What?! The Gamemaster And The Top Player Are Dating?! - Chapter 210
“You Lunatic! Slow the heck down! Forget about those two minutes, you might just get us killed within a single minute!” Li Ying sounded angry and terrified at the same time as she shouted at her brother.
“Stop destroying my ears, Yingying!” Tian Xifeng shouted at the girl as she grabbed onto her right ear that had been abused by Li Ying’s scream.
“One minute left,” Liang Feng announced as he clutched tightly onto the car seat in front of him, “Li Ling, come on. You can do it!”
“Don’t worry, brother. We’ll make it!” Li Ling shouted back confidently as he looked at the speed that they were traveling at before turning back to look at the road in front.
Li Ling himself felt that no matter how good of a driver he was, if a sudden truck or a bicycle were to appear in front of their car at this moment, Li Ling would never be able to control the car and he really might get everyone killed just like Li Ying worried..
A few more seconds passed and Liang Feng’s panicked voice could be heard announcing the time again, “Thirty seconds.”
Tiang Xifeng gulped as she looked at the road ahead, “Li Ling Gege, don’t get us killed!”
Li Ling didn’t bother responding to her as he kept his eyes on the road. They turned a corner and could finally see the entrance of the building that was supposed to be the final destination for them.
It wasn’t exactly near them but if Li Ling kept the speed up, they might just be able to make it.
Inside the building, they could see seven figures waiting. It was clear to them who those seven people were.
“Hold on tight.” Li Ling announced as he once again increased the speed. His heart was racing with fear and he couldn’t hear anything over the numbing sound of the air pressure.
“Ten seconds,” Liang Feng announced as he clutched on tighter to the seat in front and kept his eyes on the building.
“We’ll make it!” Li Ling tried to reassure them but nobody in the car felt any relief as they heard him.
“Eight.”
“Seven.”
“Six.”
Zhihao, who saw a familiar car approaching the building immediately ran towards the right and turned on a button that helped lift the shutter of the building’s underground parking.
“Five.”
“Four.”
“Three.”
“Ahhhh!” Li Ling shouted as he headed straight for the parking driveway.
“Two.”
Liang Feng took a sharp breath in as the car entered the building just on time, “One.”
Li Ling immediately stomped on the brakes and the car came to a screeching halt.
Nobody knew who was the first to sigh in relief.
“We made it,” Li Ying muttered and she seemed like she had been holding in her breath due to worry and fear till now.
“Oh lord…” Tian Xifeng immediately opened the door and fell out of the car as she took in a deep breath. She felt as if she had just survived a life-threatening war.
Liang Feng leaned his head back and the cold sweat that had formed on his forehead finally trailed down.
Li Ling felt as if his life had been sucked out of him after that so he banged his head on the steering wheel which caused the car to honk.
“Gege?” It was the worried voice of Zhihao who immediately came running towards them.
Without wasting his time on the other three, Zhihao headed straight for the driver’s seat and opened the door to see Li Ling covered in sweat, breathing heavily.
“Gege, are you alright?” Zhihao gulped as he questioned.
“A-Zhi…” Li Ling breathed out as he turned to look at the man, “I feel like I’m gonna die.”
The situation was a bit funny for Li Ying who understood the deeper meaning behind her brother’s words.
He wasn’t just referring to his exhaustion caused by the car race but he was also referring to the ultimate mission that they would be given in the final level.
“You’re gonna be okay. Come out first. Get some fresh air,” Zhihao reassured and tried to help the man.
Li Ling hooked his arm around Zhihao’s shoulder and Zhihao helped carry him out of the car.
“You know, your legs are perfectly fine, big bro,” Li Ying rolled her eyes as she opened the door of the car and got out to glare at her brother that was acting as if he was suddenly a terminally ill patient.
Li Ling ignored her skillfully as he kept clutching onto Zhihao and Zhihao was also more than happy to help the man even if the man didn’t need any serious help.
Liang Feng who was still sitting inside the car looked down at his phone screen where it displayed that all eleven players had already reached the destination.
He took a few deep breaths in and out as he calmed himself down before getting out of the car.
He cautiously looked at their surroundings and observed the place.
“Li Ling, do you know this building?” Liang Feng immediately questioned with a frown as he turned to look at the man.
Li Ling looked up and around before shaking his head, “I have no idea.”
Zhihao also frowned as he finally noticed the other three people that came together with Li Ling, “How come you all came together?”
The four seemed to be taken back as they heard the question and it was Li Ling who coughed and lied first, “We bumped into each other on the way.”
“Oh…” Zhihao muttered in understanding but suddenly his eyebrows furrowed up as he looked at Tian Xifeng and Li Ying.
“Wait a second…” Zhihao muttered as he squinted at the two, “What are you two doing here?”
Li Ying frowned as she pointed at herself, “Me? I’m a player. Why else would I be here? Do you think I was kind enough to accompany my brother?”
Zhihao’s expressions got even more complicated as he asked in shock, “What’s your player ID?”
Li Ying straightened her back and brushed her clothes before she met the man’s eyes and answered proudly, “Yingli.”
Zhihao almost felt as if his eyes were ready to jump out of his sockets as he heard this, “Yingli?!”
Li Ying nodded with a smirk as she asked, “Who else could I be?”
Zhihao gulped as he shook his head and turned to look at Tian Xifeng, “You…! Xifeng, I thought you didn’t like to play games!”
Tian Xifeng chuckled dryly as she stood up from the ground and walked over to Zhihao’s side, “Gege, I never said that.”
“No, you clearly stated that you hated my gaming addiction,” Zhihao argued.
Tian Xifeng tilted her head as she asked, “Did I? I only remember telling you not to play too much because it’s bad for your health. I never said I dislike or hate games.”
Zhihao’s face seemed to have lost all color due to the shock, “Then what’s your player’s ID?”
Tian Xifeng smiled as she held up two fingers that usually indicated victory but she seemed to have done it just to look cute as she answered, “Richlord.”
Zhihao’s eyes widened even more as he heard the name, “You serious?!”
Tian Xifeng nodded her head and chuckled as she asked in response, “Why would I lie to you?”
Zhihao didn’t say anything but when he thought about it further, he really couldn’t see any reason for her to be lying.
“Then…” Zhihao turned to look at the other guy whom he had never met before, “You are?”
Liang Feng stepped forward towards Zhihao and held out his hand for a handshake as he introduced himself, “I’m Liang Feng. Also knows as T-Rex101.”
Zhihao looked at his hand for a few seconds before shaking it as he greeted the man back, “I’m Zhihao. Also known as-”
“Mastermo,” Liang Feng interjected as he smiled and added, “Everyone knows who you are.”
Zhihao was a bit surprised but he still ended up nodding politely in response.
“Aiyo~ Little lover,” It was the annoying voice of Wang GuiYing who was approaching them with Zhou Xinyi by his side
Everyone turned to face the two people that were walking towards them with a warm smile on their faces.
“Little lover, did you think this was fast and furious or something? You were driving as if your life depended on it,” Wang GuiYing chuckled as he looked at Li Ling and spoke.
Li Ling laughed softly as he straightened his back but kept clutching onto Zhihao as he looked at the man, “Wang GuiYing, This is not just a game anymore. My life really does depend on this.”
“…”
It was silent and awkward for a minute before Wang GuiYing suddenly broke out laughing.
“Little lover, you’re really taking this seriously, aren’t you?” Wang GuiYing commented in between his laughter.
“And you should be taking this seriously too,” Li Ying spoke up as she glared at the man whom she was meeting for the first time.
“Umm… Who- Oh wait… I think I know you!” Wang GuiYing was about to ask Li Ying who she was but he stopped himself as his eyes widened and he guessed, “Yingli?”
