World Traveler - Chapter 8
“I wonder if we gonna fight some villain pirates?” Said a recruit while he admired the blue sea.
“Pirates? I say brother, It must be your first time I suppose” Answered another that seems to be a veteran with quite the knowledge.
“Yes, How did you know?” The recruit was surprised.
“Other than the fact that the test didn’t change since the last couple of years, saying the word ‘pirate’ lightly only show how soft of a person you are. Pirates are even worst than monsters, a monster would still be predictable, and if you aren’t able to kill it, you could still run away, but if you were to face with a pirate, you won’t ever know how did you die. Only graduates and Elite Camp members have that kind of power and privilege” Said the Veteran with a deep voice.
Aizen sitting at the side was reminded again with the danger of this world. This was a ‘real’ world, pirates were even worst than monsters in the eyes of those recruits. People like Luffy that spare their enemies only appear in the stories.
It didn’t take much of a time, an Island started to lay across their sight. The island seems to be an artificial one, and the recruits couldn’t help but gasp in amazement and gaze in pride at how resourceful and powerful their faction was.
“This Island was founded personally by Z-sensei, the dangerous vibe that the island gave may bring trepidation and fear in the hearts of the recruits, but the truth is, this place is the most safest one!” Aizen didn’t know when Gion appeared behind him, but through her look, he could deduce how of an overprotective man Zephyr was.
Aizen choose not to answer, as his master eyes seems to ponder her reason of life.
The warships soon approached the dock, and the recruits started preparing to their coming test.
“Aizen chan, take this” Gion who started calling Aizen with a chan suffix, passed him a fine looking katana.
“It’s not some legendary sword, but I can ȧssure you that it won’t lose the great grade.” Said Gion as she saw his strange look.
What Gion didn’t know was that the reason of his strange expression, other than feeling warm, the Katana reminded him of Aizen Sosuke Zanpakuto.
“What’s the name of this sword master?”Asked Aizen with a unfocused expression.
“I got it specially forged for you, so it’s not named yet, You know master is really bad with naming, how about you give it a name?” Asked Gion with an eager expression, she very much wanted to see his joyful expression.
“Kyōka Suigetsu, That would be your name!” Said Aizen, as he could feel that the power of his soul started seeping to recreate a real Zanpakuto,
“As expected of my disciple! your sense of naming is very imposing!” Said Gion with a surprised expression.
Aizen who was using his soul power, already started to ignore ‘truth’, for him such a concept didn’t exist at all. Maybe when he was till mortal, he would never think about such a strange thing. Then again, he no longer care. All he needed to do was to believe in his own ‘truth’, he could create his own ‘reality’ while ignoring and warping any reality that didn’t align with his own interest and deemed it as a mere imagination that can’t exist or even subsist in his own realm.
Sadly, his own Truth still didn’t made it to that level.
The suppression of the world laws stopped it, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t succeed in fortify his sword. From now on, he would be able to generate illusions with his sword at the same level of complete hypnosis along with Ice damage, the only detriment is that the moment he sheath his katana, the illusion and the ice will disappear, so it’s not handy for long-term scheming, but it’s quite practical as no one will discover they were under an hypnosis if they didn’t use their observation Haki.
Seeing his power able to recreate the sword abilities brought a huge smile on his face, while Gion seems to be pleased as she got what she wanted.
She may act cold and haughty, but she really dote upon her one and only disciple.
The recruits soon left the warships, and according to the sheet given to them by some mentors that lived in the island, they started heading towards the the forest.
The mission was about killing monsters and accumulating points, there was no conditions or restrictions as people could team up.
The monsters were divided into 3 Levels.
Firstly : Monsters with 300 Power Level, Level 1, if you are able to kill 5 of it, you pass.
Secondly : Monsters with 600 Power Level, Level 2, Killing one of them in team, you pass.
Thirdly : Monsters that shouldn’t be provoked with 1000 Power Level, Even Elite Camp struggle in teams to kill them. Level 3 – Better avoid.
For Aizen, the first two Levels weren’t a challenge, but he didn’t really kill before, and it seems that this is the real test. a marine with only talent with no backbone can’t survive in this dog eat dog world.
Aizen moved forward inside the forest, his right hand was at his waist never leaving his katana. Every recruit seems to choose one side of the forest, so it didn’t seem like he would meet one of them any soon.
Suddenly Aizen ears perked up, as he could feel a malicious presence approaching him. That wasn’t him using haki, rather, his perception and battle awareness that could only be described as abnormal.
Aizen didn’t bother to look behind him, as he unsheathed his katana, he generated a sharp icy cold aura, and sent a flying slash towards the red dot light that appeared in his line of sight.
Slash, the sound of something being cut resounded in the air, followed by a thud.
Aizen turned his face to look towards the ‘hunter that turned to a prey’ and he was a little appalled by the sight.
In front of him was Level 1 headless tiger. the tiger build was nothing to scoff at, bringing the tiger to the giant tiger level. about three meters tall and eight meters wide. there was still a white mist that kept seeping from the ice damage.
In a place not that far from the forest, inside a building, Z, Garp and Gion along with some staff were watching the clean kill with an amazed eyes.
“What a clean cut, He is already one with the sword at the age of 11! but what is it with the ice, did he eat some kind of devil fruit or something” Zephyr expressed his appreciation while wondering about his fruit power.
“It’s not a devil fruit Z geezer, that’s his sword intent, isn’t that right Gion chan? Hahahahaha!” Garp was very pleased with this seedling, although there were some talented people, but no one could hold a candle in front of the boy.
“That’s correct, Garp chan! I didn’t even thought he would delve this deep in the sword understanding!” Gion was really impressed, even her, wasn’t that lucky to understand an elemental intent, but at the same time, she was very proud of her disciple that didn’t cease to amaze her.
The screen in front them showed them how Aizen hurriedly calmed his mind, and started looking for another prey to hunt.
Aizen was still the modern human he is, as even killing an animal was quite the challenge for him, strangely enough, there was a cold power that kept calming and soothing his mind, that’s why he was fast in recovering his tranquility and calm.
Aizen discovered that killing the tiger boosted his bar by 0.01 strengthened his body in the process. He felt as if he was gaining experience.
He couldn’t help but comment inwardly if the orb wanted to make him some kind of Massacre Bringer.
After that, Aizen gone in full mode hunt, Level 1 – Level 2, nothing took more than one slash with his sword.
His Power Level that was at 600, coupled with his sword art boost, along with the increasing stats every time he killed a monster already brought his bar to 0.93% while the stress of killing seems to vanish as he adapted to killing (monsters).
Aizen who discovered about the great use of killing monsters started getting greedy, and he already put the Level 3 monster in his sight, as he started going deeper inside the forest.
