What My Wife Is A Country Bumpkin - Chapter 10
That night, Youngjae slowly opens his eyes. (Where am I?) He notices he’s in the hospital. (That’s right. The car was out of control and….)
He recalls and he reaches for the oxygen mask that was on his face. He removes it and slowly sits up. A few minutes later, a nurse comes to check on him. “Oh?! You’re awake. Hold on.”
She exit the room to get the doctor to check on him and she also calls his family to let them know he’s woken up.
…
Half an hour later, his parents arrives along with Jaehee and Taehyun. “Youngjae!” His mother go up and hug him. “Thanks goodness.” “Mom…you’re hurting me..”
She loosen her grip. “Sorry.” Youngjae looks at them and said, “wheres minah?” They all look at each other. Jaehee steps in and takes a piece of paper out. He hands it to him.
“She wants me to give you this.” Youngjae takes it and open it to read it.
Letter: Youngjae. If you are reading this, you’re probably awake from your long slumber. I’m sorry. Because of me, you’re hurt again. Let’s cut ties with each other and becomes strangers. That way we won’t get hurt with each other. -Minah
He puts the paper down. “She left again.” He looks away. “I want to be alone.” His mother was about to say something but his father stops her. She sighs.
They all exit out of the room. Youngjae lays back down. He sighs. “Minah. I miss you.”
…
3 years later.
Minah returns Seoul from overseas. She heads to her father’s company for a visit. As she arrives, she was told he’s in an important meeting. She nods and decided to stay in his office to wait for him.
A few minutes later, she got really bored so she went to take a look on the documents that was on his desk. She looks through if there’s any mislead.
Soon the door opens but she didn’t realize her father was back since she’s too focus. He smiles and stands on the doorway. “Ahem” She looks up and see her father in front of her. She quickly stands up. “Father.”
He walks in and takes a seat on the couch. “You’re back already?” “Mm.” He nods. “How’s mother?” “Shes the same.” She nods. “Are…you okay?” She looks at her dad. “Youngjae…he’s getting married.”
She looks away. She forces a smile. “Why would I be? He’s going to marry the one he truly loves. I’m fine.” He walks up to her and lifts her hand up. “Then why are you crossing your fingers? Minah. You” “I’m not going.”
Minah grabs her bag. “There’s things I need to do. See you later dad.” Minah walks out of the door. He sighs. “You silly girl. You’re still in love with him all this time.”
Minah didn’t look where she was going, she ends up in front of Youngjae’s company. “Huh? Why am I” She turns around and head to the coffee shop. She sighs. She notices the line was super long.
“*sigh maybe later.” She turns back her heels. She waits by the crosswalk sign waiting for the signal to be green. She looks down, depressed. (He’s getting married.)
She shakes her head. (No. No. Minah. It’s fine. It’s for the best.)
…
In the other hand, youngjae was in the backseat of the car looking out of the window and sees Minah. “Stop the car.” He gets out of the car and appears across from where she’s standing. (Why does she looks so sad? Is it because I’m getting married?) “Minah.”
Minah then looks around and sees someone familiar. It was youngjae standing across from her. “Youngjae.”
