You Will Be Mine Someday - Chapter 8 Falling For You..

“Thank you for the presentation Anna. It’s nice to have you here and I welcome you on behalf of my team. It’s our pleasure to work with you and looking forward for our new journey” Xian speaks up after the presentation with a smirk on his face.

Anna stares at Xian while listening to his words with a cold smile.

Everyone gets up and starts walking towards the exit and Anna tries to club with the crowd and walks out of the meeting room. “Ahhh…”She sits back on her cabin chair and catches a breathe.

She was about to relax when hears a knock on her table. Anna looks up and finds Ciao standing next to her table.

“Miss Anna, Sir needs you in his cabin.”

“Now???…Is it something important…I have to prepare the MOM for the meeting and mail my boss.”

“It will be quick, this way please.” Ciao guides her towards the cabin.

She knocks and enters the cabin.

“Have a seat Miss Anna.” Xian offers Anna to sit on the chair opposite to him and leans a bit forward to start the conversation.

“I liked your proposal but need some amendments to be done. Are you the right person I can discuss those or do I need to call Xi directly?”

“I am here on behalf of Mr. Xi, so you can place the request directly with me. I will check with my boss is needed.” Anna replies in a cold tone avoiding eye contact with him.

“Sure, then I will ask Ciao to help you with the details.”

“Is there any thing else?”

“No that’s it?”

“Then I will mark myself out, thank you for your time.” Anna gets up and walks as fast she can to the cabin exit.

“Ahhhh…why does my heart beats so fast when he is around” She murmurs to herself while walking towards her cabin.

“Hey lady, we meet again” Anna turns back with the sudden voice from her back.

It was Wang who was waiting for her and takes the opportunity to get closer to her.

Anna smiles at him and offers a seat next to her.

Wang was about to speak up when suddenly hears Anna stomach making growling sound.

Anna’s face turns red due to embarrassment.

“Opsss I am sorry, I normally don’t have breakfast.” Anna tries to explain herself.

Wang grabs her hand and heads her out towards the canteen. “Let’s have lunch together”. He didn’t gave any chance for Anna to speak up and quickly walks her out.

They reach the canteen and Wang made her sit down on one of the corner table. “What would you like to eat.” He asks Anna in a low voice.

“Egg sandwich will be fine for me along with coffee”, Anna replies with a smile.

Wang leaves Anna and reach out to the counter to place the order. He stays there for 10 minutes and returns back to the place Anna was sitting along with the order.

He grabs the seat opposite to Anna and places the food on the table.

“Here you go.”

Both were enjoying each others company when Wang phone rang. It was from his grandfather. He clears his throat before answering the call.

“Hello Grandpa…How are you? It’s been long?” Wang greets the old man.

“I am fine…Where are you? I have tried on your office extension and was informed that you left the company an hour back? When are you coming back?” Grandpa starts questioning Wang about his whereabouts.

“I just came outside for a walk, will be there in another half an hour. Anything urgent?”

“Yes, you need to fly tonight to New York for the new assignment. I must have gone by myself but my health is not allowing me to travel. Reach your office and give me a call. I have already sent all the relevant document to your office.”

Wang gets depressed with the sudden request from his grandpa as he wanted to enjoy Anna’s company for a longer time and get along with her. But was not in a position to argue with grandpa as after their parents death, he was the one who took care of him and his brother.

“Sure Grandpa…I will let you know” with this he hangs up the call and turns back to Anna.

“I am sorry Anna…I need to rush back to the office…There is a new project and I need to fly tonight to NY.” Wang tries to explain Anna for the reason of leaving her alone for lunch.

“That’s fine Wang…Work comes first. It was nice meeting you and hope to see you again before I depart back to my place” Anna smiles but deep inside she was feeling sad as he was the first friend she made after coming to Japan.

They both stands up and Wang sudden hugs her, leaving Anna in a shock.

“Will try to come back soon…wait for me” with these words Wang turns back and leaves the canteen.

Anna was standing there still in shock and trying to figure out the meaning of Wang’s words, she tries to come back to her senses and consoles herself saying “He must have felt sad to leave me like this, that’s the reason he hugged me I guess.” She finish her lunch and goes back to her cabin.

She was busy preparing the MOM when receives the email from Alana, who is the one of employee she is working with in the new project. Anna opens the email and it had the invitation for dinner party tonight. It was basically a welcome party for her. Although Anna is not a party animal and very bad at drinking, still accepts the invitation as would be rude to reject the first party with the new team.

6 o’clock.

Alana walks towards Anna’s cabin and reminds her about the dinner party. “I will pick you up at 8 from your hotel” saying this Alana walks out.

Anna quickly grabs all her belongings and walks towards the exit. She requests the driver to drive her back to the hotel.

After reaching the Hotel, she rush for a quick shower and starts selecting the dress for the party. “Not this one…Not this one…This is again formal…And then she come across all the one pieces which were packed by Susan for her dates. She smiles at Susan’s idea and picks up a black long gown for tonight. She quickly sits infront of the mirror and completes her makeup, wraps her hair in a messy bun and put up her matching black stilettos and a pair of earrings.

At 7:45 pm she walks out of her room grabbing her handbag and a overcoat.

Alana was already waiting for her near the entrance. Anna waves at her and walks towards the car. She settles herself in the front seat and adjusts her seat belt.

“Oh my…you are looking gorgeous Anna.” Alana compliments her while starting the car.

Anna blushes and thanks her for the compliment.

They reach the venue and walks inside the hotel where everyone was already present. She was surprised to see Xian and Ciao to be present in the party. She was actually not expecting them.

Everyone starts praising Anna for her looks.

After sometime she walks away near to the window to grab some air as was feeling uneasy inside the hall when suddenly felt air on her bare shoulder.

“You are looking pretty Ms. Anna”, She turns back to see Xian standing very close to her. His lips were very near to her’s when she turns back and her heart starts beating faster. This was the first time her heart was beating so fast and she couldn’t understand the reason and push Xian away.

Xian tumbles few steps back with the sudden push from Anna.

Anna starts apologizing to him after releasing what she has done and excuse herself to go back to the hall.

Once she reaches inside, she quickly scans the room finding Alana and walks towards her in a hurry. She grabs the seat next to Alana and starts getting involved in the conversation.

Alana offers a glass of wine to Anna which she tries to reject but Alana forces her to hold it. Everyone cheers and starts drinking. Anna was not left with an option and starts drinking wine. She promise herself to end it with one glass but gets carried away until was completely drank.

11 o’clock

Everyone bids goodbye and starts walking outside. Anna tries to get up from the sofa but losses her balance and was about to fall down when suddenly felt a hand wrapped around her waist. She raises her head and rubs her eyes to see the person who helped her and screams “Xian…*hiccup Boss *hiccup…Sorry *hiccup…Xian…*hiccup…Ahhh…my head is hurting and leans on his shoulder and pass outs.

Xian was watching her the complete evening when she walked in after throwing him away. He could make out she is a bad drinker but still watched her silently. When everyone started to leave he approached her and held her when she was about to fall.

“Ciao, get me a VIP room quickly”, Xian orders while picking up Anna in his arms.

He walks to the VIP room booked by Ciao and makes Anna lie down on the bed.
