When A Ghoul Falls In Love - Volume 1 Chapter 138
“What?” I take a long stride toward him, grabbing his sleeve as I look back. A woman — who looks exactly like the old librarian — is standing there with a straight face. She stares hard at the book in Killian’s hands.
He puts the book back where it was. “If you stay here for too long, you will become a demon.”
The old librarian opens her mouth wide. A gurgling sound comes out of her hole. Killian grasps my wrist and drags me away.
The old librarian is sitting on her desk. She doesn’t even glance at us when we leave the library.
“There are ghosts who mirror people,” He explains to me, “That one usually mirrors the librarian while feeding on her life energy. That old woman doesn’t have long.”
I take a deep breath. A real f.u.c.k.i.n.g ghost is in the library. Let me just digest that first.
“You are in an awakening state,” Killian continues nonchalantly as we enter a lab. “It’s a perfect time for some creatures to come and steal your magic.”
What the… I widen my eyes. “My magic? Why?”
“You don’t have any protection.” Killian lets out a sigh and sits down on the stool next to the long table. He taps his fingers on a glass bottle of ringworms and formaldehyde. “You really don’t know anything. If you had met someone else other than me, you would have lost your core by now.”
Is he speaking English? What the hell is a core?
“By the way, a core is nothing other than a heart for a human.” He chuckles when he sees my pale face. “It’s not necessarily a heart for other beings since hearts are usually the major weakness for a living being.”
“You are saying that I will lose my blood pumper if someone steals my core.”
It’s neither a question nor a statement. I am being cautious, but my gut tells me that I shouldn’t let down my guards around him.
“Yes, you will lose that.” He smiles at me. “Don’t worry. As long as I am next to you, they won’t even dare to come closer. Aren’t you lucky that I am your friend?”
I don’t know how to answer without sounding awkward. He is still holding my wrist tightly, and I can’t seem to shake him off. I look away and question him jokingly, “Are you someone powerful?”
“You aren’t an idiot.” Killian pulls me closer. “You are worried about something, aren’t you? Is it about the ghost or the story about stealing hearts?”
I furrow my brows. Am I misunderstanding it? “All of this is a little new to me. I am just overloaded with information.”
“You can tell me if you need anything.” Killian raises his chin, looking into my eyes. I find myself falling into a daze as his pupils turn into a vivid shade of forest green. He lifts his hand and brushes his knuckles on my cheek. “What is bothering you, Nell?”
“I am looking for my father.” The words flow out of my mouth smoothly. “He also has moon magic.”
Something flickers in his eyes; but, it vanishes before I can understand what is going on. I want to step away from him, but my body doesn’t obey me.
“What is his name?” His voice is powerful and deep. “Nell Solomon, I am your friend. You can tell me the truth.”
“Zach.” I mumble, “I don’t know his full name. That’s all I know. I am looking for him.”
“Is that so?” He contemplates faintly. “Zach and Zachary sound almost the same to me.”
I have no idea what he is trying to say, but I want to be released. The atmosphere is changing between us. I don’t like the way he is looking at me.
My stomach churns when his frigid lips press on my chin, trailing to my ear. He whispers in my ear, “My companion, I fell for you the moment I saw you. Would you be my queen?”
I clench my teeth. If he wants to hear the answer, why doesn’t he release me? This sick bastard has done something to me for sure. I can’t even move a finger.
“I will make you mine,” He breathes into my ear. “and take you away from here.”
Bile rises to my throat when I realize the meaning of his words. Can someone find me? I try to open my mouth.
“You have an admirable fighting spirit.” He grips my chin. “But you are barely anything right now. What can a little cub do in front of a grown beast? I promise that I will take care of you well if you come with me. I need someone who can read the changes in the moon.”
Bastard! Let go of me!
Killian doesn’t release me. His wet and cold lips slam against mine as he removes my coat. Revolted by his actions, I look for any way of escape.
However, my body won’t move at all. I am standing still like a mannequin.
In the corner of my eyes, I see Evie peeping at us through the window and taking a few pictures. I want to cry and ask for her help, but she runs away before Killian can notice her.
He pries my mouth open and plummets his tongue inside my mouth. His hand is inside my shirt, running on my back. My heart sinks to my stomach when he unhooks my bra.
A metallic taste fills my mouth when I bite his tongue. He doesn’t stop invading my mouth. Instead, he twists my n.i.p.p.l.e painfully as if he wants to tear it away.
Tears soak my cheeks as he explores my body. I want him to stop. It’s better to die than go through something like this.
“Why are you resisting?” He rips away my panties. “I will be gentle since it’s your first time.”
Please, stop!
“I will fill you up with my warm seeds in no time.” He laughs like a maniac as he thrusts his fingers inside my v.a.g.i.n.a. Suddenly, he looks at me scornfully. “You have been with other men.”
