Yes, It’s Me. Sub Yandere - Chapter 2
Mumbling inside, I passed by the front door of the classroom and opened the familiar back door. Some people turned around and looked at me. Then, they made a fuss and patted the backs and arms of those who did not look behind. Then, they turned their heads and looked at me. When I had gotten everyone’s attention within 10 seconds of entering the classroom, I felt like I had become a professor.
Because of this attention, I couldn’t even use the front door and go in through the back door, but these people did not respect my hard work.
Among the small whispering sounds, the name ‘Yoo Ha-jin’ had poked my heart.
“Ha… Should I sue the writer?”
As Min-woo said, the background of the webtoon was set at our University, so there was no doubt that the character Yoo Ha-jin was made based on my face. Then, make other characters based on other students from our University too! Then, the attention would have been focused on the main characters instead. Unfortunately, I was the only one who had the same face as one of the characters.
As I sat down and put my bag on the desk, seriously contemplating the mess, I felt something wrap around my body. I bowed my head out of wonder, and noticed an arm draped in a black suit.
“Huh?”
While I was still wondering who it was, my body was pulled back and I took a step back without realizing it. The classroom was in a stair-type structure. That is impossible, I thought, then I looked behind me.
“Secretary Kim?”
The classroom, which had been bright so far, had suddenly turned dark. Secretary Kim, who had put his hair back and looked like he was at work. He opened his mouth and made eye contact with me with his empty eyes that had no feelings.
“Stop it. If you do more, your opponent will die.”
What? What did you want me to stop? Secretary Kim pointed forward with a nod. As I turned my head in the direction he pointed, a long glass table shattered, and one of the tables collapsed as if he had lost control of his mind. There were several people around who looked very good and were dressed in luxurious clothes, but they all trembled as if they were afraid.
“What should I do…?”
“Crazy man. Why were you flirting with Yoo Ha-jin…?”
“What? Aren’t you dead?”
I heard small whispers from those around me. When I turned my head to a group of people talking, I made eye contact with a child who looked rich and had a dirty personality. When he made eye contact with me, he quickly turned away as if he was afraid. I had never heard before that I could look frightening.….I turned my head again and tried to force my brain to understand this unfamiliar situation.
“What is this? I was in the classroom until just now.”
What was happening? A person was lying down in the dark, people around him were trembling with fear, and I’m caught by Secretary Kim?
No, that’s not important right now. How did I know that Secretary Kim is the one who caught me?
That’s because I had also paid for it and read the webtoon called [The Circumstances Of The Golden Spooners].
Secretary Kim looked exactly like this.
“Uh? I think this is enough.”
❖ ❖ ❖
I never thought I would read BL webtoons. It was Yoo Ha-jin who led me to BL webtoons, who himself hadn’t even read webtoons. It’s embarrassing to say it myself, but I’ve been praised for my appearance since I was young. It was after being discharged from the military that receiving compliments of being handsome had suddenly changed to “Wow, you look like Yoo Ha-jin.”
So, who was Yoo Ha-jin? I still didn’t know what was going on in the world during my military enlistment, so I didn’t know why everyone was talking about Yoo Ha-jin. At first, I thought he was a celebrity who was not very famous because he was rarely seen in the media, but I didn’t know Yoo Ha-jin was a webtoon character. That too, from an R-rated BL webtoon!
Gradually, my surroundings were eroded by the name Yoo Ha-jin, and I began to be called Yoo Ha-jin more than my own name. At this point, I was slowly becoming curious about Yoo Ha-jin. So I typed his name in the search box.
[Yoo Ha-jin]
Then, the related search words appeared.
[Yoo Ha-jin] [Yoo Ha-jin’s wealth] [Yoo Ha-jin’s body] It was just a sin. When I looked at related search terms, the idea of a crazy man came out of nowhere. I thought he was some kind of trash, so I found his picture. To be exact, it was a painting, not a photograph.
“Isn’t that me?”
Looking at the painting of Yoo Ha-jin, I said the same thing as others. No matter how similar we looked, I wondered if he would look the exact same, but Yoo Ha-jin looked like he was alive in the picture as if someone had traced me. Yes, since a character that looked exactly like me appeared in a webtoon, I had to take a look at it.
I was reluctant to get a 19-year-old ticket pass with the title [The Circumstances Of The Golden Spooners], but my hands were fast to flip through the pages on the screen. When I read the Webtoon, Yoo Ha-jin was a b*stard that far exceeded my expectations to the extent that I could hear myself say ‘Oh f*ck’.
[The Circumstances Of The Golden Spooners] The reason why the webtoon was R rated was because of Yoo Ha-jin. Yoo Ha-jin was the biggest b*stard in the world, harassing the main character Choi Sun-woo, who ignored him. He went wild and tumbled around here and there. I didn’t even know if he would pay the price of his consequences, later or not.
It was a character that was seasoned properly, and the cider fed me a lot, so the content was fun. You know what? If the crazy guy is on our side, he can be considered reliable.
This punk, Yoo Ha-jin, couldn’t stand others’ harassment even if he bullied the main character, Choi Sun-woo. He saved him and bullied him again and again. The author tried to instill in the reader that it was his true love.
“I like love.”
The author described it as love, but it was extremely violent and out of place. Therefore, he must have won the title of an undisputed b*stard in the webtoon world, to the point where it appeared in real world news.
❖ ❖ ❖
I sat in the back seat of a glossy black luxury foreign car and tried to organize this ridiculous situation. No matter how much I thought about it, I couldn’t understand this situation. As soon as I entered the classroom and sat on a chair, I became Yoo Ha-jin, a webtoon character, as if the background suddenly changed. My body didn’t change because I looked the same as him anyway. However, all of my surroundings had changed.
Even if I thought about it, I didn’t know what had happened. On the other hand, was it okay? A thought creeped in. Come to think of it, Yoo Ha-jin was a perfect person that lacked nothing, except for acting like a b*stard. For Yoo Ha-jin, life was already on a solid footing having the title of the only son of the CEO of Eunha Group, one of the largest conglomerates in Korea.
Compared to a life that was unintentionally in the spotlight, versus receiving attention from people because of the overlapping name Yoo Ha-jin, it might be better to be Yoo Ha-jin. Being Yoo Ha-jin comes with a price. The price of being a chaebol.
“You were very patient at the meeting earlier, in front of the CEO.”
Secretary Kim awakened me from my thoughts. Secretary Kim, sitting next to the driver, turned his head and seemed to be looking at the wound on my forehead.
“We’ll go to the hospital.”
“No, let’s go home. It’s not a big deal.”
Secretary Kim looked through the rearview mirror one more time, wondering, and told the driver to go home without saying anymore. It seemed strange to see meek words coming out of my mouth. If it was Yoo Ha-jin in the webtoon, he would have broken something by now.
Looking at the rapidly changing buildings in the city, we entered a neighborhood where I could see houses with high walls. The car stopped in front of the house with a similar high wall. It had a familiar appearance, it was the house where Yoo Ha-jin lived alone.
“Let’s go.”
Secretary Kim walked out of the car, said hello, and took the car back again. Fortunately, when I rummaged through my pocket, I found my house key. Thinking that Yoo Ha-jin lived alone in a large house-like palace that I had only seen on TV, I thought he really was a chaebol.
The inside of the house was exactly as what I saw in the webtoon. Yoo Ha-jin, who became independent while attending college, was living alone in a house, grand enough for a large family to live in. I searched through my pocket again and took out my cell phone. The cell phone set to silent was filled with numerous missed calls and messages. Like his character, Yoo Ha-jin always kept his cell phone silent and contacted people only when he needed it.
“I need to organize the people around me first.”
Yoo Ha-jin, this b*stard was of poor quality, so there were only gangsters or trash hanging around him right now. Therefore, all the people who contacted this cell phone were people who had to be cleaned up. I turned off the power of the phone and threw it into the trash can.
“Yoo Ha-jin, I need some compensation for my life that you twisted.”
I’ll show you how much money a chaebol citizen makes. Oh, a month later. They said the card is suspended now.
My forehead tingled when my mind cleared up to some extent. I looked for a first aid kit to treat my wound, but the size of this house was too large and there was nothing in the drawers I looked through. It was difficult to find a first aid kit in a house that just had the appearance of a model house. I even opened the refrigerator but of course there was no way the first aid kit would be there. There was a moderate amount of food in the refrigerator. Fortunately, there were no mishaps such as ‘Yoo Ha-jin’s refrigerator is full of Evian’ that were posted in the comments of the webtoon.
After a while, I gave up and sat on the sofa. I should have gone earlier when Secretary Kim said he was going to the hospital. I left the house to find a first aid kit, to treat my wound and avoid leaving a scar. There were only cards in my wallet, but I rushed to the pharmacy, in case they suspended the credit card today.
Since it was late in the evening, it was difficult to find a pharmacy that was open even after passing through the residential area and going out to the street. As I walked to some extent, one place was open and brightly lit up.
“Thank God.”
When I opened the door of the pharmacy, a rattling sound rang. There was already a customer inside the pharmacy, so I waited behind them. While responding to the customers, the pharmacist noticed my existence and asked kindly, “What are you looking for?”
“Please give me ointment and a band-aid.”
“Yes, wait a minute.”
Fortunately, the customer who came first had accepted my request to find industrial products, and whether I had to prepare the medicine or not. After a while, the pharmacist took out the medicine and said it’s 6,000 won. As I handed over the card straight away and stood still, I could feel the gaze of the customer standing next to me. I looked over.
“Huh?”
He had a familiar face. He had a presence that seemed to attract attention wherever he went and beautiful features that seemed to be drawn by the artist with great care. His light brown eyes were exactly as described in the webtoon. Is it because of that? Yoo Ha-jin couldn’t erase the thought of wanting to make him cry.
He felt quite different from what I had seen initially in the webtoon. As a character, he was quite attractive and colorful in person. Maybe it was because I had seen his naked body countless times. Maybe it was because he was the one who drove Yoo Ha-jin crazy.
I just fell for his face in a face-to-face situation. Do people fall in love at first sight like this? But that was when I was Yoo Ha-jin. I simply admired his appearance.
“He’s handsome and pretty.”
When I looked closely, his face was slightly contorted. It was true that he recognized me. At my gaze, he turned his head and I kept looking at him curiously because I didn’t think I’d meet him in such a place like this. Then, the pharmacist put out the card again to me with a puzzled face.
“Excuse me, sir? The card isn’t working.”
