Young Brother-in-law Is Now My Husband - Chapter 1546 Care
Chapter 1546 Care
Ming Lan stopped peeking and stood in front of the mirror drying her hair while sitting in front of the dresser. The door to the bedroom opened and Wen Zac stepped in. She looked at him through the mirror and watched him walking towards her. “Let me help you,” he offered, taking the hair dryer from her hand without waiting for her reply. She allowed him, relishing the sensation of being cared for. A faint smile graced her lips, and her earlier displeasure toward him faded.
After ensuring her hair was almost dry, he suggested, “Breakfast will get cold. Let’s eat first.”
She nodded and rose, following Wen Zac as he led the way. “Your belongings will be brought here from Lian’s room soon, so you’ll have access to your clothes.”
“Thank you,” she acknowledged, taking a seat as he pulled out a chair for her.
He settled across from her and began serving breakfast while asking, “Are you feeling better now?”
She nodded with some hesitation, then continued to eat her meal. When she finished, he handed her a white paper bag. “These are medicines for you.”
She had seen Wu Ren give it to him, so she knew what it contained. She took the bag and examined its contents—a cream and a single packet of medicine, but not birth control pills.
She picked up the packet and examined it, prompting Wen Zac to explain, “This will help alleviate any body aches. Since you have to attend the wedding today, I don’t want you to be uncomfortable.”
She nodded and glanced through the packet once more.
“Do you need anything else?” he inquired, his expression serious.
“Um, are we missing any other medications?” she asked.
He shook his head. “This is what I asked Wu Ren to bring.”
“Oh. I thought…”
“What did you think?”
She hesitated but then spoke, “I thought it might also contain…birth control pills.” Her face flushed as she lowered her gaze.
He smiled at her embarrassment and asked, “Do you want them?”
“No, not that. I…”
“I didn’t request them because they’re not good for your health.”
She met his gaze and explained, “I’m not in my safe days.”
“It’s fine. If you happen to get pregnant this time, we’ll simply have a baby. If not, then from next time, I will ensure we take precautions on my end.”
She stared at him for a moment, comprehending his intent. This man was always straightforward with his words. She could only nod.
Ming Lan didn’t find the idea objectionable; after all, she had already entered her thirties the previous year, and the prospect of having a child didn’t seem unwelcome.
“Okay,” she managed to reply.
Wen Zac rose from his seat and extended his hand to her. Confused, she accepted it, and he led her to the couch. She found herself seated on his lap, his hands resting comfortably on her waist, surprising her with his boldness.
“Zac, today is Lian’s wedding, and I need to…” she began, her voice filled with concern.
He chuckled, his eyes meeting her flushed face. “Don’t worry. I have no intentions of doing anything of that sort. I wouldn’t want my wife to feel embarrassed in front of everyone, especially when she might not even be able to walk properly.” Discover 𝒏ew chapters at novelbi𝒏(.)co𝒎
Ming Lan felt a wave of relief wash over her, though she sensed she would need to grow accustomed to his assertive manner. Then, she felt his hands moving around her waist, not wandering but gently massaging it.
She looked down at his hands and then back up at him. “Does it feel better?” he asked, his hands continuing their soothing massage.
Ming Lan was rendered momentarily speechless by his caring gesture, and her emotions welled up within her. She nodded gently and softly replied, “It feels wonderful. Thank you.”
“I’m the one who caused you this discomfort, so it’s only right that I try to make you feel better,” he said, gazing at her with tenderness. She nodded in agreement, affirming, “You should.”
Unknown to her, her heart brimmed with pure happiness. There was no comparison to the joy of being cared for by the man she loved.

In a separate VIP suite within the resort, a couple lay entwined in their bed. The young man, striking in his looks, cast his adoring gaze upon the slumbering woman beside him. His eyes radiated a profound tenderness and affection for her.
As if she could sense his loving gaze upon her, the woman gradually stirred, her sleepy eyes meeting his handsome countenance. She responded with a soft, drowsy smile.
“Good morning, Yuyan,” he greeted her, his fingers tenderly brushing aside the stray strands of hair that graced her face.
“Morning,” she replied in a husky voice and then realised they were inside the room. The last she remembered they were by the poolside, indulging themselves in passionately intimate session. “When did we return to the room?”
He continued to caress her soft cheeks with the back of his fingers, “After I exhausted every ounce of your energy.” Shameless words but only he could say it with straight face. A flush of embarrassment painted her delicate features as the memories of the previous night flooded her mind like an unstoppable tide. She shyly turned her gaze away from him.
“Feeling a bit bashful, are we? If I recall correctly, it was you who daringly provoked me,” Lu Lijun playfully teased.
She cleared her throat awkwardly. “I’m not shy, you know. I was just taken aback to find myself back in the room.”
“I couldn’t bear the thought of anyone else catching a glimpse of my wife in a situation that only I’m privileged to witness,” he replied with a protective air about him.
“Alright. Let me get up. Today it’s Lian’s wedding. I need to check preparations on her side.”
Though unwilling, Lu Lijun let her go. His sister’s wedding was sure important for him. Jiang Yuyan noticed her clothes, “Did you help me wear my clothes?”
“Who else can it be?”
“Thank you.” Jiang Yuyan stepped out of the bed in hurry while she said, “I need to first call LanLan….”
“Don’t disturb her,” Lu Lijun said while he stepped out of the bed as well. She offered him a questioning look only to hear him, “Mister Wen had kept her busy.”
Jiang Yuyan’s eyes left opened wide, “But she is the maid of honour…”
“Don’t worry about that. Sister Lian will take care of it.”
“What do you mean?”
“If you ask more questions, I won’t hesitate to get you back in the bed,” Lu Lijun warned. “But….”
In response he simply offered her warning gaze. She pressed her lips in thin line and entered the bathroom. Lu Lijun allowed a sly smirk to grace his lips. ‘I can’t tell you anything just yet. It’s a surprise,’ he thought with amusement.
