You Won’t Understand Me - Chapter 97
Xiao Zeng’s eyes opened to the fading darkness of the early morning. The curtains blocked the transparent door to their balcony, moving softly with the air from the AC.
He shuddered at the cool breeze and the feel of the cold body pressed against the skin of his back, cold arms circling his waist. Wang Yul’s warm breath fanned against the back of his neck.
Though his alarm was off because of Sunday, his body clock still managed to wake him up at the same time as usual.
Zeng sighed. He turned around and placed a kiss on Yul’s jaw. “Good morning,” he said to the sleeping man.
He wriggled out of Yul’s hold when Yul hooked an arm around his abdomen and with his superhuman strength, brought Zeng back to bed.
Don’t go. He mumbled as he pressed his body against Zeng, lying on top of him.
“Move, you are heavy.”
Yul only snuggled. “Yul, let me go.”
“It’s a holiday today.” The sleepy grumbled.
“But I still have a lot to do,” Zeng sighed, “Move aside, you are crushing me.”
Yul shifted but only a bit so as to not flatten out his boyfriend.
“Just some time more. Stay.” He said and went back to sleep.
Zeng gave in. He didn’t have any other option. Now that he was awake and trapped, he could only stay there without a word as the other slept.
And what more interesting thing to do early in the morning than check your boyfriend out.
Zeng admired his face while Yul slept. The man was like fine wine. He was handsome and his handsomeness only increased as he aged. His face was of someone for an action movie, ruggedly handsome with a few small scars on his temple and jaw, another smaller one on the side of his nose.
Several pieces of evidence of their passionate night were visible from his neck, going doing to his broad chest. However, the painful reminders in the name of scars were also present. Remnants of marks caused by penetrating bullets and other harsh weapons were still present.
Zeng traced his hand over them. They were many, big and small. Zeng didn’t mind them. Other than being a reminder of what Yul had gone through, they had now become a part of him.
He hugged the man, his man. Waking up to him at least on Sunday mornings had been a fortune of his that he appreciated. He could stay here forever. That would be the nicest thing possible.
But he didn’t have the time. It was his turn to clean the house. The floor was calling to be vacuumed. Last night’s dishes were waiting to be cleaned all thanks to Yul, who carried him over his shoulder to their bedroom just because Zeng happened to tease him a little… sensually.
Not that he was complaining. Mind-blowing sex after a mundane week was definitely a good deal.
“Come on. Wake up.” He said, after a while, “You need to mow the lawn.”
Yul groaned and flipped to the other side. Though Monday to Saturday he would get up for a job around the community park, on Sundays, he would laze around.
Zeng sat up and searched for his clothes. He couldn’t find where he had thrown them off in a frenzy last night. He grabbed the nearest thing he could lay his hands on and that happened to be Yul’s shirt. He put it on and buttoned it up. It still was loose on him but Zeng liked it. It reached till his upper thighs and it smelled like Yul. A combination of chocolate and musk.
He switched the air conditioner off.
He tied up the curtains and slid the door open to let the fresh air in.
Then he went back to Yul to wake him up. The man had absurdly sprawled himself on the bed such that his one leg was angled hiding away his privates and the duvet tangled in between his legs to expose his butt.
Zeng shook his head at the sight. He got on the bed and smacked Yul’s behind. “Wake up, Officer Wang.”
The other man groaned but got up anyway. He sat up and pressed the heels of his palms to his eyes. Then with his tousled hair and squinty eyes, he stretched his arms and looked at Zeng with a lazy smile.
“Good morning.”
Zeng went over the bed to press his lips against his boyfriend’s. “Good morning.”
They brushed together. Bathed together.
While Zeng was making breakfast, Yul went on his daily jogging. After he came back, he trimmed the grass of their small lawn and the garden in their backyard. He was quick and smooth.
He came back and sat on the counter waiting for his boyfriend to finish. He saw as Zeng moved swiftly, his knife skills as sharp as always. Slicing away the veggies for the sandwiches.
The way his hair fell over his forehead the way he blinked, his long lashes dark against the pale shade of his skin.
Lips pressed in a thin line as he worked, the mole under them enhancing his beauty.
And then the most beautiful thing happened. Like the very first time, it still manages to make Yul’s heart skip a beat.
As if feeling Yul’s gaze, Zeng looks up to see Yul watching him lovingly. His eyes relaxed as he stopped for a moment and gave him the most beautiful smile in the world.
And Yul was in love all over again.
‘I love you.” He blurted out.
Zeng laughed a sweet laugh, then leaned over the counter to press a fleeting kiss against his boyfriend’s lips, “I love you too.”
Weekends were all about romance.
Later, Zeng called his parents and asked about their health like the good son he was. Then he called Yul’s mother and chatted with her.
“Yuan is likely to visit Hongkong next month. He has a meeting here,” Zeng informed about the youngest Xiao son after cutting the call.
Yul nodded, not that excited given his boyfriend’s little brother’s attitude towards him. Yuan was quite a character.
“He will be staying with us,” Yul just assumed because there was no way Zeng would allow his only brother to stay anywhere else.
Zeng nodded excitedly with a very happy smile on his face. Yul smiled seeing Zeng’s smile.
“Cool.”
