- Chapter 19 Holy Woman
Meanwhile, in far, far away land. In the Dfihr Kingdom, there was a summoning ritual going on.
This was the homeland of prince Zaq Firestone, the hero who killed demon king.
After demon king was defeated, hero Zaq was highly praised. He became number one candidate for throne. When everyone thought he was sure becoming the crown prince, a conspiracy stripped the hero from his right. Now the famous hero became infamous prince who has been bewitched by princess demon. Hero was shunned by his own people in his own motherland. Hero Zaq didn’t compromise, choosing his newly wife over the throne. The consequences of course were not only for him.
His main wife was a holy Saintess, the god’s messenger. She’s putting behind her titles when joined in hero’s journey to demon land, and became an ordinary mage. Because she decided following her husband, the ex holy woman got her power sealed. Her eyes and hair became green, the mark of an abandoned elf. With the great mage has been rendered useless, Dfihr needed not to worry of retaliation. After all, everyone knew, Sally Finnanna was the hero’s strongest ally.
It has been six years since hero Zaq, his wives and children vanished from Dfihr. Some people said, he becomes an adventurer. Some people said, he already dead. But some people believed, he’s joining the demon race.
Ever since then, there were miasma leaking here and there. At first, it’s just a little. When people noticed, too many remote places were tainted, full of miasma. It’s not just Dfihr but many neighbor kingdoms too.
“If it doesn’t working, then the world is doomed.”
There’s a big ancient runes on the floor. Shining so brightly, and beautifully. A bunch of mages surrounded the place while chanting endlessly, pouring their last bit mana.
One by one crumbled, exhausted of their power. When hope was diminishing, a thud could be heard. Slowly the bright light was vanished, and there was a young girl inside the runes.
“Heaven don’t abandon us. A holy woman is sent to save the world! Praise for divine beings!” Highpriest’s voice was brimming with happiness.
The new holy woman looked like a human girl, 13 to 15 y.o. She has reddish brown hair, and honey-like eyes.
“Welcome to Dfihr, o’Holy Woman. I’m the highpriest, Afrinc Sugtedifus. Now, you’re in the church headquarter in Granc city. May I know your name, your holiness?”
The little girl stared at him in fear. She said something in strange language.
“Call Citry, quick!” Afrinc said to his assistant.
“Yes, sir!”
Another half hour spent in awkwardness. Afrinc tried to assure the little girl that she’s in the safe place. Unfortunately, his eagerness just made him more and more suspicious.
“You call for me, highpriest Sugtedifus?” a gorgeous woman in milky white one piece dress came.
Afrinc sighed in relief. He briefly told Citry about their situation.
Citry looked at the scared teenagers, now sat near the wall and still in defense mode.
“Hello, I’m Citry. What’s your name?” she smiled gently.
The little girl shocked, suddenly there’s a voice in her head. Somehow she could understand this woman.
“Don’t worry, I use telepathy. You must be confused. I will tell you everything… but now, can I know your name?” (Citry)
“Sara. I am Sara.”
