Zhihao shook his head as he chuckled it off and in the next second, he took out his phone from his pocket.

Just as expected, the timer stopped.

It seemed that the system was really monitoring their every move.

Li Ling sighed as he took out his phone and looked at the paused screen. He slowly lifted his head up to look at the next level destination.

“An arcade,” Zhihao muttered as he stood beside Li Ling and looked in front of them.

“Let’s go inside,” Li Ling responded as he stepped forward without any sense of hesitation.

Wang GuiYing sighed as he grabbed onto Zhou Xinyi’s hand and pulled the man along as he followed after the two. Li Ying, Tian Xifeng, and Lian Feng also followed them shortly after..

Inside the arcade, they met up with the other four players that hadn’t bothered to tag around them in the previous level.

“What the hell is on your face?” Li Ying’s face cringed up as she saw a certain person whom she could clearly recognize.

Tian Xifeng tilted her head as she followed Li Ying’s line of sight and looked at the boy that had his whole face covered behind a mask.

She was stunned speechless for a few seconds before she immediately broke out laughing, “You! Pfft- Kid, you trying to look cool or something?”

The boy’s face was completely hidden behind the black mask but he was surely embarrassed to see and hear the reaction of these two girls.

Liang Feng squinted at the boy as he questioned, “Jiangshi?”

The boy slowly nodded his head and confirmed without saying anything more.

This sudden confusion and shock had also managed to attract Zhihao’s attention.

Zhihao immediately frowned as he looked at the masked boy, “You seem familiar.”

“Of course, he does! That’s your-” Tian Xifeng almost blurted out the truth but thankfully Li Ying was there to save the masked boy as she covered Tian Xifeng’s mouth and stopped her from speaking.

Li Ying chuckled awkwardly as she spoke up, “That’s Jiangshi.”

“Ah!” Zhihao exclaimed in understanding as he pointed at the boy and asked, “So he was the first one to get the yellow ticket?

Li Ying bobbed her head up and down, “That’s him.”

Zhihao looked at the man with an indecipherable facial expression and Jiangshi seemed to have suddenly become a bit uncomfortable as he faltered a step back and gulped in worry.

“You seem really familiar…” Zhihao muttered as he slowly walked towards the masked boy, “Have we met before?”

Jiangshi gulped once again as he stepped back and shook his head immediately, denying it completely.

“But I feel like I know you…” Zhihao frowned as he stepped closer towards the boy.

Zhihao leaned in close to the boy’s face and just then, Li Ying suddenly came in between and pulled the boy back before hiding him behind her as she smiled at Zhihao, “Brother Zhi, why does it matter if he’s familiar or not?”

Zhihao’s frown eased up a bit as he saw the girl’s face.

“But what if we know each other?” Zhihao asked.

“If you know each other, you know each other. Is there anything more to it?” Li Ying suddenly laughed as she added, “And in any case, this is my boyfriend so don’t even think about cheating on my brother with him.”

Zhihao’s eyes widened as he heard her and he immediately started panicking as he responded strongly, “I did not say anything about that! Why would you think that? I am definitely not interested in him in that manner! Li Ling Gege is the only one for me!”

“…” Li Ying gulped and her eyes slightly widened in surprise as she heard Zhihao being so open about it.

As soon as Zhihao finished speaking, his ears slowly started turning red as he felt a bit embarrassed and immediately wanted to undo all the shameless things he had just said.

A teasing smile crept up on Li Ying’s face as she clearly noticed the embarrassment evident on Zhihao’s facial expressions.

“Brother Zhihao, it’s good to see that you’re so loyal,” Li Ying snickered as she teased the man, “My brother is a lucky man.”

Li Ling also chuckled as he walked closer and hugged Zhihao from behind. He rested his head on Zhihao’s shoulder as he looked at Li Ying, “Isn’t he the best? You should also get a boyfriend like him, but I’m afraid there’s nobody else in the world who can compare to him.”

Li Ying who was happily laughing at Zhihao and teasing him immediately stopped and her eyes twitched as she saw this annoying sight.

“Do you really have to rub it in my face like that?” Li Ying questioned as she cringed.

Both Li Ling and Zhihao laughed as they saw this reaction.

Li Ying sighed as she shook her head and commented, “Big bro, you’re really a hopeless romantic. A henpecked husband!”

“Is there something wrong with that?” Li Ling asked with a smirk and before the girl could respond, Zhihao responded in her stead.

“There is.”

“Eh?” Li Ling glanced at Zhihao in confusion, “What do you mean, A-Zhi?”

Zhihao frowned as he folded his hands together and looked back at the man as he complained, “Isn’t it me who’s the henpecked husband? The last I checked, I’m the one that goes along with everything you say.”

“Ooo~ So you’re the one that keeps spoiling my brother?” Li Ying grasped onto the new gossip as she successfully diverted the topic from Jiangshi.

Zhihao chuckled as he nodded and shamelessly agreed to it.

Li Ling frowned and looked to be unimpressed as he heard this but he didn’t say anything against it since he also knew that it was somewhat true.

Zhihao had always been a bit too kind and considerate towards Li Ling. Even in the beginning when they hardly knew each other. Even as kids who had just met, it was always the same and this was also one of the reasons why Li Ling fell in love with this man that treated him so differently.

Li Ying giggled and it looked like she wanted to say something more to that but she was forced to close her mouth as soon as she opened it because of the speakers inside the arcade that suddenly came to life.

At first, he guessed it to be some kind of an error during the making of the bot, however, after hearing it over and over again, he was forced to believe that there was probably a deeper meaning behind it.

“Of course, it announces eleven names and says only ten players won,” Li Ying stated as if it were an obvious fact.

“Is it just me who thinks that the calculation makes no sense whatsoever?” Wang GuiYing frowned as he asked no one in particular.

“Actually, the calculation is right,” Li Ying informed with a sigh, “There are only supposed to be ten players that get to the final level and there are eleven of us here. Do you not know what that means?”

Wang GuiYing had certainly never felt dumber than this. He couldn’t understand it at all.

Li Ying clearly saw the confusion and annoyance in the man’s eyes. She sighed as she decided to explain in straightforward words, “One of us isn’t a player.”

Li Ying shrugged her shoulder as she replied, “You should know what I mean. Try using your brain for once and you’ll be able to find the answer.”
