What?! The Gamemaster And The Top Player Are Dating?! - Chapter 228
“Gege,” Zhihao ignored Wang GuiYing and his dumbness as he clutched loosely onto Li Ling and spoke, “Before we continue with our plan, I only have one question for you.”
Li Ling gulped as he noticed the seriousness in Zhihao’s tone and face, “What… Do you want to ask?”
“Did you know that this was going to happen?” Zhihao also gulped as he was a little reluctant and afraid to hear the answer to this question that had been gnawing at the back of his head.
“What do you mean?” Li Ling knew exactly what Zhihao wanted to ask but he still asked this question just to buy himself more time to think up of an answer that would possibly not get him in trouble.
Zhihao knew Li Ling a bit too well so it was only natural that this trick wasn’t going to work on him as he could see right through Li Ling and his tactics, “Li Ling, you know what I mean. Did you guys already know that the system was going to be this dangerous in the end?”
Li Ling gulped as he heard the man calling him by his full name.
Ever since they had started dating officially, Zhihao had always referred to him as ‘Gege’ and never had he called him by his full name like this so when Li Ling suddenly heard this out of nowhere, it was only natural that he felt a shiver go down his spine in fear..
“No…” Li Ling half-lied once again.
He had really not wanted to lie anymore but the fear of losing Zhihao caused him to do it nonetheless.
Zhihao scoffed as he heard this response, “Li Ling, I have you all figured out now. Don’t bother lying.”
Li Ling felt his muscles go tense as he immediately got caught.
He opened his mouth to explain the answer but before the words could roll out of his tongue, they were suddenly attacked with a rain of bullets.
“Ahhh!” Tian Zifeng screamed as she ducked down and saved Kaoru along with her.
Zhihao gritted his teeth as he cursed under his breath and covered Li Ling, shielding him from any bullets that might be headed his way.
Panic struck once again as they got busy trying to decide whether they were going to run, hide or attack back.
Surprisingly enough, Wang GuiYing was the only one who didn’t scream out in fear. His face cringed up as he took the fire extinguisher that was hung on the wall before heading straight for the hunter that was shooting them.
“Die, you bastard!!” Wang GuiYing cried out as he put the fire extinguisher in front of him, unafraid of the bullets that were raining towards him.
The man probably had the blessing of every God out there since he was so lucky that not even one of the bullets managed to scratch his skin.
The hunter was wearing a panda mask which probably obstructed his line of sight and although it was considered as a handicap for the hunter, it was also something that helped Wang GuiYing a lot since this hunter was practically at an unfair disadvantage in close-hand combats.
The hunter shook his head around frantically as he tried to keep up with Wang GuiYing’s spontaneous movements. He was shooting all over the place and although it looked like he was simply trying to shoot Wang GuiYing down, it also looked as if he was just going crazy from the panic.
For the first time, Zhou Xinyi stayed behind and let Wang GuiYing handle this dangerous situation all by himself.
Wang GuiYing lifted the fire-extinguisher and struck it at the hunter’s head.
The hunter was a bit slow and hence, because of the hunter’s late reaction, Wang GuiYing was successful in hitting the hunter’s head.
However, Wang GuiYing didn’t look to be done yet as he raised the fire-extinguisher used as a weapon again and hit the hunter’s head the second time.
The hunter seemed to have lost his footing and fell down but chose to clutch onto his panda mask rather than onto the gun that fell down along with him.
Wang GuiYing gritted his teeth as he kicked the gun away immediately as soon as he saw the open chance.
By the time that the hunter was trying to reach out for the weapon, the weapon was already kicked away towards Zhou Xinyi who picked it up and aimed it at the hunter’s head.
Wang GuiYing took a step back as he waited for the hunter to stand up.
The reason was quite simple and shocking since it was coming from Wang GuiYing.
He did it because he felt that ‘striking a man when he’s down is something only a coward would do.’
Of course, if he were to say this ideology out loud, the rest of the players would probably laugh to their deaths since they would never expect such a thing to roll out of Wang GuiYing’s tongue.
The hunter immediately pushed himself off the ground and seemed to be looking at Wang GuiYing, but it was hard to tell whether he really could see him or not since the panda mask completely hid the hunter’s head.
“Why the hell are you trying to kill us?” Wang GuiYing questioned straightforwardly as he glared at the panda-head.
The hunter took a step back and it seemed that only Wang GuiYing was the one able to tell what the hunter was trying to do.
Wang GuiYing scoffed as he commented rudely, “So you know some martial arts? What’s the use of it when I’m gonna beat you till you die even if you use it or not?”
He sounded confident. A bit too confident and it shocked the others who could only stare at the man with their eyes wide open.
The hunter seemed to be a person who was stingy with words as he didn’t bother replying and instead, spun on his left foot as he tried to kick Wang GuiYing using his right foot.
Wang GuiYing’s pupil’s contracted as he saw this action.
Instead of avoiding the attack of deflecting it, Wang GuiYing used his hand to grab the man’s ankle.
With the intensity of the kick and the proper technique used by the hunter, it should have been near to impossible for Wang GuiYing to grab the hunter’s leg just like that but that was exactly what he did.
Wang GuiYing grabbed the hunter’s leg and pulled it forward, forcing the hunter to do a split in the most awkward way possible.
“Ahh!” The pain forced the hunter to shout out and Wang GuiYing’s eyes immediately widened as he heard the voice.
He let go of the leg and the hunter immediately stepped back cautiously.
“You’re… A girl?!” Wang GuiYing questioned out loud.
“What about it?” The hunter asked back as she didn’t waste time on a useless conversation.
She threw a punch at Wang GuiYing but the man easily avoided it by leaning back.
Wang GuiYing caught the girl’s hand and the girl twisted her wrist out of his hold.
She tried to elbow the man in the abdomen but that try also failed as Wang GuiYing took a hold of her shoulder and squeezed it.
At first, the girl didn’t understand what the man was trying to do but just a second later, she felt an intense sting of pain emitting from her shoulder that was being squeezed by the man.
“Ahh!” She screamed as her legs gave out and she kneeled on the floor.
“It doesn’t matter if you are a girl or not,” Wang GuiYing spoke with the same serious, rude tone.
“Just die already!” The girl gritted out as she tried to struggle out of his hold but Wang GuiYing who had professionally learned Mixed martial arts to pass time was clearly much more skilled and stronger than her.
“Weak points. Do you know how many of them your body has?” Wang GuiYing asked but he didn’t wait for the girl to answer as he added, “One move and it can seriously kill you. Right now, you’re the one at my mercy so it’s better not to say something like that to me.”
“Die! Die! Just die already!” The girl shouted at the top of her voice and Wang GuiYing could only purse his lips together in a thin line as he heard this.
At this moment, Zhihao stood up and approached Zhou Xinyi first as he took the gun from the man’s hand and aimed it at the hunter.
Without any sense of hesitation, he shot the gun once and missed it on purpose just to scare the girl.
The girl immediately shut up and slowly turned her head to look up at Zhihao.
“Next time, I won’t be missing so you better not give me any of your shouting bullsh*t.”
The girl seemed to have been stunned speechless as she heard this threat and Wang GuiYing also looked to be a bit scared as he saw the serious look in Zhihao’s eyes.
This man… Unlike Wang GuiYing, he was not kidding around…
He meant every word he said!
