When a Bossy CEO Meets Gary Stu - CH 29

Ding ding ding tock tock tock, all the news sites and online tabloids are sending fireworks to Murong Jihua’s terminal screen. It is so vivid and vibrant that he can only say——
“My bad.”
…
As he could feel his consciousness giving out, he throws his phone reflexively onto the fishbowl on the desk.
When he comes back to himself, he realises his hand is uncontrollably opening up his Recycle Bin to drag He Jünle’s surveillance video compilation back out.
——Rather than subjecting himself to more torture from the fantastical faux-urban setting world, he might as well enjoy his time watching the magical adventures of the urban Gary Stu.
Three minutes later, butler Cui, who may somehow turn out to have telepathic abilities to share CEO Murong’s emotions, knocks the office door open.
While he looks like he’s out of the massive trauma from earlier that morning, he is still pretty clearly still mentally exhausted.
Not that he doesn’t believe his own shaoye’s explanation, but…
He does not understand that, if there’s nothing between the two, or rather, animosity, then why does CEO Murong tolerate him again and again?
He is afforded no time to think as Murong Jihua slams on his desk to bring his drifting thoughts back with a clear thump.
Murong Jihua raises his chin at the dead terminal that is bubbling inside the fishbowl, asking, “what’s going on?”
Butler Cui somehow gets it and explains, “… it’s this humble servant’s fault. In the Central Hospital, shady scheming persons have managed to take a candid video of shaoye and uploaded it causing widespread social impacts.”
“Where in the hospital?”
“Only the ones when you were in the parking lot.”
Murong Jihua, with one hand pinching his own brow and one hand knocking on the table.
——”I said! I can’t fucking let him go! Can’t you see? This is how it is, there’s no way to go back together anymore!”
… Was it that awfully suggestive sentence?
Then it really is his bad.
However!
What is a bossy CEO?
An utterly straight male that is a combination of bossiness, rudeness, rashness and wilderness! (TL: Kuhum, that last one should have been ‘wild-ness’ but it was too good an opportunity to miss playing a joke)
When a bossy CEO makes a mistake, naturally——
Murong Jihua’s face turns grim as he asks with a deep voice,
“What do I even pay all of you for; unable to deal with some little rumours flying around?”
The great strategy of ‘shifting the blame.’
Apologies butler Cui, but his character archetype means he has no love.
——The rumbling noise is an electrical jolt attacking butler Cui’s eardrums (TL: Uhh, that’s not how ears work), and he can feel as if a cold little snake has crawled over his entire body.
“Actually… The footage that is still circulating on the web is already the one that has been edited by us.”
“You say this is edited? When all the mass media are still jumping at it like dogs at scraps? Since when has our Murong family become such a laughing stock?”
“Shaoye, not that we didn’t want to have it scrubbed entirely, but circumstances came up and it was out of our power——”
——All the articles and topics, without question,
Are either directly or indirectly implying CEO Murong’s white moonlight to be Princess Elizabeth of Country A.
Which means, there is a power that is at least equally as powerful as the Murong Conglomerate controlling the flow secretly to ‘force’ Princess Elizabeth and Murong Jihua into the maelstrom.
While Murong Jihua is biting his nails with his head throbbing in pain to work out which dalao is trying to jeopardise his great plan for romance, butler Cui gives him the answer directly,
“Princess Elizabeth is the one behind it.”
Regarding Princess Elizabeth——
Country A once had this saying,
“The year is 9102. As part of the modern, educated populace, you may certainly be unaware of the absolutely gorgeous Princess Elizabeth of Country A, you may of course be oblivious of the fact that the Christine Corporation is one of the most ridiculously powerful entities in existence, but (content omitted) you must at least know the world’s male heartthrob, Murong Jihua.”
(Edited excerpt from §0 of ‘When a Bossy CEO Meets Gary Stu’)
Well, the point of the quote is of course on the dreaminess of Murong Jihua, but it also indirectly paints Her Highness Elizabeth——
As a perfect female deuteragonist!
Immediately, Murong Jihua, who has yet to ever lay his eyes on Her Highness’ divine countenance has managed to immediately auto-complete a full-on compilation of clichés –
Beautiful, elegant, expert at all the arts from music to literature to painting; a black lotus of a scheming, conniving woman; there is nothing she wouldn’t do in order to win the male lead (Murong Jihua himself) over…
Until half a minute later, he receives an email from Her Highness Elizabeth.
It’s slightly different from what he imagined.
(TL: Princess Elizabeth is quite bonked in the head and often jarringly sprinkles English directly in the raws between all the Chinese; in order to emphasise that point, I will use Spanish in all such instances; all other indirect instances of language perversion will be in Japanese. I believe this wouldn’t affect your understanding of the plot)
——Hola~ Long time no ver~ My dear señor Mu, usted must also have been troubled by todas las news lately~ Recientemente tengo something creo talk to you about~~~ Nosotros should meet at the Royal Woodlands Hotel three days later then ehehehehe~~ I love you Mu-san!
Just as everyone knows, Murong Jihua’s surname is ‘Mu.’
Murong Jihua’s eyebrows twitch. This kind of comic relief primary school student style of ridiculous vocabulary usage definitely doesn’t look at all like a perfect female deuteragonist.
“…”
“Butler Cui, what is this princess saying.”
“I believe… it should be… an invitation… perhaps.”
