What?! The Gamemaster And The Top Player Are Dating?! - Chapter 289
Chen Jiahao who had not expected any of this was left shocked and horrified as he saw everyone looking at him with accusing eyes.
Li Ling had a small wicked smile on his face as he looked down at the man.
Zhihao who stood beside Li Ling didn’t look to be too pleased as he looked at Chen Jiahao with eyes that could kill.
Chen Jiahao gulped and his first reaction was to obviously deny it.
“It wasn’t me…!”
Li Ling chuckled as he heard such a response that was to be expected.
He had to agree that Chen Jiahao really looked to be pitiful at this moment, however, Li Ling and Zhihao felt no such feelings for the man who had already stabbed them in the back three years ago.
If Li Ling wanted to lose this case, he wouldn’t have come to this court in the first place itself.
Since he was here, it was clear the man had proof to support his statement.
Chen Jiahao might look to be a pitiful man but he was certainly not pitiful and so, Li Ling had no plans on letting the man have it easy.
It was his decision to go against Li Ling and now Li Ling was going to let the man take responsibility over his own decision.
All the evidence that Li Ling had collected against the man was presented one by one to the judge and by the end of it, even Chen Jiahao looked as if he had given up on the hope of getting out of this case.
By the end of the day, Chen Jiahao was rightfully declared as the culprit and a different case was filed on him by Huang Zhi Juan and her husband for trying to sabotage T.I.A.D and for endagering the players.
Court cases were certainly a mess and all of the cases that had piled up over the span of three years looked as if they were going to take a long time to resolve, however, Li Ling worked hard and one by one, he settled them all.
Within just two months, all the cases against Omelas were cleared and their stocks also started rising when Li Ling announced the grand launch of a new game that they were currently working on.
With the huge success of T.I.A.D., the new game was also expected to be a success.
It was called the Crimson Sky. A game that gained more popularity than any other game in the world even before it’s official release.
Even though T.I.A.D. had ended in a mess, people still looked forward to the release of this new Crimson sky which was going to be the predecessor of the great T.I.A.D.
There were a lot of expectations to uphold and with that, there came a lot of pressure as well.
Li Ling who still needed to rest was in no way ready to create another game nor was he in any condition to be stressing himself out anymore than he already did.
Thankfully enough, Li Ling wasn’t the one working on the crimson sky.
He was merely lending his company to a distant friend who wanted to release this game.
Under normal conditions, Li Ling would have never agreed to such a release, however, when he heard his friend’s plan and took a look at the beta version of the game, he couldn’t help but nod his head as he happily agreed.
Li Ling had a good eye and great intuitions. With just a look at the game, he was sure this was going to be the next big hit.
This Crimson Sky was going to get bigger than T.I.A.D. and Li Ling was sure of it.
With all the court cases solved and the company finally back to its peaceful days, Li Ling could finally enjoy his life and take the rest that he had long kept postponing.
Everything was going smoothly, however, there was still one thing that was seriously bugging him and it was naturally related to Zhihao.
Li Ling was finally free from his work and planned to enjoy his life with Zhihao, however, it seemed that Zhihao had somehow turned into a workaholic even after changing his profession.
The great mastermo volunteeringly stepped down from the pro-gamers list and it was certainly the biggest news of the entire year.
His fans were disheartened to first hear of this news since it came out of nowhere for them, especially at a time when they were patiently waiting for the man to return to the gaming world in order to regain his title of the king.
However, later on, it was revealed that although he had changed his main profession, he still planned to continue gaming.
And hence, whenever Zhihao had some free time, he would do a live stream with Li Ling where the two would chat with fans and play games.
This was exactly what Li Ling disliked.
Zhihao hardly ever had any free time and whenever he did, he would play games and live stream.
Li Ling who was desperately seeking some attention from the man hardly ever got any and he was really angry because of this!
Li Ling never knew he would be the one to say this but now that it had come to this, he really wanted to shout it out loud!
He didn’t want to play games!!
He wanted to spend some good romantic quality time with Zhihao not with Mastermo!
Zhihao chuckled as he saw Li Ling frowning as Zhihao got the streaming set up ready.
There were two things that had changed now.
The first was the fact that Zhihao was now no longer camera shy and would openly show his face during livestreams. He still got a lot of thirsty comments, however, the man had now learned how to laugh as he read such comments.
The second thing that had changed was Li Ling and his apartment. The man no longer had an apartment of his own since he had gifted it to his sister and he now lived together with Zhihao.
The reason why they moved in together was because of Li Ling and his persisitance.
Zhihao was always busy and Li Ling hardly got to see the man so he decided to move in with him so that Zhihao would be the one he sees first when he woke up in the morning and also the last person he sees before he goes to sleep at night.
“Can we not do that today?” Li Ling whined and Zhihao ruffled his head before pecking the man’s forehead as he gently turned Li Ling down.
“I miss gaming,” Zhihao spoke as he looked at Li Ling with those pleading eyes that Li Ling was completely weak against.
“This is so unfair…” Li Ling muttered as his frown deepened, “Those eyes should be illegal!”
“Illegal?” Zhihao chuckled as he repeated and asked, “How so?”
“Because they directly attack my heart.”
Zhihao couldn’t help but laugh as he heard this and Li Ling could no longer keep frowning as he saw such a lovely sight of the man laughing so carelessly.
It was definitely not easy to catch Zhihao in such a good mood.
“So handsome~” Li Ling sang with a bright smile on his face and Zhihao opened his mouth to say something to that but the words he wanted to say never came out of his mouth as Li Ling suddenly blocked his mouth with his own.
Zhihao’s mind: ‘In that case, your entire presence should be illegal for my heart…!’
It was hard to find Zhihao in such a good mood and Li Ling felt as if he was a little fox who was never going to let such a chance go!
Hell with that live stream!
Li Ling was going to steal their handsome Mastermo for the day!
Zhihao was a bit surprised but he smiled a little as he responded back to Li Ling’s kiss.
This moment was certainly everything he had ever hoped for.
Li Ling’s fingers played with Zhihao’s hair and for some odd reason, Zhihao seemed to really be liking this small unconscious action the man would always do whenever they kissed.
Zhihao’s hand wrapped around the man’s slender torso and he slowly started taking control over the passionate kiss.
It was Li Ling who had originally initiated it, but in the end, it was also him who ran out of breath first.
Zhihao chuckled as he pulled apart and let the man catch his breath. Without bothering to say anything, he easily picked Li Ling up and threw him on the bed before rejoining their lips in another sensual kiss.
The temperature seemed to be getting hotter by the minute and even with the air conditioner still running, it was of no use to this kind of heat.
No matter how much they kissed each other… No matter how much they touched each other… It was never enough and it would always feel like the first time.
Zhihao leaned closer to Li Ling’s ear and bit it softly before he whispered, “You better not cry this time.”
Li Ling’s whole face was beet red but he still chuckled as he heard this and daringly responded, “You’ll be the one to cry today.”
Zhihao chuckled and his voice seemed to have sent a weird yet pleasant feeling down Li Ling’s body as the man felt Zhihao’s warm breath tickle his ear.
“Impossible,” Zhihao replied.
