World’s Mystery - Chapter 87
“you were right like always,”he said showing me a genuine smile.
“i am the killer” he says while at the same time i say
“you are not the killer”.
“What!” everyone screamed through the earpiece. i could feel my ear bleeding.
“Why are you surprised max? I told you yesterday.” I said confused.
“I know…i just didn’t want to left out,” he said and I smiled a little. it was nice to have something ease the tension.
“what do you mean by I am not the killer! i am the killer!” prof stine said staring at me with disbelief.
“prof Stine you might as well give up. you are not the killer and the real killer has lost.”I deadpanned.
“how have I lost? Chris had clearly died” he asked still keeping up with his facade.
“I clicked a button on my ring to turn on speaker mode.
“Hey Chris! how is the school festival?” I asked
“not bad but last year was better,” Chris replied.
“he-i-wha- how?” prof stine asked stumbling with his works.
“because i am smart,” I said
“hey!” Cleo said taking offense.
“because we are smart” i corrected myself.
“and now you are coming with me,” i said.
prof stine charged at me as I was blocking the only exit. i kicked his right kneecap making him lose his balance. i got over him, and quickly tied his hands behind his back using the tie I was wearing.
“mind sending some backup?” I asked.
max was in front of me in a few seconds.
“jack wasn’t kidding when he said you haven’t lost touch,” max said as he helped me detain prof stine.
“you should train with us,” max said.
“Nah, ace’s sneak attacks are enough for me.” that’s only half the truth, I am not the type who enjoys practicing martial arts, I rather only use violence as the last option besides my style of fighting is different from theirs.
while theirs have rules and discipline, mine is more like street fighting, no rules, dirty tricks allowed, weapons allowed, basically, anything goes. It’s a kill or be killed kinda fight.
“what are you going to do to me?” prof stine asked us.
max shrugged looking at me. “we are going to use you as bait to catch the moon obviously,” I said.
