When You Are Mine - Chapter 341
Jade sniffed the air in her sleep, as her eyes slowly fluttered open. She looked at the alarm clock on the bedside table and she sighed. She felt so tired and she’d love to continue her sleep, but the aroma of food lingering in the air couldn’t let her do that. She could already tell what kind of food was being prepared. Her sense of smell had heightened recently.
She smiled when she remembered what day it was. Alot was happening today. Mrs Walker was being set free today, and she was sure Blake and the entire Walker family had gone to pick her up. And today was also the launching day of her gaming company.
Yes, it was!
She had gone for masters degree a year after her wedding. And Jake had helped set up her gaming company.
It was going to be a hectic, yet happy day, not just for her but for everybody.
She lazily rolled out of bed and made way to the bathroom. Jade had only stepped out of the room when she heard that sunny voice which she loved so much.
“Mommy!” She smiled when she saw her little angel running towards her at full speed with a cupcake in hand.
“Baby, be careful,” She called out but that little bundle of joy was too excited to listen.
“Jewelyn!” And that put a stop to those hurried legs. She turned around to look at her father who was walking towards her with a stern look.
“Daddy, I’m sorry.” She quickly apologized and ran back to her father who was approaching her with a frown settled on his face. She stood in front of him and pulled her daddy smoldering pout with puppy eyes, before opening her arms to him. Jake stared at her and couldn’t help but sigh deflatedly. He couldn’t get angry with her. He didn’t even have the heart for that. He was helpless whenever be saw those sky blue eyes of hers, and her cute little face.
He crouched down and picked her up before staring at his wife who had a beautiful smile on her face. There was this glow about her recently.
“Baby you should be careful. I’ve told you stop running.”
“Daddy, baby is sorry. I’ll listen to you and be a good girl.” She kissed his cheek before flashing him her cute lovey smile. And that crumbled whatever remnant of scolding Jake still had in his heart. Yes, he accepted, he was a dedicated slave to his wife and daughter.
Kissing back her soft cheek, he smiled, “Okay baby, let’s go wish mummy a happy birthday,” he said before walking towards Jade who had been staring at them with from where she stood.
When she saw the cakes in their hands, her smile broadened. She had almost forgotten that today was also her birthday.
“You guys didn’t have to.” She said when they stopped in front of her.
“Of course we had to,” Jake placed a kiss on her cheek while her daughter leaned in and kissed the other side of her cheek.
“Happy birthday love,” Jake wished her with a happy smile.
“Thank you.”
“Happy birthday mommy.” The little girl chirped excitedly.
“Thank you baby.” Jade kissed her back.
“Mommy, quick make a wish.” Little Jewelyn urged her as she stretched the cupcake which had a single candle stick on it, towards her.
“Why don’t you make a wish for mommy?” Jade smiled at her daughter.
“I can?” The girl asked with sparkling eyes.
“Of course.”
“Okay. I wish mummy to give me little brother.” She wished and blew out the candles. Jade was stunned by hear her.
“Ermm…baby–”
“You see even our little girl knows we need a baby already.” Jake said interjecting her, making Jade roll her eyes at him.
“Come on babe, Jewelyn is four already. Don’t you want her to have a brother already?” He asked Jade who surreptitiously glared at him.
“Fine one more baby.” Jade announced making both Father and daughter to chirp excitedly as they high fived.
Jade couldn’t help but shake her head amusedly. She had to admit she also wanted to carry Jake’s child again. The man made child bearing easy, except for the labor. He had dotted on her all throughout her pregnancy and had also been supportive when she pursued her career. Now that she was finally starting up her own company, she didn’t mind having another child with him. A mini Jake most preferably, but he should love her more, because Jewelyn was completely sold out to her dad.
“Come on, go get ready, we’ll be heading out soon.” He told her.
…
After the company launch the, Beau, Peterson and Walker families booked a restaurant to celebrate the multiple blessings in their lives.
Jade was the double celebrant at the table, so she received a lot of congratulations, and gifts from everyone.
Mrs Walker sat down with her granddaughter and Jewelyn sitted on her laps. She couldn’t be more happy. James also brought his family and Mr Walker has been interacting with his grandson who seemed to be interested in legal matters as well.
Mason and Ethan were also there to celebrate with them, they had joined the Walker’s to pick up Vivienne from prison to show their support.
Lair was the last to arrive, and again he had showed up with Emily. No one stressed about him arriving late, his job always kept him preoccupied so they understood.
Him and Emily have been dating for a quite a while now but Lair was yet to pop the question, which everyone found to be annoying.
Jade looked at Emily, “Emily dear, you shouldn’t waste your time with someone like
Lair. He’s probably going to die a bachelor. Please don’t waste your time with him, there are far more better men than him out there.” Jade advised.
“I second that.” Amy quickly added, making Lair to look at them in disbelief.
“I thought you guys were my pals. Bloody traitor!” Lair glared at them.
“You’re 37 dude. 37! Do you want to die a bachelor?” Jade asked.
“Shut up, you pregnant girl and go focus on your baby.” Lair tossed an envelope at her. Everyone’s eye’s widened in surprise as they looked at Jade who also stunned. Jake quickly grabbed the envelope which Lair had tossed at her, and hurriedly opened it.
His eyes popped when he saw the result. He glanced at Jade and then at her currently flat stomach. His reaction alone said it all.
“You sure do know how to make a man happy, Mrs Beau,” he said as he hugged her. Jade couldn’t believe it. She had casually gone to see Lair at the hospital a week ago when she felt sick but she had been to preoccupied with the company launch to go get the result.
Everyone cheered and congratulated them before Lair spoke up again,
“And just so you guys know, Emily said yes.” He announced making everyone glance at Emily who had a shy smile on her face as she waved her ring finger.
“Wow!” They exclaimed excitedly. This was one hell of a day.
“What sort of day is this?” Blake couldn’t help but ask.
“Uncle Blake, it’s world’s happy day!!” Jewelyn chirped while everyone laughed.
