X-Rank Hunter - Chapter 89: Fully Healed
“You want me to still summon my Spirits?” Jasper was even doubtful. He just heard that his big brother might be able to do something to his Spirits.
On the other hand, Jim nodded in response. He was thinking if he could also heal a Spirit just like how he healed Sheiyn from before. Jim just recalled that his blood could not only be used to absorb life from others but also, could give life and heal injuries as well. If his guess was correct, then healing the Spirits of his younger brother wasn’t a problem at all.
After all, his ability was related to the power of life. If he could only take the life of others, didn’t it mean that his power was more likely related to death than life?
“Alright.” Jasper agreed. He knew that his big brother could really do something. After all, the other party just received some kind of blessings from one of the Four Greatest Hunter as to what their mother hinted.
And also, even if his big brother couldn’t do anything to his Spirits, his mom was still there, watching them patiently. His mom could definitely heal his Spirits and he would just ask his mom if his big brother failed to do anything well.
With that said, Jasper closed his eyes for a good moment. And when he opened it again, a certain amount of World Energy was unleashed as he said, “All of you, come out!”
Four dimensional gate appeared near Jasper. They were all spherical in shape and were floating in the midair. Their color was green and their size was only enough for a small Spirit to come out. It was a C-rank gate. And it was natural for only a C-rank level of Spirit to come out from it.
Just like how the dungeon works, summoning Spirits needed a gate to connect from the Spirit world. The stronger a gate one could create, the more strength a certain Spirit could have with it when it came out from the gate.
Spirits were already strong the moment they were born. But it was only limited to the Spirit World. When they go outside their Spirit World and heed the call of the one who summoned them, their power would be reduced to how strong the gate of their Summoner could create.
That being said, if a certain Spirit wanted to go outside their world, they would only choose a strong Summoner to contract with as a master, or to those humans who had strong potential and a good future. If they wanted to use more of their power, that was.
After a few moments of waiting, the four Spirits of Jasper finally came out. They all gazed around them before their gazes finally landed on their master.
“Why did you call us?” Except for the innocent-looking Nymph, everyone asked in almost at the same time.
It couldn’t be that their master wanted to fight again right? Just by thinking about it could make them feel a shiver, especially Sylph and Salamander who was still currently injured.
But just by being summoned, they could immediately feel a bad premonition ready to happen at any moment. They could feel bad vibes that they were going to fight again.
And what they felt didn’t betray them and remained loyal until it was finally confirmed when they heard their master saying, “We’re going to have a good fight.”
“A good fight.” The four Spirits repeated those words as they tried their hardest to believe that they heard it wrong. A good fight? Their master must be joking!
Couldn’t stand it any longer, Sylph gathered her might as she asked, “But we are in a miserable state, how can we be of any use to you?”
“What are you talking about? If master wants us to fight then be it!” But before Jasper could even reply, the arrogant Salamander had already spoken up while trying his hardest to show off.
On the other hand, Gnome and Nymph just remained silent. They were patiently waiting for their master’s response. Gnome knew that he could still fight and be of some use since he was healed by Nymph and he’d just recovered some World Energy. But the problem was that the other three were in different states than him. He could tell that their internal injuries were still not healed yet. After all, only several minutes had passed since they’d gotten their injuries.
Seeing the reactions of his summoned Spirits, Jasper could only smile bitterly. He, too, knew why his Spirits were acting like that.
But despite that, Jasper also had an urge to laugh in his heart. Earlier, when he cleared the D-rank dungeon that he found in the forest, Sylph was proudly complaining why did he call her just to handle a bunch of worms. But now that she was summoned to fight a real fight, Sylph was now acting that she didn’t want to be summoned anymore.
“Of course, I know you all were injured and of course we are not going to fight in that state of yours.” Jasper could only inform them that he was not so cruel enough to let his Spirits suffer without a reason.
“Then…” Everyone was expecting something good. Although only Sylph was now speaking and everyone else was just listening.
Instead of answering Sylph, Jasper shifted his gaze to Jim as he muttered, “Kuya…”
Jim of course knew what the other party meant by that gaze of his. So without bothering himself to useless chatter, Jim nodded his head.
The four Spirits also shifted their gazes to Jim as they all guessed what was going on.
“Lil Jim?” Sylph and Gnome were confused. Among all of them only these two, the first and second summoned Spirit of Jasper, recognized this person before them. And they knew full well how trashy the other party really was. Seeing him in front of them, the both of them really were rather confused especially upon realizing that their master was somewhat relying on Jim to do something.
“Who is this brat?” Salamander, the third summoned Spirit of Jasper, asked with a hateful tone of his voice. As if just by seeing Jim was too much of a disgust.
Salamander was already a summoned Spirit of Jasper half a year ago but he only met Jim just now. After all, Jasper was still in the academy when he managed to summon Salamander that time.
Jim on the other hand had already heard the news that his younger brother had already summoned the fire Spirit, Salamander. And he really was speechless seeing the arrogant attitude of this Spirit.
There was even an urge in him to turn the other party into a dry corpse.
Meanwhile, only Nymph stared at Jim with curiosity and innocence and didn’t bear any ill intention just like how the Salamander was acting towards him.
Among all of the Spirits of Jasper, Nymph was the last one he contracted with. And it was just several days ago after he became a C-rank Hunter. Jim liked the attitude of this Spirit, pure and innocent. Even if he was tempted, he swore to himself that he would never turn the other party into a dry corpse even in his wildest thoughts.
Jim looked at all of them for a moment and didn’t say anything in response. After which, he walked closer to Nymph as he raised his right hand and pointed his index finger towards the other party.
Nymph only watched in curiosity seeing that the other party was up to something. She could still tell that the other party bore no harm.
Everyone around, including Chad, Charley, and Laude, watched Jim curiously as well. They also wanted to see what Jim was capable of doing. Even the griffin from the other side watched with the same intention. Only Bantay was watching with reverence and anticipation. He really wanted to brag to the world that he was his master!
Amidst of their intent gazes, they found a drop of blood coming out from the tip of Jim’s finger as it floated a centimeter away from his finger. Its size was just small, probably the same size as a marble.
But what made them widen their eyes in astonishment was the incredible Life Energy blended on the small ball of blood. Charley calculated that this ball of blood didn’t pale in comparison to some of her healing skills. She could only smile from a distance seeing how incredible her son was.
“Not bad.” Laude nodded in response. But what he really wanted to say was, “How is this possible!? Is the blessing he received from The Life is really this great?”
Chad on the other hand could only swallow a mouthful of saliva. How could he not if he could see that despite Jim’s little amount of World Energy, the other party was still able to do such a feat! It was really an incredible sight!
Under their gazes, they then saw the small ball of blood finally floated on Nymph’s forehead. Nymph didn’t dodge the blood and only let it touch her. After all, she could tell as well the incredible amount of World Energy from that blood.
At that moment, Nymph felt that the injuries she got earlier were now healing on their own at a fast rate. She then closed her eyes as she grabbed the chance to savor the good feelings.
Until finally, Nymph opened her eyes once again as she could only remark, “I’m fully healed!”
