What?! The Gamemaster And The Top Player Are Dating?! - Chapter 254
If it wasn’t Li Ling, then it was another player.
Oddly enough, Zhihao couldn’t picture anyone else as the gamemaster.
Wang GuiYing and Zhou Xinyi were clearly not the Gamemaster since Zhihao had known them for such a long time.
Tian Xifeng and Li Ying were also not to suspected since Zhihao knew them well enough to know that they would probably not pull something like this.
Kaoru was also another fangirl of the gamemaster and from her talks alone, Zhihao was sure that she wasn’t the gamemaster.
Zhihao didn’t know much about Liang Feng so he couldn’t say anything about that guy but his instincts told him that there was probably a low chance for that man to be the gamemaster.
Jiangshi was a person that Zhihao didn’t trust the most. If there was a list arranged according to Zhihao’s suspicion on who can be the most likely player posing as the gamemaster then Jiangshi would certainly be at the top of that list.
This boy never talked and only nodded. He covered himself up with a cloak and wore a thick mask to hide his face completely as well. He was a rather new player and yet, he still managed to climb all the way up to the leaderboard of T.I.A.D.
He was also the player who had saved the most time in the five competitions and had the biggest headstart over the other players.
It was to be expected that Zhihao suspected such a boy. Li Ying claimed to know the gamemaster and she also claimed that this Jiangshi was her boyfriend, however, Zhihao would be a fool to believe that. Whenever Zhihao tried to talk to Jiangshi, Li Ying always came in between and acted as if she was guarding the boy and protecting him. It was as if they had something to hide…
As if Jiangshi had a secret that Zhihao might discover if he interacted too much with the boy.
Zhihao gulped as his suspicion slowly rose.
There was no doubt about it… If Jiangshi was the gamemaster then everything would make perfect sense and Zhihao wouldn’t have to suspect Li Ling anymore.
If Jiangshi was the gamemaster then Zhihao could sigh in relief.
Zhihao walked forward as he mentally calculated how much time he would have till the traps start being set off.
He had unfortunately only saved about a little more than a minute which would be over before he knew it and this game was going to last for the next one hour.
One hour of cautiously avoiding all the traps… If no player was to beat the gamemaster before then, it would be impossible for all of them to survive that one hour without setting off any traps.
Zhihao sighed as he realized that in just another half a minute, he would fall into a trap, whether he wanted to or not.
Since he already knew his fate, all he could do was stand still and wait for it while the other players cluelessly wandered around.
Li Ling was on his own as he leisurely sat down on the ground and tried to switch his phone back on but even though he had reset it once and it worked normally for a short period of time, he couldn’t do the same again. It was useless no matter how much he tried. This phone was never turning on again.
If one saw him at this moment, he would certainly not look to be worried about the game nor the trap but only Li Ling knew how uneasy he felt right now as he realized that Zhihao would soon figure out the identity of the real gamemaster.
Tian Xifeng and Liang Feng who had certainly gone different ways somehow ended up together as they found each other by coincidence.
At first, the two didn’t look to be too happy about it but they still didn’t bother being too dissatisfied with it as they stuck together and decided to find Li Ling.
“I’m guessing you have no plan either?” Liang Feng questioned as he side-glanced at the woman.
Tian Xifeng didn’t look to be too enthusiastic as she nodded her head with a sigh, “I can’t figure it out.”
Liang Feng nodded his head as he heard this response that was to be expected, “I guess we really can’t find another way around it. ”
“Let’s just hope that Li Ling Gege hides well,” Tian Xifeng commented.
Li Ying who was in another part of the maze sighed as she looked around to see that the path in front of her had been closed off once again. She turned around and retraced her steps before turning and choosing another path instead.
Jiangshi a.k.a., Huang Zhen who was currently being heavily suspected by Zhihao naturally didn’t realize what type of accusations were being placed on him so he nonchalantly walked aimlessly, knowing that there was nothing for him to worry about for the next eight minutes since he had saved a lot of time, unlike the other players.
If he were to find the gamemaster in the next eight minutes then he could almost dance with joy since it would be the luckiest thing ever.
Wang GuiYing who had somehow been separated from Zhou Xinyi had a frown on his face as he dragged his feet while walking aimlessly. He was also one of the unfortunate players who had saved a little more than a minute and would soon have to escape deadly traps thrown at him by the system.
When he thought about their mission deeply, he couldn’t help but find Liang Feng and Kaoru suspicious. One of those two just had to be the gamemaster. Liang Feng was too smart and helpful which made him suspicious while Kaoru always acted as if she was weak while at the same time, she would sometimes show her true colors which made it clear that she wasn’t as weak as she was portrayed to be.
Tian Xifeng also acted suspicious in front of his eyes but he would never expect that girl to be the gamemaster since… he considered her to be a bit dumb.
Zhihao, Zhou Xinyi, and Li Ling would naturally not be the gamemaster according to him since he knew them well and considered them as his friends.
Kaoru who was also walking on her own didn’t suspect anyone since she had no interest in finding who the gamemaster was.
Their mission was to beat the gamemaster but as Kaoru had previously told Zhihao, she had no interest in beating that man whom she looked up to so much.
If anything, she would want to protect him instead.
Somehow, she even had a smile on her face as she realized that one of the other players was the gamemaster. She looked up to the man a lot and it had been a dream of her to meet him so if the system wasn’t lying, it meant that the girl really had already met the gamemaster without even knowing it so of course, she was happy about it.
Meeting him without knowing his identity was good enough for her. In fact, it was the best possible situation.
Zhou Xinyi who was on the complete another side of the maze wandered around helplessly as he tried his best to find BBtrash but unfortunately, he wasn’t able to find the man no matter how hard he tried.
Zhou Xinyi was the player who had the smallest headstart since he didn’t bother saving time when he was clearing the competitions. This meant that the first one who would get to fall into a trap would naturally be him and this seemed to be correct as he steadily walked into a trap in the very next moment without even realizing it.
“Huh?” Zhou Xinyi muttered as he looked around to see that he was completely covered with walls that suddenly rose from the ground and trapped him in this narrow room-like structure that had no ceiling.
[Your one minute and thirteen seconds is now over, Hulk0_0]
The System sounded a bit too enthusiastic as it announced and just as it did, the ground beneath him started to shake.
Zhou Xinyi bent his knees and flung his arms around as he tried to stabilize himself.
A frown was plastered on his face as he looked down at the ground and tried to understand what was happening with it and in the very next second, the answer was as clear as day for him when water suddenly started flowing from somewhere.
“Hmm,” Zhou Xinyi could do nothing as he looked up to see that there was no ceiling above however, it was also impossible for him to climb all the way up since the walls were built so high.
The only thing he could do was wait and let the water slowly fill the room.
At first, he thought that he could use the water to his advantage; When the water fills up the room, he could swim up and escape.
However, he had been too optimistic in thinking that it would be this easy.
