You Will Forever Be My Always - Chapter 28 (Aia's P.O.V)
It was morning and the sun was shining bright through the curtains. I got out of bed and went to to get ready to go back to the hospital for Riku. I went into Riku’s room and got some clothes for him. I drove back to the hospital and went to go see Riku, but when I got to his room I saw him talking with Sun Hee. He looked so happy while I felt sad and useless. Maybe he doesn’t want to get married after all. Maybe he’s only agreeing to the marriage because of his father. I quietly walked away and handed the head nurse the bag of clothes I brought for him as well as his car keys.
“Can you give these to Riku Takahashi ?” I asked.
“Sure thing dear.” She smiled and took the bag and the keys from my hands.
“Thank you.” I smiled back.
“You’re welcome.” The nurse said and walked towards his room.
I watched her walk away from the desk and that’s when I went out the door. I took a deep breathe and walked to T.J Entertainment. I wanted to tell Mr. Takahashi to call off the wedding and I’ll make sure that my father keeps his side of the deal. It was a long walk, but I made it in one piece. I went inside the building and my phone started ringing. I looked at the caller ID and it was Riku.
“Hello.” I said.
“Aia, where are you?” He asked.
“T.J Entertainment.” I answered.
“Why?” He asked.
“I….I came here to tell your father to call off the wedding.” I sighed.
“What? Why?” He asked.
“Everything just feels so different. It feels like we don’t have a connection anymore. First you were so kind and affectionate towards me and before I knew it, you were flying all the way to New Zealand with Sun Hee and your guys faces were all over the news and the media and you clearly look happier with her by your bedside.” I explained.
“….Aia..I’m sorry.” He said.
“It’s fine. I gotta go.” I said and hung up before he could say anything else.
“Hi I’m Aia Suzuki, and I made an appointment to talk to Mr. Takahashi.” I said walking up to the woman at the front desk.
“Yes of course.” She said checking her computer. I stood there waiting and looking around the place. I’ve never actually been inside of T.J Entertainment before and it was pretty nice. The whole place was big and everything was clean and the plants and furinature were very nice touches.
“Miss Aia, you may go in to see Mr. Takahashi now. He’s on the 17th floor.” She said getting my attention.
“Thank you.” I smiled and walked to the elevator. I pressed the 17th level button and the doors closed. It was a nice elevator especially when everything was in good shape. I stood in there for at least three minutes until the doors opened. I walked out of the elevator and headed towards his office and knocked on the door.
“Come in.” Mr. Takahashi said. I opened the door and closed it.
“Good morning Mr. Takahashi.” I said.
“Good morning Aia, please take a seat.” He said hand motioning to a chair in front of his desk and took a seat.
“Mr. Takahashi, I came here today to tell you that I want to call off the wedding between Riku and I.” I said sitting up straight.
“Why is that?” He asked.
“Your son is a wonderful person, but I know that he has feelings of his own too and I cannot simply ignore the fact he has to be apart of a marriage he may not be happy with. I feel like it is the right thing to do. I want to call off the wedding and I will have my father keep up his side of your guys business deal.” I explained.
“Okay Aia, it seems that you already made your choice and I can’t force you to do it or anything, so I respect your desicion and I will call off the wedding.” He said.
“You’re welcome and Aia, you don’t need to tell your father to hold his end of the deal. We officially sealed the deal last night.” Mr. Takahashi said.
I smiled at him and left his office and went down to the lobby. I smiled at the woman from the front desk and left the building. I know that summer is almost over and I have decided to apply for colleges and I know it might be a bit too late but I’ll still try to apply either way. I walked to ShinHigh and met up Himari.
“Hey Himari, you got a minute?” I asked her.
“Yeah, what’s up?” She asked.
“I was thinking about going to college in America.” I said.
“That’s a huge step Aia, are you sure you wanna do that?” She asked.
“Yeah I’m sure.” I said.
“Okay then, I can call some friends I have over there and they will be taking good care of you and be sending your novels to me to get publish at Jinx.” Himari explained.
“Thank you.” I smiled and hugged her.
“What are you waiting for! Go apply for colleges silly!” She laughed at me.
“Oh yeah, Himari when is my book signing?” I asked.
“Tomorrow.” She said.
“Thank you.” I smiled.
“Also Aia! Director Harada Takeuchi from Nakamura Studios wants to meet with you.” Himari said.
“Why?” I asked.
“He wants to cast you in his new drama! And he understands that you’re just a writer, but he wants to see if you can act and if so then he will cast you as the female lead.” She said excitedly.
“That’s awesome! Thank you so much Himari!” I smiled and hugged her.
“Anything for you.” She smiled.
I went to my office and started applying for colleges in America. I mostly stuck to the colleges in California and applied to at least two or three and I was kinda excited for college. I was done applying and felt good about myself. I back down to the lobby and saw Riku and I could see that he brought Sun Hee with him. I slowly walked back into the elevator and went back up to my office. I can’t believe he would bring her here. I know I can’t stop him from doing that, but I can avoid seeing him and her together. I do love him very much, but he looks happier with her. I went into my office and locked the door with the lights off and layed my head down for the rest of the day.
