What Kind Of Newbie Are You?! They Said That “Summoner” Is A Terrible Job, Yet They Call Her The Last Boss - CH 45
“Right, 1 billion gold, as agreed upon,” Johann said.
She handed over 100 Royal Guards as promised. With three copies of Heavenly Emperor Zelnesia as well, she got 1 billion gold as payment. Although there were various issues, in the end, the summoning stones were sold as originally planned.
“…”
“…”
Both Zecca and Guiltia glared at each other, not even trying to speak.
“Goodness, y’all are acting like children,” Kon said.
“Aren’t I supposed to be telling you that?” Johann said.
Kon was just muttering about how satisfied she was with giving Guiltia a bit of humiliation.
“Zekka-san,” Roland said, “I’m sorry to say this to you, since you’re already in another guild and seem to be having a good time, but do you have any intention of returning to the Swords of the Farthest Reach?”
“He-Hey, Onii-chan?!” Guiltia yelled.
The sudden remark didn’t just surprise Guiltia, but Johann and Kon, as well.
“My little sister is a bit of an idiot and doesn’t understand even her feelings,” Roland said. “But I know her very well. I know she sometimes looks sadly at the screenshots we have from our time playing together.”
“Huh… haaaa!?” Guiltia yelled. “I didn’t even look at those! I erased everything!”
“Roland-san,” Zecca said, “I’ve told you many times before… I have no intention of going back.”
Her voice was firm. It seems this really had been going on for a while. Roland looked disappointed.
“Then, would you at least make up with us?” Roland asked.
“That’s… well,” Zecca said, giving Guiltia a sideways glance like she wasn’t totally on board.
“Well, if Zecca apologizes, I can let her off the hook, I think?” Guilita said.
“Huh? I’ll apologize? For what?” Zecca said.
“You still don’t get it?” Guiltia said.
“Ha?” Zecca said, offended.
“Ah?” Guiltia hissed, angry.
Roland, Johann, and Kon sighed as they saw how the two of them couldn’t make up.
“Goodness’ sake, neither of you are kids,” Roland said. “Let’s get along with each other instead of fighting over something so trivial.”
“What do you mean, trivial?!!” Guilita yelled.
“Guilita’s the one who broke the promise! She’s the one who has to apologize!” Zecca yelled.
“I understand,” Roland said. “My sister is the one to blame,” he continued, lowering his head.
“Hey Onii-chan, don’t apologize on your own!” Guiltia said.
“No, please seriously make up with each other and teach Guiltia how to study like before, Zecca-san,” Roland said. “Otherwise, her grades will be…”
“Is it that bad…?” Zecca asked, gulping.
“Yes, it’s so bad that I hear she can’t even understand what the teachers are saying at all,” Roland said.
“Can I even save her from that?” Zecca asked.
Hearing that from someone like Zecca who boasted an IQ of 100, the emotional damage seemed to be too much for Guiltia to handle.
“UUWWAAAAAAAHHHHH—STOOOOOOOPPPPPP!!”
The teary-eyed Giltia interrupts Roland and Zecca’s conversation.
“Fu-Fuhn!” Guiltia huffed. “Even if you can study well, it’s meaningless if you can’t win at games!”
“That’s not true,” everyone else said at once. 1
“Fubuh…” Guiltia puffed up her cheeks.
Glaring at Zecca with tears in her eyes, Guiltia left with Roland. Then, as Zecca looked away in disbelief, Kon tapped her on the shoulder.
“That was… frustratin’, y’all. I couldn’t believe how that guild master had the nerve to speak ill of Summoners and then show her face in front of our house, asking for summoning stone,” Kon said.”
“Please stop……” Zecca said.
“But now I understand,” Kon said. “That kid has a bad personality and just forgot about us. She’s just stupid, so she didn’t remember us.”
“You just noticed that, huh…?” Zecca said.
“We-Well, it’s all settled down, so how about we meet up with Remma-chan and Donald, okay?” Johann said.
“Tha’s right,” Kon said. “I gone went and caused trouble for those two.”
At Johann’s suggestion, the three return to the central square. It seems that the summoning stones sold quite well despite the combination of a girl in a gorilla costume and a macho clown as clerks, which most players didn’t even want to get close to.
They didn’t sell everything, but they were able to get sales of about 10 billion gold. They were able to grow their capital of 1.9 billion more than 5 times. Considering that the average amount of money a player spends on equipment by level 50 is 100 million gold, it can be said that Kon’s strategy was a success.
Regardless of the guild, the remaining summoning stones will be used as support for new Summoners, and they broke for the day.
Next time, they will aim to strengthen their equipment with transcoders.
T/N: I legitimately have to wonder if Guiltia just has an undiagnosed learning disorder. It doesn’t excuse her behavior but it does mean the system has failed her.
