Young Brother-in-law Is Now My Husband - Chapter 1568 Nicky And Yuyan
Chapter 1568 Nicky And Yuyan
Jiang Yuyan glanced at Nicky who looked nervous under the pressure Lu Feng was creating and said, “Nicky, come with me. Let these men stew in their annoyance.”
Nicky felt a rush of liberation and promptly rose to follow Jiang Yuyan out of the room.
Once they were alone, Jiang Yang’s frustration boiled over. “Of all people, you had to be an ass with me, Lu Feng? What’s gotten into you?”
Someone chuckled, diverting the others’ attention.
“Find something amusing, An Tian?” Jiang Yang shot him a glare.
“They say love makes fools of us all, and we’re witnessing a prime example here, Jiang Yang,” An Tian remarked calmly. “Can’t you see what Lu Feng did for you? Instead of berating him, you should thank him for taking on the role of the villain to expedite matters for you.”
Lu Feng remained impassive, unmoved by Jiang Yang’s attempt at reconciliation. You better take care of her this time.”
“I’m already on it,” Jiang Yang assured him. “And please, don’t instruct Nicky to stay away from me. We’ve spent enough time apart already. Physical intimacy is crucial in a relationship, as you well know.”
“It’s ultimately her decision,” Lu Feng stated firmly.
“I wish my brother was like this or brother Feng was my brother,” Jake said calmly as he looked at An Tian.
An Tian scoffed, “What do you expect me to do. Not like you have any serious issues other than you and your guy acting stubborn for no reason. For that, we have no solution.”
“True,” Lu Feng spoke, ” You two, just go to the rooftop and drown yourself in that swimming pool, so both of your brains can start functioning properly.”
“I am alright. It’s him who needs to fix his brain,” Noah spoke. Jake glared at him, “We will see who needs fixing.”

Outside, Jiang Yuyan and Nicky strolled through the garden, savoring the crisp evening breeze.
“Thank you for whisking me away, Yuyan,” Nicky expressed her gratitude.
“Don’t mention it. These men can be quite overbearing at times, whether they’re your lovers or siblings,” Jiang Yuyan remarked.
Nicky nodded in agreement. “True, but I’ve never seen Brother Feng like this before. Do you think he’ll really take me away? I’m certain that if he decides, even my mother would support him.”
“As long as you remain steadfast in your decision to stay with Brother Yang, Lu Feng won’t go against your wishes,” Jiang Yuyan reassured her.
Nicky fell silent, her thoughts swirling.
Observing her, Jiang Yuyan probed gently, “Didn’t you say you wanted to stay with my brother? What’s changed?”
“I said that so Brother Feng wouldn’t take me away,” Nicky admitted reluctantly.
Jiang Yuyan wasn’t convinced. “Are you sure about that?”
Trying to avoid Jiang Yuyan’s gaze till now, Nicky finally met her eyes, only to hear her friend’s earnest words. “Nicky, if you’re hesitating because of me, it’s unnecessary. What happened in the past was not your fault, nor was it my brother’s. It had nothing to do with either of you, so don’t let it overshadow your relationship. In fact, I want both of you to be together and happy. My brother has been waiting for you, and I know you’ve been waiting for him all these years. Now that you’re finally together, don’t let this chance slip away. Give yourself and him a shot at happiness.”
Her eyes moistened, Nicky spoke, “Still, I can’t seem to forget that it was my own family member, my blood relative, who caused it. It will always remain a thorn in my heart and prevent me from looking at Jiang Yang in the same light as before. The person he cherished the most, his sister, was hurt.”
“It wasn’t your blood,” Jiang Yuyan asserted gently.
“What do you mean?” Nicky asked, puzzled.
“This is something that has been kept hidden, but it’s time for you to know,” Jiang Yuyan began solemnly. “Lu Qiang protected this secret, and I’ve done the same. Xi Cheng is not related to you by blood. He is not your father’s biological son.”
“What?” Nicky exclaimed, stunned by the revelation.
“It’s true. But you must promise me you won’t tell anyone. I’m sharing this with you so you can let go of the guilt and start anew with my brother,” Jiang Yuyan urged.
“I…” Nicky struggled to find her voice.
“Nicky, whether related by blood or not, you can’t control someone else’s actions. They are accountable for their own choices, and others shouldn’t have to bear the burden of their sins. You were never responsible for what he did,” Jiang Yuyan reassured her, her tone firm and supportive.
Tears streamed down Nicky’s cheeks as Jiang Yuyan enveloped her in a comforting hug. “I can’t express how happy I am to have you back, Nicky. I long for us to be like we were in the past. I want all of us to find happiness again.”
Nicky sobbed as she hugged her friend tightly. “I’m sorry for running away instead of staying by your side to offer comfort. I just couldn’t bring myself to face you. But all these years, I’ve missed you terribly and thought of our time together. I truly missed you, Yuyan.”
“I missed you too,” Jiang Yuyan replied softly, releasing her from the embrace and wiping her tears away. “If you want to make amends, then be with my brother.”
Nicky nodded, her expression pained yet determined. “I need some time to adjust to everything. I know that despite how he acts like nothing happened, that past incident still weighs on him. Just like me, he’s trying to move past it so we can be together.”
“You two can take all the time you need, as long as you’re together,” Jiang Yuyan assured her, offering a supportive smile.
Once Nicky was calm, she asked, “How are you doing?” Finnd 𝒏ew chapters on n𝒐ve/lbi𝒏(.)com
“Uhm, better,” Jiang Yuyan answered, having a content smile on her lips. “I know the reason for this smile,” Nicky smiled back, “I must say it’s a good ‘reason’.”
“Can’t agree more.”
“Is everyone fine with it at home?” Nicky asked. “Hmm. They had accepted us but sometimes I still feel a little hesitant. Just like you, I might need a time to come around completely.”
“I can understand,” Nicky said as she added, “I had never expected that little stubborn guy to turn like this. He reminds me of brother Qiang somehow.”
Jiang Yuyan nodded, “Blood speaks for itself.”
“I want to know how did it all happen. You have to tell me,” Nicky urged. “I will tell you the day when you and my brother are together for real.”
Nicky raised a brow, “Already blackmailing me to aide your brother?”
Jiang Yuyan chuckled playfully, “As a sister I can do at least this much for him.”
