Zenith: Last Revenant - Chapter 73
The fight between the last three powerful titans has begun abruptly, Aethros throwing himself at the Two elders before him without much hesitation in his actions. Swiftly he rushed towards the Elder of Life and Time, forming a vibrating energy blade over his hand, he slashed down at the Elder with his full physical strength. The blade drew close before Aethros was swiftly engulfed in a concussive blast of fasha, carrying his body much farther above the tribe before promptly exploding.
The origin of the attack being the second elder launching a blast to disorient Aethros, the first Elder simultaneously reacted as well, rushing towards Aethros’s energy signature amongst the explosion. The First Elder began to bombard the area with a volley of energy blasts to maintain the pressure on Aethros, the second elder joining in as they both ruthlessly launched attack after attack in the hopes of ending the fight before it got any worse.
The two halted for a moment so that the smoke could clear and to allow a better view of their opponent. The expression of the two Elders quickly darkened as they observed Aethros unscathed from their attacks.
“Is that all?” Sending a taunt, Aethros reappeared behind the first Elder and thrust his fist through his back, cauterizing the hole with his fasha as to drastically slow the Elders regenerate, knowing he is renowned for his healing.
The second Elder swiftly attacked Aethros once he realized what had happened, instantly appearing behind him whilst launching a barrage of devastating blows to Aethros’s body.
This brief opening allowed the first Elder to create some distance between himself and Aethros.
Quickly absorbing the life energy around him and accelerating his body in time to rapidly close the wound he had received, taking only a few moments to do this, he swiftly returned to the battle against Aethros.
As both Elders ruthlessly ȧssaulted Aethros with blow after blow, he was beginning to go on the defensive, making attempts to breach space in order to create an opening. The very moment Aethros attempted to execute his plan, he was grabbed by the tail and sent plummeting to the ground beneath by the second Elder pulling him from the breach.
“So you’re a space affinity holder? This might get more difficult than I had hoped…” Getting up from the crater relatively unharmed, Aethros dusted himself off and abruptly surrounded himself in a golden aura. Briefly after, the world slowed down dramatically.
Traveling through a breach, he appeared behind the Second Elder, sending a swift windmill kick covered in his condensed fasha to the Elder’s head only to be promptly blocked by the first Elder who was unbothered by the flow of time slowing, going as far as to vigorously cancel out the effects with his energy, allowing the second Elder to return to the normal flow of time.
The first and second Elder continued their desperate ȧssault, sending out shockwaves that continued to destroy the landscape.
—
Rather close proximity to the battle, Spencer could be seen at the last tribe before the last two remaining, taking his time to gather up every drop of essence from this rapidly fading race as he could, ȧssimilating and moving on.
Though he was not ignorant of the blaring shockwaves and energetic bursts in the distance, he was more focused on the task at hand. After some time, his stroll came to an end as he slowly made his way over to his next possible ‘food source’.
Taking a moment of his time to change his clothing into something more fitting than what he has been wearing since he left Mars, the black suit essentially made from his skin began to change its shape and design, forming into a black tight fitted shirt with red line designs followed by black loosely fitted pants, creating black flip flops on his feet.
“This seems casual enough!” Completing his brief outfit change, he proceeded on the trail to his next meal.
—-
Viewing the battlefield with the Elders and Aethros, they could all be seen having their detrimental injuries from the confrontation that ensued. The first Elder was covered in deep cuts that were progressively healing, the Second Elder was missing an arm, whilst Aethros was missing an eye and covered in gashes from a surprise attack by the first Elder while he was distracted by the Second.
They all flew stagnant in the air, observing each other’s movements.
“It would seem you both have managed to cause me a lot of damage during this fight. I gotta say, I’m quite surprised by this outcome.” He spoke in a fatigued manner, struggling to keep himself stable in his current condition.
“I was hoping I wouldn’t have to go this far in the end, but I have no other choice if I wish to fulfill my goal…” Aethros descended to the ground below, followed by the Elder who drew closer in their battered condition.
Aethros looked at the world around him, the destruction that was caused, the lives he had taken this day. All of this quickly brought a smile to his face as he placed his hands together, channeling every bit of energy left in his being, reaching the point of using his life force to fuel the attack.
“Don’t do it!” Both Elders yelled out as they could sense the energy being channeled between Aethros’s hands, rushing towards him to interrupt what he was doing, all before time once again became stagnant.
—
“The hell is that!” Feeling a shiver down his spine from the terrifying surge of energy ahead, Spencer stopped for a moment as he felt the world around him quiver under the pressure being released by whatever was going on ahead of him. Noticing that time has stopped around him, he was relatively unaffected by this phenomenon halting the world.
“Things are getting rather interesting, I should head over to see what’s going on!” He picked up his pace to the source of the energy.
—
In his stagnant new world, Aethros watched as the first Elder struggled to escape the grasp of his grasp on time.
“You brought this on yourselves!” Aethros brought his palms further and further apart as reality slowly began to lose its color. A black speck began to form between his palms, slowly growing, his size in sync with the distance between his palms.
“L̵̓̅ǫ̵̦̆ŝ̷ṫ̷͍ ̸̓ẘ̵ȏ̸̬r̶l̷̀͗d̸̈́” His spoken words being incapable of comprehension as the world warped around him. The speck rapidly grew in scale whilst he continued to compress space and time into a singularity of monumental proportions. He released his grasp on the planet and instead focused on restraining the two before him
From the spawning of the construct, the gravitational stability of the planet promptly shattered, throwing the planet into chaos. Earthquakes, floods, sudden storms, volcanic eruptions, the very magnetic field of the planet was erased, causing irreparable damage by any means.
Throwing the speck at the two Elder’s trapped in time, the black hole construct began to break down all matter that came in contact with it, violently tearing apart everything in its path towards the Elders. In his desperation from impending death, the first Elder forcefully created a crack in time, although this drastic action destabilized the time of the planet, it gave him just enough to dodge the attack, though the same couldn’t be said for the second Elder.
The first Elder made a reach for escape but the construct followed his every movement without fail, he was quickly growing tired as that last desperate attempt to escape Aethros’s grasp led him to deplete all of his energy.
—
Witnessing all of this transpiring from far above, Spencer watched the Elder’s desperate attempt to escape death with his arms crossed as he patiently waited for the battle to conclude. As he was doing this, he sensed three vaguely familiar life signatures, albeit extremely faint and fading, he still noticed them.
“Plot armor?” That was the only thought crossing his mind as he realized who the last three life signs were. Soon after noticing this, large chasms began to open across the entire planet, magma spurting from its very core engulfing everything.
One of these very chasms opened near the three life signatures, he could sense as they began to fall into the chasm, sealing their fates. Deciding against simply letting this happen as he is already here, he promptly dove into the chasm, racing to retrieve their bodies before they truly died.
Swiftly seizing them from death, Spencer quickly surrounded them in an energy bubble to keep them from any further harm. Letting them float next to him as he crossed his arms he returned to watch the first and very last Elder run for his life from the pursuing construct quickly drawing near.
Spencer then made his way down to the dying Aethros, appearing in front of him and looking down at his pitiful state, Aethros looked up in shock as he did not expect anyone to still be alive on this dying planet.
“We meet again it seems.” Spencer talked down to Aethros who soon recognized his voice and appearance.
“You!? But how!? I killed you!” Aethros was in utter shock.
“Yeah…you did, for the most part, but I’m back for a little fun!”
Spencer was looking forward to a potential rematch to test his strength, but seeing the state Aethros was in, he quickly lost his anticipation and grew quite disappointed.
Picking him up by the neck, Spencer’s disappointment became anger, “You took me for a joke! Never have I been so disrespected in a battle! Then you came along… Killing you while you’re in fatal condition doesn’t sit well with me, but I’ll make an exception!” Spencer’s eyes glowed a bluish platinum color as he shot a hole through Aethros’s head.
“What a waste of my fuċkɨnġ time!” Spencer spat as the body of Aethros liquified and converged in his body, adding an extra strand of power that was swiftly consumed by the platinum-colored orb in his mindscape.
Bringing the bubble containing the trio near him, he made his way to his bioship as the planet was mere moments away from exploding.. Scanning through Aethros’s memories, he then created a breach in space and swiftly vanished within it with the trio, cutting his ties with this planet and moving on to his next adventure.
