did not intervene. To her, these were all the expected side effects that came with moulding him into a powerful man. She did not give him reprieve and only worsened the poisoning until she believed that he had reached the desired form. After a succession of trials, his body had finally reached the pinnacle of what she wanted. Closing in on level 4, he had several high stats, with strength, agility, mithridatism and intelligence being in peak form. Amazed by his progress, she unrelented on her approach and added more poison to his system. From what he had noticed, the vials that she used to quicken his healing had finished and she had to gather more to administer to him. The first time she did the restocking, she spent an offly long time outside the ship, partly collecting and using the gadgets she carried along with her to make the solution. He was usually incapacitated by her poison and unable to move, but this time, things were different. Tichaona pretended to be gravely affected by her poison which his body had finally built a tolerance towards. On the day she went to restock, he gambled on the fact that his ability’s buff could conceal his location. She had not left with the emerald gem soul stone that acted as her eagle eye and he made sure to add its location on his custom goal. It was being recharged in the garden with mana and due to his gaunt condition, during her nasty poison fixes, the dark figure didn’t see the need to be too careful. He lax in judgment had created an opening for him. As long as Tichaona could get ahold of mana, he could blast his way out of her reach. Thus, as soon as the dark figure went out to gather the components for the solution, he quickly pulled himself together and made his escape. Tichaona’s level 4 strength at 57% made him easily blow up one of the walls with his rudimentary understanding of strengthening and projecting. He admittedly cheated his way into understanding the fundamentals by entering ‘understanding energy manipulation’ into his custom goal. The few tips he got were enough to wip up a decent grasp of the concepts and he air punched his way out of her ship. Considering that she was at level 40 and probably had far superior senses than him, his inductive a.s.sessment of his situation was that she was going to check for the source of the noise. Only having the insignificant advantage of distance, he would only have less than a minute before she would find him. He quickly opted for an unusual method of reaching the mana. A method he called the human jet pack. Jumping out of her ship, he landed on the moist ground covered by mulch and could feel the humid air all around him. With the heightened vision that came from the recommended diet, he could see past the fog and bolted through the woods until he jumped really high up like a pebble ejected from a sling shot. In a matter of moments, he was above the level of the trees and could see the vastness of land and vegetation. The sky was lit by the full moon and gave the experience an all too eerie feel. As he began to lose his moment and fall down, Tichaona glided down and spread his legs and arms across. His palms and the base of his feet began to blow what felt like air blasts akin to a jet. At first it was a mess, getting a fine grasp of it, but he eventually began to fly using this unusual method. The only downside was that his stamina had already been lowered by the effects of her poison which meant that he wouldn’t be able to keep this up for very long. Luckily, as he descended from the sky, he managed to break off the technique and landed a few feet from the mana plant. His landing left a heavy thud that made it seem as if a crater had collided with the earth. Tichaona spared no moment and quickly got ahold of the mana. He plucked it out of the ground and took a bite. As soon as the juices trickled down his throat, the magical feeling of power and the purple miasma, engulfed him. He was excited, but soon enough, the heavy thuds of strides drew nearer. The dark figure moved her large body with incredulous speed and found herself in front of an angry Tichaona. His eyes were consumed with vengence, blood l.u.s.t exuding out of him like an over sprayed deoderant. She simply saw a bit of him before a bright light lit the entire forest. The light was so concentrated that it was blinding. In that split second, Tichaona made his attack. The dark figure activated her strengthening and created a force field barrier in front of her stretched out hand. The s.p.a.ce between her and her hand became distorted. As the violently deployed light shield came into contact with her shield, she began to feel shaken for the first time in a while. Taking the full brunt of his attack, the force pushed her back quite a bit until she burried her feet into the ground. Her legs ploughed the ground and unearthed large amounts of soil as she braced the force of his attack. After 10secs there was a quick explosion that quickly dissipated and what was left was a shocking sight. The ground before Tichaona on the point from which he deployed his attack to where the dark figure was, had disappeared. Like looking into a deep ridge of a mountain, his attack had literally deleted almost close to 100metres of landing below the ground level. The dirt, gra.s.s and trees were all a poof of smoke. What remained was the dark figure, whose stretched out hand was b.l.o.o.d.y. Her right palm looked charred and generally the rest of her hand looked like it was subject to 3rd degree burns as well as evaporated blood. Despite this marred look for her hand, the rest of her body was okay. To his dismay, though his attack did wound her, it wasn’t powerful enough to kill her. He screamed out ‘f.u.c.k!’ as soon as he realised that she was still standing. With her clothes tattered and only slightly grimacing at the pain, she avoided the deep whole created from his attack and walked towards him. Tichaona had half of his mana left and was going to use it to get the h.e.l.l out of there. As he charged, getting ready to sling shot his body. She screamed out, “I will allow you to kill me!” Tichaona heard her say this and then was immediately taken back. She probably wanted to throw him off and he shouted at her, “f.u.c.k off you sick b.i.t.c.h!” “You hate me for what I have been doing to you. Poisoning you and all, to make you strong. That’s why I feel this great blood l.u.s.t in you. You may try to escape or propel yourself with your ability, but you won’t get very far. To save you the trouble, I am offering you the means to sate your grudge with me. Take this blade and kill me.” she said, taking what looked like a dagger from the pocket of her armour. Tichaona was surprised by her offering him a chance to kill her, but was it even possible for him to do so? Level 4 and 40 were miles away from each other and probably p.r.i.c.king her skin was as hard as drilling an indestructable diamond. Upon her confirming that his get away attempt would be futile, he hesitated and then gave her his fully undivided attention. “Why would you allow me to kill you? Isn’t the point of your f.u.c.ken psychotic torture and brutal training all for the sake of killing your evil brother? I mean if you’re already a f.u.c.ken demon, he is probably the devil incarnate. So don’t f.u.c.k with me you evil s.l.u.t!” he said, stuttering as he failed to handle the amount of rage that had enveloped him. “I have been a burden to your existence ever since you met me. You probably feel trapped and insecure because of me. I am not playing any tricks. The blade in hand has been imbued with my strength. It’s enough to pierce of my flesh. Satisfy your grudge against me and use this to get back at me. The one who has been oppressing you.” she said stretching out her hand eith the blade in hand. Tichaona bolted furiously towards her and quickly took the knife from her hand. Her pludged it deep into her kneck and hammered the blade into her thick and hard flesh. The dark figure didn’t resist and simply became weak as she fell to the ground. Tichaona. He made sure the blade completely sliced through her wind pipe and looked at her with enraged eyes. As she died, he felt weird inside. It was part euphoria and an anticlimactic catharsis. He wanted to kill her in manner in which he overpowered her, but instead he got a hand. Her blood which was smeared all over his hands was like acid which burned his fingers. Even in death, she still punishes him. Tichaona walked away and panted beside a tree as he writhed in pain. He glared at her body as if he had triumphed over an evil spirit. As he got his composure, he looked into the sky and began to shed tears of joy. His happiness was soon cut short by the sound of regeneration. The dark figure’s burnt hand completely healed and the blade in her neck was pushed out by the flesh that was repairing itself. In no time, she was standing and she immediately used her poison attack, applying a higher dosage that could cripple even a level 4 mithridatism user like him. Incapacitated once again, he sadly plummeted to the ground and watched her. She then told him, “You see, when you become a higher level being such as myself, you don’t easily die. The immortality that comes with high mithridatism is something you will taste soon. Your ability impressed me considering that you’re a tenth of my current level. I am rather aroused and curious to see what you’d be capable to do to me. With that said, I hope you enjoyed that feeling of ending my life. Killing me, your oppresser, must have been something sensual. Like tickling your fancy. Before I get carried away, I must take you back. In suffering, one will find true strength.” Tichaona reluctantly got himself dragged back to the base for more poisoning and went through adverse torture. For physical training, ch.o.r.es and other duties, she would use her poison as a deterrent, making him oblige her will. Tichaona had finally come to know what it meant to be in fearful subservience of someone.
