Young Master in the Apocalypse - Chapter 83
<Abyss creatures are approaching!>
The Djinn told him that dozens of critters and hellhounds had started entering his 3 miles perimeters. It doesn’t seem many right now, but Viktor was well aware that there would be even more behind them.
The sky realm fisherman Roman had the foresight to see that these abyss creatures would arrive in only minutes and quickly said.
“We dont have much time! Go take Jessie back, I will distract and hold them for as long as I can!”
The man apparently quite a heroic one. Which was sad really, as heroic people tend to die first.
The two members of the crew, Bugs, and Wade, were trembling in their boots. As Wade hurriedly stated, “we… we should retreat, this is not part of the plan!”
“Shut your fatty mouth Wade.. we need to help Jessie!” said Bugs.
Viktor could tell that the two of them were afraid, but they tried their best to face their fears head-on. The two hesitantly ran toward the burndown reactor where Jessie went.
One went ahead to confront the monster’s hordes, while the other two went in the direction of the reactor. As their companion had gone, Viktor had been left alone. It seemed that no one really cared in which choice he would take.
As it had always been the case in a certain situation like this, Viktor’s first and foremost concern would be his own safety. He would make it a primary goal to retreat as soon as possible.
However, he could not be sure that the ship would take him back to the town without the other around. It’s possible that the ship wasn’t even still there. It was also possible that he would come into a strike with a gargoyle while on his way and without Jessie or a magical weapon he will be in trouble to go by himself.
On the other hand, after logically thinking and observing how consistent the abyss creatures would appear when the night comes, Viktor becomes more interested in the technology Jessie offering him. Maybe he really should go help her indeed.
Viktor grunted for a moment, cursing his bad luck at having to make difficult choices.
This immediately brought him back thinking of his old life, The hardest decision at that time was only to decide between a blonde or a red hair one.
He genuinely hoped he would be able to travel back in time and relive his old life once again.
“Urrgghh!!”
As a result of this line of thought, and because he was faced with no easy choices, Viktor decided to listen to his little brother instead.
“Let’s save the beautiful girl then,” he said.
Viktor quickly rushed toward the burndown reactor, and as he arrived at the location, what he witnessed was only to find Bugs and Wade were struggling to fight against an incoming ghouls in front of the buildings.
The Djinn informed him that Jessie was currently engaged in a fight inside the reactor as well, particularly with a multiple stage three ghouls.
It was certainly no difficult choice. He cannot let something happen to Jessie if he wanted to have his own personal reactor, hence he decided to just walk past the two then headed inside the building where Jessie was and said,
“I’ll go take care of Jessie!”
The building turned out to be the same as the one he entered before. It was 100 meters in length and had a two storey floor interior that was filled with machines.
When he entered the building, from a distance, he saw Jessie was busy fighting alone on the second floor with several ghouls. She was in a serious battle against two stage three ghouls as well as a few of the little ones by herself.
The young lady was finally show her powers and battle skills towards the incoming ghouls.
Viktor could see that Jessie’s body was being engulfed by sparks of lightning. He was stunned by how she was able to move even more quickly than him.
She was using two long metal batons that could be joined together to form one long polearm, and she skillfully hit all of the monster’s critical points, such as the head and joints, resulting in crushing the small one and stumbling the big one.
Unexpectedly, it appeared that actually the girl did not require his help at all. Yet, in order to make a good first impression, Viktor attempted to take an action to engage in this battle. He jumped and quickly decapitated one of the huge stages three ghouls from behind.
Splaaatt
Jessie, on the other hand, was quick to warn him of the situation.
“Watch out!! Its blood is highly toxic!!”
Unfortunately, it was already too late as the monster’s blood had already splattered all over him. Reflexively, he blocks it with both of his hands.
Splaaahhh!!
“Urrghhh!!”
Viktor’s studio heroic stunt had just cost him a burnt wound on both of his hands. He was quickly terrified as he watched his formerly flawless skin suddenly turn all red like tomatoes, with a few minor blisterings here and there. If it was not because of his 30 endurance, it would have most likely turned into a third degree burn by now.
“No no no!!”
While he was in this situation, a second stage three monster approached him from behind. Now that he was more aware of the problem, Viktor decided to take his rage out on the second monster instead. He quickly placed both of his hands on the metal floor and then,
[Metal extraction]
The purpose of using this was not to find the metal essence. He thought of an effective way to use the extraction to cause the metal floor to collapse and the monster to fall to the first floor.
While the monster was still lying down there, Viktor used [metal bending] to transform all of the metals around the monster into something that would hold it down and keep it from moving.
The big stage three ghouls were successfully pinned down. He now have enough time to slowly create a sharp metal, and crush all of the holes in its head to pierced the creature’s brain.
Jessie watched the whole thing from the side. Viktor turned his head to the place where she was standing, and when the two eyes glanced at each other, Viktor could see her brightest smile return once more.
“You are my hero!”
