Winter - Chapter 3 Winters Pas

I went inside and ran up to my room. I got the paper out of my pocket and saw his phone number and called him. He answered “hey whats up.”

“Oh, hey” I said all nervous. “Hey I was planing to go to pick you up tomorrow do you want me to?” He said in a strange voice “yeah sure why not” I said worried for him. I Then I heard three familiar voices “uh.. I got to go ill text you when I get there tomorrow peace.” After he hung up my head started to hurt.

“Hey I’m Winter! Wanna be friends?” I said in a kindly voice. “Yeah” four cute boys said with excitement. “I’m Koruo” “Im Kei” “Zane” “Skyler.” After that day we got so close we knew each other very well more than our own family does. We never kept a secret from each other. We loved to sing and play the guitar, we always kept our promises and never broke them because if we broke our promises we were betraying god. We grew up together, we loved each other like family, yeah sometimes we’ll get mad at some points we always loved each other. Until we were in 5th grade, it all came crashing down. One day I was with Koruo walking down town like we always would. I was like the only girl he talk to, so in asn’t so use to seeing him talking to other girls but his mom. When we were walking a girl walked passed past us, then Koruo turned around so quick I think it was the fastest I’ve seen him turn around. He grabbed her hand and said “hey where you heading to?” He said it like he knew her so well. And because i wasn’t use to seeing him talk to other girls so I got jealous. “Koruo? KORUO!!! Long time no see and I was heading to the cafe” she was so pretty. She was prettier than me. I grabbed Koruo by his hand and she saw then said “oh i never you were on a date. I’m sorry. I should get going see yeah around.” After he heard that he slapped my hand out of his and ran after her. “Hey wait up let me go with you” he yelled as he ran after her. Then i saw them walk away slowly, i saw Koruo smile so big i think that’s the biggest smile i ever saw from him. I felt like i wasn’t special to him anymore, that he didn’t love me ,like he use to. I ran back home and ran up to me room, jumped on my bed and started to cry. The next day I went to school, I walked up to Koruo and said “hey Koruo what’s up?” He just turned around and walked away.

He never acted this way towards me, he never ignored me, he never gave me the cold shoulder. Then i walked away. I went to go find Kei, when i saw him i ran to him, I jumped on his back. And like always he’ll laugh and he’ll be with his friends. “Hey what’s up Winter” he said in such a charming voice. “Nothing much than Koruo acting weird.” I said in a mad tone “Koruo acting wierd?” He said all confused. “Yeah, he’s been giving me the cold shoulder and ignoring me.” I said annoyed. Then i looked at him and it seemed like he knew why he was doing it but doesn’t want me to know why. “Bro, can you leave for a while i’ll see you in class” he said like i wasn’t there. “Yeah, sure take your time.” He left, then Kei turned around and said “look Katie did you see Koruo with a talking to a girl?” He acted all strange. “Yeah, when we went down town he ditched me to go with another girl. Why?”

“No reason. Got to go bye.” He also ditched me i felt like i was losing them one by one like as if the girl i saw yesterday brain washed them.

“KATIE, CARTER, DINNER’S READY!!!”
