Young Master in the Apocalypse - Chapter 105
The apocalypse started two years ago with a pandemic, and within the span of days, it had put an end to 80% of the world’s population. Then, when the survivors thought it was the end of everything, they were immediately proven wrong.
The billions of people that died because of the deadly pandemic turned into a living undead and started to attack those who were still living.
Things became even more chaotic when the disease was found to grow a mutation, to the dead and also to the living. Slowly give each of them spirit power, human and animal alike, with some given more than others.
From that point on, the mystery of the apocalypse only deepened. After 100 days passed, the world was once again sent into an uproar with the simultaneous arrival of 1008 massive alien constructs all over the planet.
The revelation that the constructs were the answer to humanity’s prayers for a safe haven quickly spread to every corner of the world, and refugees rapidly flocked there as a means to survive.
People all over the world started to gather on these pillars to gain power, weapons, and other things they needed to advance and to survive the apocalypse. Thanks to the alien constructs, humanity began to regain their foothold in this post-apocalypse era.
However, their trials are not yet over. Right as they started to rebuild civilization, on the 500th day, a year and a half since the apocalypse started, the tribulation begins.
Thousands of abyssal creatures started to spew out from pits deep within the earth, as if they were just awakened for the apocalypse.
Since then, the abyssal creatures became the new owner of Earth. They roamed the surface freely and wantonly, while humans had to resort to cowering behind the safety of their walls and the alien constructs widely known as the doomsday pillars.
As of now, two years have passed since the apocalypse began, and 6 months have passed since the emergence of the abyssal creatures. Humans have once again begun their quest to fight and take back the earth.

Today, DDay 700
Rome, Vatican City
Two years after the apocalypse, the holy city has turned into the safest haven this world has to offer. Centered on the Vatican City, the whole of Rome has now turned into one of the biggest survivor cities on earth.
As the beautiful ringing of a majestic golden bell rang throughout the city, tens of thousands of people began to gather from all over the city. In the end, they gathered at the piazza in front of St. Peter’s Basilica.
All these people have endured two years of the unforgiving apocalypse, but they were as calm as ever, and they even seemed delighted to be part of the ceremony. Some of them stared at the tower where the bell resided, while others closed their eyes and piously prayed.
Meanwhile, inside the Vatican palace, a figure clad in white robes was getting ready to come out and greet the masses. But before he could do so, a knock could be heard, and he looked at the double doors to see someone in all red robes walking in.
A dozen Swiss guards with heavy armor were alarmed by this sudden arrival. One particular man in silver armor quickly responded and stopped the figure by standing in its path.
“The pope is not to be disturbed right now.” The man in silver armor said while exuding out a powerful aura.
At first, it seemed like everything would escalate. However, the pope in white robe touched his subordinate’s shoulder and said,
“Don’t worry, Seth. The bishop came as I asked.”
After he said that, the pope calmly returned to prepare himself in front of the mirror while saying:
“Sergio, what news did you bring from the meeting? Tell me.”
“Yes, Your Holiness, we have received word from Denmark. They have accepted the church, and we have successfully appointed Archbishop Zenon to watch over both Denmark and Finland.”
“That is very good news. Praise be to god.”
Bishop Sergio nodded and continued his report.
“With this, we have successfully united almost all of the western, southern, and northern Europe under the church. Only eastern Europe is left.”
“Good work, Sergio. Ukraine may not be much of a problem, but I hope that you are capable of handling Russia properly.”
“I shall try my utmost, Your Holiness. Russia is currently fighting amongst each other now, as a result, the Rus Imperial and the Red Faction are at a stalemate. I believe this is a good time to meet them, i am sure that they will need the church’s guidance.”
When he heard it, the pope turned around and stared intently at the bishop.
“Bishop Sergio, please keep in mind not to dwell in the politics of any country.” Sergio became visibly uncomfortable as the pope kept his sharp gaze at him.
“We are all united in the desire to bring God’s work. We should do our utmost to prepare for the second tribulation. Do you understand?”
Even though sweat appeared on his face, Sergio still bowed respectfully. “Yes, Your Holiness.”
Seeing that, the pope took his gaze from Sergio and turned to look towards the guard clad in silver armor.
“Seth, how’s the Knight of Templars’ Academy going?”
“It is going well, Your Holiness. We have a hundred strong new members joining every month, and the number of enrollment is steadily growing. Several hundred templars have already been sent for the church’s mission to bring more potential recruits.”
“Very well, then. Sergio, you can pick three hundred knights to assist you in your mission to the east.”
“I will. Thank you, Your Holiness”
The bishop nodded, turned around, and excused himself. He left the room right as the bell rang out once again, an indication that the ceremony was about to begin.
The door leading to the balcony was opened, and the pope was ready to show himself. But then, as he remembered something, he called for Seth who was just about to leave.
“Seth, I need you to choose one of the best scribes of the templars. There is a certain high tier artifact on the Vatican Vault that unexpectedly just awakened after a thousand-year of sleep; it needed to find a good host.”
This news was certainly unusual and made Seth confused, the Vatican vault has been collecting thousands of artifacts over the course of thousands of years, but hearing about an awakened artifact was certainly new.
“May I know what artifact it is, Your Holiness? I would like to assist you in finding the most suitable candidate.”
“Yes… surprisingly It is an old bronze lamp, I know for sure it would be a powerful one, we really need the best candidate for this-” The pope paused for a moment before he spoke again. “Actually, we could ask for all the Europeans under our church to send their best candidates to participate in becoming its candidate”
the pope was fully drowned in thought and said “A tournament! Yes, maybe a tournament of sorts. That would accomplish our objective to find the best candidate, getting along with teh other nations and also help us getting new potential templars.”
“I understand, Your Holiness, it is an excellent plan. It shall be done right away.”
Under the balcony, a sea of eager people could be seen, staring above to wait for the pope’s announcement. They have gathered from all over Europe and they managed to rebuild Rome together under the leadership of the church. They came here for their faith, and to listen to the words of their god-given leader. After all, they believe with their whole heart that salvation could be found here.
As the pope emerged, a man from below shouted, and everyone turned silent. Not even a whisper could be heard.
A moment passed, and the man shouted. “Today, we are blessed with the presence of Cardinal Strauss of the Illuminati Church. Your Holiness, please bless us with your holy message.”
The pope raised both hands, held onto the balcony, and looked towards the sky before speaking.
“Children of the church, we have gathered here to speak our gratitude to our God, who has chosen us to walk through this tribulation together!”
Everyone looked down in solemn expressions, and the pope took a moment to glance at them before he continued.
“Let us all be thankful to our Lord, let us shout the name of our Lord, the true protector that has taken care of us for the last 5000 years!”
With that, they put their hands together and prayed. The name of their god spilled from their lips in a fervent prayer.
They called upon the Nephilim God.
