Where Fate Leads - Chapter 1 Little Chen Hui And Mama
“Don’t cry little child, don’t cry,” she whispered, gently touching the little boy’s cheeks. Despite saying those words to her child, she was also crying. Her tears streamed like a waterfall not stopping, who was the baby now?
It was just six months ago when she had given birth to this child. Her parents banished her from the town since she didn’t want to get an abortion, but who would? He was made because she was raped, but the child wasn’t at fault, he didn’t deserve to die without even taking his first breath and seeing the world. She wouldn’t be sleeping in a cave if she had aborted the child, but she neither regretted the child’s birth.
Every time as she looks at the child’s eyes, she would remember the darkness and the horrifying experience of the incident just last year.
It was about time she was to be wed, but before she could abandon her youthful years to marry the tribe leader she decided to go out and have fun as she did before. She can remember as the man walked up behind her he sounded as if he was drunk or had been drugged, even that didn’t conceal his sexy voice. At first, she was curious, but everything escalated quick leaving her in forgotten fear. One second she was picking flowers and the next second, she was being dragged to the forest by the strange man with the mask. Though she was aware of the situation, he apparently was not and did whatever had pleased him to her.
Her screams were like empty glass, no one heard it but her. All she could remember was that long silky hair and those midnight colored eyes. She hated those colors and yet when the baby was born he had looked just like her rapist. She didn’t expect to get pregnant until she started having morning sickness and wasn’t able to eat her favorite dishes like before. She didn’t blame the rapist nor did she blame the baby, instead she blamed herself.
She hopes, now that she had no home that she and her child will soon find the father of the child and he would warmly let her in. Though this was only a fantasy for now. Her main focus now was to find a small place so that she could care for the baby before they traveled to find the father of the child.
“Should I give you a name? Will that stop you from crying, Chen Hui?” those eyes that were full of tears before were now wide and full of light and his frown disappeared turning into laughter. She couldn’t help but smile.
“Let me sing you a lullaby my little Chen Hui, with this melody, our wish to find your father will come true.” as she said this she begins to start singing and the child claps along enjoying the softness of her mother’s voice. Despite being so young, he will never forget the song. Neither will he ever forget his time with his mother on this special day.
