Chapter 13

Jin-suk, who was admiring the scene he’d created through the square he made with his fingers, praised himself, feeling that no matter how he looked at it, the method he chose to solve the quest was perfect.
The villagers and Ranphral, who were originally so far away from each other, were now gathered in one place.
Jin-suk felt that Ranphral should have been very satisfied with the result.
Ding.
[Quest Completed: Poor Hunchback Ranphral’s Friends….
Difficulty: D
You made perfect ‘friends’ for Ranphral who was lonely because he didn’t have any. Although they are immovable, lifeless friends, they will no longer insult or despise Ranphral.
Ranphral himself courageously accepted the same conditions as his new friends in order to become more acquainted with them.
Give your blessings to Ranphral, who has found new happiness with his new friends.
Reward: 3kg of Silver]
Jin-suk, who had blinked his eyes for a moment after reading the quest window that appeared in front of him, immediately burst into a fit of manic laughter.
If anyone managed to see the sight of Jin-suk rolling on the ground while holding his stomach and laughing, they would immediately think he was crazy.
But Jin-suk was not crazy.
Well, he was crazy, but not that kind of crazy.
After wiping his tears, Jin-suk once again looked at the window that had never moved from in front of his face even when he had been rolling around.
“Haha. So even this can be considered a quest success.”
No matter how he thought about it, this was truly a great game.
He hadn’t expected that what he’d done could actually be considered a successful quest. In fact, he’d been sure that he failed the quest.
Of course, this didn’t mean that Jin-suk didn’t have any interest in completing the quest from the start.
He’d seriously thought about how to make friends for Ranphral and he had done it in his own way.
Right.
This was definitely Jin-suk’s own form of ‘goodwill’.
However, Jin-suk knew that he had other opinions from the general public.
Therefore, while he’d tried his best to complete the objective since it was his first quest in the game, Jin-suk had felt that the game would not be able to understand his intentions.
However, in the end, this window had surprisingly shown him that he completed the quest.
“Kukuku. The guy who made this game is definitely as crazy as I am.”
It was truly delightful.
He really wanted to meet this person and say thank you.
They were like birds of a feather.
Jin-suk felt like he’d be able to talk freely and openly with that person and they would really be able to have fun together.
“The reward is 3kg of silver. How many coins would it take to come up to 3kg?”
Since he didn’t know how many grams of silver were in a silver coin, he didn’t know how many he would get for a 3kg ingot of silver.
“Did it go to my inventory?”
Deciding to look for his reward, Jin-suk touched the window in front of him to get rid of it and opened the storage in his bracelet.
But soon he tilted his head in confusion.
“Not here?”
Inside his inventory was only the silver and bronze coins he’d gotten for selling the meat as well as some leftover meat.
No matter how he looked at it, there was no silver ingot.
Just in case, Jin-suk began scouring his surroundings.
He even checked the corpses, put his head inside an empty oak barrel, and even picked up a wooden dish that fell on the ground.
But there was still no sign of a silver ingot.
“Is it a bug?”
Jin-suk frowned.
He felt like he’d been hit with a bucket of cold water after being excited.
‘Can you even report bugs?’
Jin-suk, who had been searching for his reward, soon gave up. It was just money in a game anyway.
There was no need to think about it anymore. It just felt like swallowing a bitter pill when such an otherwise perfect game revealed such a bug.
Jin-suk, who’d lost his reward to a bug, decided to end his game time here for the day.
In this game, logging out was as easy as just thinking about it.
When he’d first entered the game, he had been confused because he couldn’t find a way to leave.
Jin-suk couldn’t help but smile when thinking about how frustrated he was a few days ago.
It was only when he had strongly desired to log out while closing his eyes that a window saying ‘You cannot log out in the village. Please leave the town or go to your residence before trying again.’ appeared in front of him.
After all the villagers were dead, he tried again, but it seemed that it was impossible to log out within the village.
Jin-suk trudged his way to his cabin.
After climbing out of his bed, Jin-suk removed the access tool from his head.
After learning that the World of Masks didn’t require a game capsule he no longer needed to worry about becoming stiff from sitting in a capsule for too long since he could just change his gaming location to his bed.
Jin-suk went to open the curtains that had been closed and stood in the sunlight, which was a little too strong, before heading to the living room.
Then he got a cup from the sink and filled it with water from the purifier.
As he drank the water, Jin-suk couldn’t help but brood over the first quest that he had done in the game.
Pfft!
This was until he saw an object on the table which caused him to spit out a mouthful of the water he’d been drinking.
After looking at this object with a stiff face, Jin-suk hurried to the front door.
There he inspected the locks which were the average locking mechanisms that one would find in an ordinary home.
A lock below the handle and an auxiliary lock above it. Along with a latch at the top.
Naturally, these were all locked and showed no signs of tampering.
Just in case, Jin-suk tried to push the door open but it didn’t budge.
Then he went to the windows.
But he found that they were also locked securely.
This was also a low floor so the windows were all equipped with security measures.
Although these security windows could easily be torn open, the ones in his house were not bent in any way.
When he could not find any signs of intrusion, Jin-suk decided to give up and returned to take a seat at the table.
Sitting on the table, the object that caused him to do such a sudden inspection was shining brightly.
Suddenly, the words of the ‘Devil’ that he’d met before, resounded in Jin-suk’s mind.
‘If you do well, wealth, power, honor and beauty would be yours.’
“So this is what he meant.”
The reward for the quest in the game had been 3kg of silver, but when he couldn’t find it anywhere in the game he’d figured that it was a bug and so he decided to forget about it.
But now it appeared that it wasn’t a bug.
Jin-suk was looking at three rectangular silver ingots in front of him which were engraved in the middle to show their purity of 99.99% and weight of 1000g.
