You Will Be Mine Someday - Chapter 19 Wish Could Hug You

Anna was occupied with the new assignment for the rest of the day, as she has to make sure to get the first draft ready for the meeting tomorrow with Ciao Chang. It was almost 10 pm when Anna completes her first draft. After closing her Ipad and grabbing all her belongings she heads out to grab her office cab which was waiting at the entrance. It was a long day for Anna and she decides to end it with having instant noddles for the dinner. She doze off to sleep as soon as her back hits the bed.

7 o’clock

Anna wakes up with the loud music from her phone, it was her alarm tone. She quickly grabs her phone which has fallen on the floor last night when she was taking a turn while sleeping and was too lazy to pick it up at that time. As today was an important day so she heads up to the washroom without any delay, comes back in short time and starts selecting the dress for the meeting. It was nothing like she was meeting Ciao for the first time but as a marketing executive of a company it was her responsibility to present herself in a professional way infront of the new client who are investing in their project. After a long struggle she finally gets settle with a white color shirt and cream color knee length A-cut skirt. After wearing the clothes she moves to the dressing table to complete her look with a loose messy bun, winged shape eyeliner along with black mascara, red lipstick and pearl ear studs. She admires her for few seconds infront of the mirror before blowing kiss to herself. She walks out after grabbing all the work related things and wearing cream color wedges. She has carried a cream color coat to wear during the meeting which she placed nicely on her left arm.

Cab driver was already at her door before time and starts the engine the moment Anna comes out of her house locking the door behind. It took her forty five minutes to finally reach the office, she was running late today due to the unexpected heavy traffic.

She hurries inside the office after getting down from the cab and reach her floor after taking the elevator, she was about to enter her cabin when gets distracted by Lily. “He is so handsome, Anna. Wish I could be his girlfriend” Lily keeps starting at the person who was facing the back towards them and was surrounded by all the female and few male staff at the other corner. Anna ignores Lily thinking it’s Ciao which she is talking about and was about to head towards her cabin when hears Ciao’s voice from her behind.

“Hello Anna, how are you? It’s so nice to meet you.”

“Ciao…Hey Hi…I am fine and what about you? When did you land here and where are you staying right now?” Anna handshakes with Ciao while replying him. She hands over all the things to Lily and asks her to take the same in her cabin.

“Yeah I am good. Have landed early morning and residing in Holiday Inn hotel. London is pretty cool place and exiting as well. It’s my first time here.”

“Ohh that’s great. Let me …” Anna stops as Ciao get a phone call.

Ciao excuse himself after picking up the call.

Anna turns back and her eyes lands up on the guy standing in the middle of the crowd. “If Ciao is here then who is he?” She speaks to herself in mind.

She starts walking closer to the crowd, the person was still facing back towards her. Anna freezes as she reach a bit near to him “It’s him, what the hell is he doing here” Anna speaks to herself. She now knows who he is. She can clearly make out his well build body and broad shoulders from back. The person turns his head to left to speak with Mr. Xi and Anna guess gets confirmed. She can feel getting a minor heart attack. She quickly walks in her cabin and sits back on her chair while grabbing the glass of water from the table. “I have tried my best to avoid him after his grandpa’s advice, what the hell am I suppose to do now?” She was about to complete the last sip from the glass when Mr. Xi walks in. She gets up in hurry gulping the water in one shot before wishing him Good Morning.

“Anna, I am not sure if you have been made aware but we have Mr. Xian as well from Xian Group of companies along with Ciao. It seems they decided at the very last moment and thus the information was not passed to us. He will be staying her for the complete month to closely monitor the new project and as you are aware we don’t have many vacant meeting room thus I have decided that you will be sharing the cabin with him as you are working on the same project. I hope you are fine with it. I will inform him the same and will accompany him here in another few minutes, until then clear up some space for him” He walks out of the cabin after finishing and without waiting for Anna’s reply.

“Boss…wait” Anna sits back and holds her head in shock. “What the hell is happening today, Seeing him here in London was enough for me and now I am suppose to share my cabin with him. No..No I can’t do this. It’s dangerous. But what the hell I can do, my boss will never listen to me” She gets up and starts clearing her table half heartily.

Anna finally sits on her chair and lies back to catch a breathe. She was about to close her eyes when hears a small knock on her door and Xian walks in. She stands up after seeing him walking in her cabin all alone. Her heart was asking her to run towards him and hold him in a tight hug but her mind was demanding to stay still and act cool. After few seconds of fight between her mind and heart she choose mind and greets him coldly “Welcome to London Mr. Xian, it’s nice to work with you again. I have cleaned the desk for you, so you can sit here and I will move to the sofa table there” She points towards the sofa which was on the other side of the room.

“Hello Anna, thank you for the warm welcome and don’t bother about me. You can continue on your chair and I will grab the sofa” Xian walks towards Anna to grab her in his arms but halts back when he notice Anna’s hand which she has stretch for the handshake. He handshakes and moves towards the sofa putting a fake smile on face. Deep down in his heart he was crying badly. He wanted to grab her in his arms and kiss her till she come to know how much he has missed her but know can only sit beside her calmly as she has opted to act cool.
