When A Ghoul Falls In Love - Volume 1 Chapter 139
“You are also pregnant.” He is barely audible. “The child also has the moon affinity.”
How can he tell?
“Then, I don’t need to be gentle.” He plummets his fingers deeper into my cave. “We can get rid of this bastard child after I punish you.”
Baek Joon Woo flounces into the lab. He widens his eyes when he sees him. Killian’s fingers are still inside my v.a.g.i.n.a, and his other hand is on my b.r.e.a.s.t. Shreds of my black panties are on the floor.
I don’t know how I am appearing to him, but I don’t want Baek Joon Woo to see me like this.
Killian takes a step away from me, and eyes Baek Joon Woo with a peculiar gaze. He turns his gaze toward me. I see the wave of realisation in his eyes. “You are carrying his child.”
Baek Joon woo takes long strides toward Killian and punches his face. As Killian staggers backwards, I drop on my knees. My legs are unfeeling.
“Nell!” Maisie and others run toward me.
I burst into sobs. The revolting sensation from Killian’s touches douses over my body. I wrap my arms around myself, unable to answer anyone’s questions. Someone puts their jacket on my thighs. I look up and find Oliver standing next to me.
He doesn’t meet my eyes and heads straight toward Killian and Baek Joon Woo who are still fighting.
“Girls, take care of her,” Nick stiffly utters before he dashes toward Killian.
“Nell, it’s fine.” Maisie hugs me. “You are safe now.”
I glance in their direction. Killian might have been able to fight Baek Joon Woo alone, but he is not a match of three boys. I can tell that he isn’t using magic on them. Why is Killian holding himself back?
Oliver and Nick hold Killian while Baek Joon Woo hits his face. I try to stand up and stop Baek Joon Woo. Killian is not a human. I don’t know how Killian would react later. Maybe he isn’t using magic because too many people are here. “Joon Woo, stop!”
Baek Joon Woo pays no heed to me. He pushes Killian on the floor and sits on his chest. His fists continue to land on Killian’s face. I can only see Baek Joon Woo’s back.
“Don’t try to stop him.” Maisie frowns at me. “Killian deserves this.”
“No, Killian is…” I choke on the words. Why can’t I say it? I turn my head toward Killian and notice his bent index finger. He still has a hold on me. “Mai-Maisie…”
My friends don’t understand what I am trying to say. They think that I am scared. My warnings won’t come out of my throat.
Baek Joon Woo grabs Killian’s collar. “Men who force themselves upon women are the lowliest creatures in the world.”
“You…” Killian releases a cynical laugh. “You i.m.p.r.e.g.n.a.t.ed my woman.”
His words sound like a promise to me. I try to go to Baek Joon Woon. A pair of arms hold me back.
Millie shakes her head at me and says, “It’s too late.”
What? Why? I can’t ask her.
“We can’t stop this fight,” She tells me. “But it will be stopped in a while. They can’t fight forever.”
“Nell is not your woman!” Baek Joon Woo barks at him. “She is mine. She will always be mine. Don’t even think about her again.”
I inhale sharply. Baek Joon Woo has never acted violently before. But I understand why he would react like this. If we exchanged our positions, I might have done something worse.
“Everyone, Evie went to the teacher!” Abigail announces loudly. “Let’s leave before they arrive.”
“We can’t let him go after what he did to Nell!” Maisie picks up an empty jar and steps toward Killian. “Samantha, take a picture.”
“Maisie, don’t do that!” I cry out loudly. Killian’s gleaming green eyes are fixed on me. Why hasn’t anyone noticed his eyes? His hatred is a promise for the retaliation that he is going to bring to us.
Why? I want to ask Killian why he is acting like this. He seems like a madman who has nothing to lose. Maisie slams the jar on his head. Killian lowers his head as the blood drips on his clothes. Samantha clicks the pictures quickly.
“Oliver, Nick, hold his arms,” Maisie commands them.
“Maisie, don’t do it!” I scream at her. “It’s enough. Do you want to kill him?”
Maisie bends down in front of Killian. “You like forcing yourself on women?”
“Do you know what’s coming for you, girl?” Killian sneers at her. “No, you won’t, would you? Nell knows it. No matter what, she won’t be able to tell you or stop you. Do you want to hurt me? This is mere child’s play after what I have seen and gone through.”
She shakes her head. “Psychopaths like you deserve to go to hell.”
No, he’s telling the truth. Stop! He will seek revenge. Why can’t I speak? I look at Baek Joon Woo, pleading with him to stop Maisie. He comes to my side and takes me in his arms.
“I am taking her to the clubroom.” He walks away from Killian while carrying me. I raise my head to look at Maisie. She is picking up a shard of glass.
What is she going to do to Killian?
“We don’t have much time!” Abigail shouts. “The teacher is here. We have to leave.”
Maisie drops the shard of glass. “You are lucky.”
We rush out of the lab, dismantling into different directions. Baek Joon Woo takes me straight to the clubroom. He lays me down on the couch.
“Did he…” He trails off, glancing at my thighs. “Evie sent me the photos of him kissing you and told me that you were in the lab with him. I rushed over as soon as I saw the photos.”
“You came in time.” I finally find my voice. “Baek Joon Woo, thank you for coming and saving me.”
Baek Joon Woo doesn’t ask me any more questions. He embraces me, stroking the back of my head, trying to calm my trembling body.
