X-Rank Hunter - Chapter 91: The Duel Continued
Naturally, Salamander was talking about his master. He was now calling him Lil Boy again.
At first, he was displeased upon knowing that they weren’t allowed to touch the wolf. But now that they were going to teach this brat in front of them a lesson, he was really satisfied. He finally found someone to vent his anger with!
No matter how really capable the other party was, seeing the other party’s World Energy, it couldn’t be that he also had an astonishing fighting prowess right? After all, there was a limit to how could a certain individual could shock anyone!
But Salamander couldn’t be so careless. After suffering from the wolf earlier, he learned that in this world they called Encantadia, there were a lot of cunning individuals needed to be aware of.
If this brat appeared to have some tricks under his sleeve, being defeated by the other party was very much likely to happen. After all, their master wouldn’t just call all the four of them just to handle this brat alone right?
As for now, he just wanted to show off and reclaim his lost honor. He wanted to prove that he was strong enough and wouldn’t disappoint his master anymore.
“All of us will fight together.” But Jasper didn’t allow it as he declared seriously. He wouldn’t be so careless as well just to allow his Spirit to act on his own again.
The joyous Salamander suddenly frowned. Why was their master acting so cautious now? Was this brat they were going to fight was that capable?
But before any of them could speak any more words, Jasper spoke then again, “Kuya let’s begin! I will make the first move!”
Jim only stared at the other party for a moment before he swept his gaze to all Spirits of his younger brother that were now beside his younger brother.
“Sylph!” Jasper yelled out.
“Yes!” Sylph responded as it appeared that she already knew what to do. She raised her little hands to her master as she said,
“Wind’s Blessing!”
A faint green light shrouded the body of Jasper. His hair was swaying with the wind as his hair tried to stand up and dance.
Satisfied, Jasper smiled. He felt that he was now one with the wind and could move as fast and freely as the wind. He looked at his big brother to see what kind of reaction the other party would let out only to see the other party actually staring at the space stupidly. As if the other party didn’t even notice that he already made a move.
Jasper was annoyed. With a blur, he disappeared into the thin air. This time he didn’t move so fast just to disappear but did become invisible for real.
On the other hand, Jim was currently having trouble. Right now, his apes inside him were all making a fuss and were begging to come out and fight. After seeing the one who killed them earlier, the apes wanted to avenge themselves.
They were just like a bunch of dogs. Once they saw their enemy, they would go uncontrollable and even the owner would have a hard time stopping them.
Jim might appear staring at the space stupidly, but in reality, he was suppressing his tamed beasts. He might have full control over his tamed beasts, but he knew as well that he should at least consider their feelings. He was not that kind of villain who didn’t care about feelings after all.
But as Jim was still suppressing them, he heard an incoming danger from behind. Instinctively, Jim bowed his head down as something unseen passed above him together with a crisp sound of the wind. He felt that something would definitely hit him if he didn’t do so.
At that moment, Jim had already realized that his younger brother had finally made a move. He neglected all the fuss made by his tamed beasts and told them to shut up in coldness instead. He was still trying to focus more on the fight when suddenly, another invisible attack approached him.
Though Jim couldn’t see it, he was able to hear it clearly. As long as Jim had this incredible hearing ability, even if the enemy was invisible or even if Jim closed his eyes, he could still fight without having much trouble detecting the enemy attacks.
There was a barrage of attack but Jim dodged them all. Those who were watching were astonished. Although someone like Laude didn’t show it on his face.
Charley on the other hand didn’t hide her joy seeing her son Jim who improved greatly in a short time. The same went for Chad. He couldn’t even hide even a bit of his feelings as his eyes really wanted to bulge out from their sockets.
Chad knew full well the capability of his nephew Jasper. Among his peers, there were only a few who could be compared to him. But now, his nephew appeared that he was being toyed with as his opponent was just evading all of his attacks easily.
Meanwhile, Jasper was shocked as well. He already put his speed to the highest but he was still not able to make a scratch to the other party. Just how great did his big brother’s strength had improved?
But since he realized that he had no way of hitting the other party, he willed for his other Spirits to make a move already as well. Through telepathy, he gave each of them an order.
Dark clouds then started to gather above and then soon after that, rain poured down.
“Heavy Rain!” Nymph floated in the midair and unleashed a skill. Her usual innocent demeanor turned serious and fierce.
Jim on the other hand, felt that the rain was slowing him down as felt that his body was getting heavier and heavier.
Until finally, Jasper’s attack managed to hit Jim on his face, making Jim to be sent backward. But Jim knew that this attack wouldn’t just end in there. So he tried to move away and prepare for another batch of attacks.
But to his shock, he found himself completely stuck. His feet were under the mud. Even stepping back and forward was simply hard for him now.
At that moment, Jim already realized that this was a doing of Gnome, the Earth Spirit!
So without bothering himself on dodging anymore, Jim crossed his arms because he knew that the barrage of attacks of his brother was now ready to land on him at any moment.
With that said, the attack he was waiting for finally arrived. Many thuds and thumps could be heard echoing to the surroundings. Jasper was merciless though. He didn’t stop attacking even after seeing his big brother bleeding.
And as if it wasn’t enough Jasper prepared a stronger attack. The temperature in the surroundings then turned higher. And above Jim, when he turned his gaze above, he saw Salamander flying in there. In front of his mouth was a ball of fire, making the surroundings turned hot.
Jim didn’t even have the leisure to think as the ball of fire became a pillar and descended onto him.
Jim didn’t try to retaliate anymore as he faced the attack head-on. He could still tell that though it would definitely hurt him, it was still not a threat to his life.
Boom!
So then the pillar of fire that landed on Jim finally exploded! Shockwaves frenziedly pushed away the surroundings, making the three who were watching the fight nod in satisfaction.
Jasper really was strong! Chad, Charley, and Laude could only comment about this in their heart. It appeared that Jasper didn’t disappoint them.
But too bad for him. Jasper was currently facing a much stronger opponent. The three could tell that despite the attack made by Jasper, Jim was still fine.
After some time, the smoke formed from the explosion gradually dissipated until it was finally gone. And upon dissipating, the figure of Jim was finally revealed.
Jasper’s figure had slowly appeared as well, making Jasper grit his teeth the moment his figure fully revealed. He could see that all of his attacks had landed on his big brother and he could also see that it did a certain amount of damage.
But the problem was, despite all of his attacks and damage he brought to his big brother, he could see clearly that the other party was healing at a rate visible to the eye.
The burn and wounds were recovering as all the bleeding finally stopped. No injuries could be seen anymore as Jim stood high and mighty.
“Incredible!” Laude remarked inwardly. But his expression was indifferent. As if it wasn’t a big deal at all.
“Impossible!” On the other hand, Chad couldn’t suppress his emotion as a word of disbelief escaped from his mouth. The sight was just inconceivable making it a good reason for justifying his reactions.
Charley however, only smiled. She even forgot that she should be mourning right now about what was going to happen later on. Because when it finally happens, she would not have time to do so.
