Why 200 - Chapter 7

“Aaaaaaaahhhh!!!!” Arill shouts as he rushes at Derrick. He had already improved far to much for the regular trainees to compete. It has been half a month since he had joined and they had finally allowed him to participate in more than just healing. His previous punishments had also been reduced so far that they may well have been nonexistent. (Sorry I’m not good at portraying literally anything and emotions are the worst)

Even though his training was amongst the best I still felt this indescribable nervousness about letting him participate in a life threatening mission. Over the past four months since his irresponsible completion of a supposed mission. Though he can be serious if need be he generally wasn’t his only real loyalty so far had been captain(nickname). Now though he felt this strange need to always be near Arill at least as much as possible. Because I was their leader I was serious in front of them however when I was alone with Arill I felt as though I could act as I pleased with my naturally lighthearted rambunctious personality. We often laughed with each other and at first I thought we were merely getting along well but now that I look at the relationships developing in this base I may have to rethink that. Without a doubt wanting to hold and protect someone ensuring nothing will harm them are not the feelings so either it has to do with reincarnation or I feel something other than friendship.

Arill’s rapid growth in strength was phenomenal but it also made it unreasonable for me to not send him out unfortunately. However according to his qualifications I should be able to make him a help in the stealing of the “governments” future plans of attack. Specifically the fact that we exist is a problem for them and we are suspicious of attack. Therefore we should find information on this. While we’re there we should also steal any maps we find on either their base locations or the buildings themselves. So far having him on a highly trusted group with me wouldn’t be a bad idea. Because his talent hasn’t been explained he could use the support ability reward. Healing could be seen as a support ability so if we say his is just a support talent then it could explain the variety of things he can do. However having such a wide range of no offensive abilities that boost offense or defense isn’t actually good because rather than appreciated they are generally enslaved or exploited because they don’t have the power to say otherwise. Most schools would immediately tell the “government” so I could tell those in the group to keep it secret because even if those in base won’t do anything those who hear them talking would not only start attacking the base they could learn more about the extremely secretive resistance. If this wasn’t defined as secret to many people would know. After formulating his plan he went to inform Arill if his upcoming mission and selecting the team.

Arill lost this round against Derrick but he already stopped caring his first mission he had to be totally prepared because he hadn’t known what type of mission he would get when he first got one he trained in a lot of things after the first two months of getting used to it. Training in not only stealthing around the base without others notice to setting up harmless traps and evading cars though most are faster he gets out of the way in time to avoid damage.

(I realized by the end of writing this that they do have a specific form of government an oligarchy also my putting quotation marks on cure and government are because I wouldn’t define either as a proper or reasonable form of what is within the quotations. The chapters will be getting shorter because I really don’t know where I’m going with this next chapter is the missions chapter after that is the “captain” and the chapter after that is a time skip and getting back on track.)
