X-Rank Hunter - Chapter 34: Jannes And Jambres (2)
The surroundings of where they fought were tattered. And the Semi-Demons around immediately backed away from the area when the two had taken a warm-up.
But seeing that many Hunters were coming in their direction, they immediately go in there to give them a warm welcome.
On the other hand, seeing his little brother left out the area, the elder brother frowned in displeasure as he was already so bored enough and wanted to take a warm-up as well. So when he couldn’t wait any longer and was about to follow his younger brother to enjoy himself as well, he found his scales on his back and arms wanting to stand up in trepidation.
Instinctively, he gazed up above only to find something was falling at a great speed.
Swoosh! Sabog!
As if another meteor had fallen, another crater came into view.
Many Semi-Demons were implicated from the explosions and died on the spot. Black smoke rose from the ground as two figures slowly came into sight.
One was lying weakly to the ground and the other one was stepping on him, standing high and mighty.
“B-brother…” the one underneath cried out as he raised his hand towards his brother trying to reach for help.
Immediately, the elder brother let out an aura of hostility as heavy pressure weighed down his surroundings.
“Step out your dirty foot from my brother!” Gritting his teeth, the elder brother found his flesh trembling in agitation.
Naturally, he was talking to Sam who was now in a completely different form. White fur enveloped his back and limbs and many black stripes were blended on it. The claws on his hands were sharp as well as the gaze of his eyes.
His eyes really were so much similar to that of a tiger, as if ready to catch his prey at any moment.
A wide grin was surfacing on his lips as he let out a cold sneer, “Why so? It’s not my fault that he was so weak though.”
Immediately, the elder brother vanished from where he was standing only to appear right in front of Sam. A punch was already greeting the other party the moment the elder brother appeared in front of Sam.
The wind was shattered as the punch was about to land!
Sam immediately raised his right arm to block the punch and protect himself, but even after in his current form, he was still sent backward of around 10 meters away.
After the elder brother managed to forcefully put away the human who was stepping on his younger brother in a weakened state, he immediately lifted his brother and brought him near the woman named Vanessa.
“I told you, don’t underestimate the humans.” Just after the elder brother brought his younger brother to Vanessa, the other party immediately lectured both of them.
“Tsk! I know! I know! If we aren’t restricted to come here personally, I have already beaten him to death in a heartbeat!” Gritting his teeth yet again, the elder brother exclaimed in frustration.
“That’s why I’m telling you to not underestimate the humans.” Vanessa repeated nonchalantly. But it seemed that it didn’t bother her that much seeing her teammate beaten up to a pulp.
She then raised her slender hand and a violet leaf lushed with life appeared between her slender thumb and index finger. She put that leaf to the forehead of her weakened teammate and immediately, the other party was healed in a heartbeat as if he was not harmed in the first place.
The younger brother then stood up with great frustration as an aura ready to cause destruction followed suit. He gazed to the one who had beaten him up only to find the other party looking at him as if mocking him for being too incompetent.
The aura of destruction exuding out from him immediately boosted as his gaze landed on his elder brother. “Brother, I can’t take this anymore, let’s join forces!”
“Fine then.” The elder brother knew as well that the other party was fairly strong. With the current strength they could use, he knew as well that they couldn’t defeat the other party in a one-on-one battle!
“Why not the three of you, join forces?” As if he was just woken up in the morning, Sam asked the other party as he stretched his back with a yawn.
The face of two brothers immediately darkened, but the woman just gave him a sweet smile as she spoke flirtatiously, “No, I’m out. You can enjoy yourselves.”
Kutob!
Sam immediately found his heart wanting to jump out from his chest. He even found his face blushing as blood was threatening to fall from his nose. His vertical pupils were shaping into a heart as his breathing hastened in excitement.
But noticing that something was amiss, Sam immediately circulated his World Energy throughout his body and slapped his booth cheeks with his two hands right away.
As if an asteroid collided against each other, a loud collision echoed to the surroundings!
Hunters and Semi-Demons that were brawling around immediately halted their actions as they closed their ears from the loud boom.
“Damn it! That was dangerous!” Sam grumbled in horror. He gazed at the woman before him only to see her smiling at him.
However that moment, Sam noticed the mark on her belly as he trembled in agitation. He turned his gaze to the two brothers and only then he noticed the mark on their chest.
The mark was, of course, no other than the mark of 666!
He narrowed his eyes in great caution as he asked, “You all, you’re one of the ‘666 Knights of Hell’! What do the pureblooded demons doing here?”
Laughing. The two brothers laughed out loud!
“It seems like you’re not a complete fool after all.” The elder brother mocked. After a moment, he narrowed his gaze against the other party in coldness as he continued, “What we are doing here, matters not to you.”
“Yes, you don’t need to know it!” The younger brother immediately supported his big brother.
Sam suppressed his urge to smack the other party to death as he asked with great forbearance, “Then how did you come out from a weaker gate?!”
Sam of course, already knew why they were here. But what he didn’t understand was how did they manage to exit from a lower-level portal.
“That’s a secret.” The elder brother laughed then again. And the same went for the younger brother.
“It’s the power of the ‘Original Sin’!” Just as the two brothers were laughing heartily, a voice sounded in their ears. Not long after, a man appeared with a mist in front of everyone with a sheathed sword resting on his hand. “Am I right? Jannes and Jambres?”
The owner of the voice was of course no other than Jason! He was watching the fight for a long time now but he was wary against the woman named Vanessa so he didn’t interfere in their fight.
And same went for Vanessa, she was wary of the other party and only waited for the other party to reveal himself.
Jannes and Jambres halted their laugh as a wide grin surfaced on their face.
“It seems like you knew us pretty well.”
“How could I not know the ‘weakest’ among the Knights of Hell.” Jason replied nonchalantly as if disgusted against the other party for being the weakest.
“You…” The two brother’s faces immediately darkened. They already knew that they were the current weakest but was there really a need to mention it?
Not caring about the other party’s feelings, Jason’s gaze landed on Vanessa in great wary as he said, “But what does the Queen of Beguilement doing here? Is your bunch became so weak that it needs for the upper echelon to make a move?”
Vanessa smiled in elegance as she said, “Don’t worry, I’m just taking a stroll here. It’s so bored being caged in my palace, don’t you agree?”
Jason smiled as well as he said, “Is that so? You came to the right place. Let me tour you around.”
After which, Jason unsheathed his sword and slashed the space in front of him. The space was then torn open as something like a small world was revealed inside.
Jason then sheathed his sword as he invited, “Do you want to come with me?”
It seemed like he was inviting but it was more likely that he was forcing the other party to come over.
Vanessa scanned the torn space in front of her in great caution as she said, “Why not?”
Knowing that the other party was not lying and was willing to go with him, Jason heaved a sigh of relief and then entered the spatial rift.
Vanessa knew that the spatial rift would only bring both of them to some other place where there was no one around so she agreed with the other party and didn’t hesitate to come over.
She knew full well how large would be the scale of damage if they both clash with each other. That would really implicate all his subordinates from that! And they might be put at a huge disadvantage, especially when she knew the capabilities of what the humans were guarding inside the village.
