Zenith: Last Revenant - Chapter 86
(***AUTHOR RANT START
Uhm, I could go to a long tangent of what is going on behind the screens, but let’s just say, that a lot has happened.
The below chapter is purely Spencer, as I just couldn’t finish up the Krypton storyline yet, but I am trying to, believe me.
To the naysayers: This is a fanfic, a storyline we (me and heliumjax) are doing mostly for fun. I am not dropping this novel, nor do I plan to. The story is mostly planned out, but I just mostly can’t get time to it. Partly due to the many other tasks I put up on myself, and partly to the fact that I have a bit of a problem when I sit down to write Zenith, ever since I was hospitalized.
Anyway, what I’m trying to say, is that there will be chapters, I’m just not sure about a set schedule yet.
IF you would like to show that this story should be on a higher priority than it currently is (or just tell me to go f*ck myself), you can do so by following this link:

Note that this is completely optional, and there will chapters regardless (Well if my ŀȧptop dies then there may be a bigger delay :D)
Anyway, I’m done blabbering, let’s get to the fun parts!
Note: I have not had the time to edit it yet, but I really wanted to put this out today. I will update it later in the following week.)

Warping through the endless void of flashing streaks of energy for no more than a few fleeting moments, the imposing vessel exited from a rift over a moderately sized planet similar to earth in its scale and appearance, though it held a slightly more radish hue when compared to the latter. Hovering over the planet, the vessel gently approached, once a suitable distance was achieved, the vessel slowed closely to the planet’s atmosphere before coming to a complete stop.
Seeing that he has reached his latest destination, Spencer immediately felt the abundance of lifeforms that plagued the rich planet below him. Instructing the ship to observe and eliminate potential intruders whilst he was gone, he teleported outside of the ship along with Penance, both of them floating harmlessly above the planet and watching the native inhabitants from above the atmosphere, observing his new potential food source before finally deciding to grace this world with his presence.
Quickly breaching the reddish atmosphere of the planet, he and his creation soon landed on its surface undisturbed as they both observed the environment around them with more curiosity than prudence. Seeing nothing more than bustling trees and small animal life scattered across the soil of the planet, Spencer began to levitate from the soil beneath him with his hands gripped behind his back, moving forward an indifferent aura when observed by anything around him.
Removing his hand, he turned his focus to the two rapidly approaching presences ahead of them, sensing one being clearly larger than the other, the sounds of trees splintering soon caught his attention as it was clear that a large entity was approaching the two of them at high speeds, seemingly chasing something. Placing his attention on the approaching entities, Spencer waited patiently whilst Penance starred in said direction with eyes filled with nothing but sadistic intentions, intentions that it struggled to contain within itself as the presences were effectively before them.
After a loud reverberation of sound before them, splintered wood flew in all directions as a large creature burst through the veil of trees whilst swinging its massive arms at a drastically smaller slender figure. “Well hello?”, Spencer looked at the approaching entities with his head tilted to the side with slight confusion as he analyzed them.
Switching over to the appearance of the individual running from the predatory creature chasing them, they appeared to be slightly larger than that of the average human male with features, not that separated from a Homosapien esque descent. The scared frantic figure donning a purely black skin tone with an almost scaly pattern, the most eye-catching feature of this new individual being the single cloth-like material they wore to cover their potential reproductive organs, no other clothing could be seen. Whilst Spencer proceeded to analyze the figure, they continued to run for their lives through the dense trees in an attempt to escape, already reaching Spencer and Penance who stood and watched.
Upon spotting the two, the slender figure quickly began to run towards them with full haste, carrying the creature along with it towards the uninvolved duo, hoping for some form of aid or a means to escape. Seeing what the figure was doing, Spencer sighed whilst shaking his head, looking over his shoulder at Penance with a pity-filled look, “Looks like you get to kill something after all… keep it alive so I can talk to it”.
As if a starting flare was fired to signify its hunt, Penance blurred from its spot next to Spencer as the ground where it once stood effectively exploded from the force applied to it. Dashing forward at an almost invisible speed, Penance jumped to face height of the predatory creature with a heavily clenched fist that held all of its pent up dėsɨrė, releasing it all in one punch, a thunderous resonance permeated the jungle esque biome followed by an expanding shockwave as the head and upper torso of the creature was indiscriminately obliterated into chunks across the jungle soil. As the chunks were still flying, Penance landed behind the corpse of the creature whilst releasing a deep nearly siren-like roar filled with satisfaction.
“Ok that’s enough”, Spencer lightly picked at his left inner ear due to the sudden blaring vibrations released by his creation. After a few more seconds of potentially deafening the entire population of the jungle, penance walked over to the slender figure who had just uncovered their ears upon realizing that they no longer had to. Quickly getting to its feet, the figure looked at Penance as it looked back, the two locking eyes momentarily as a strange gentle light briefly flickered in the eyes of the being, drawing Spencer’s curiosity to the mesmerizing display.
While Penance and the figure stared at each other for a few moments, Spencer took a closer look at the figure’s obvious female features, it was hard to miss considering there was no clothing covering its top, only the bottom. But other than that, Spencer noticed a plethora of cuts and gashes across the body of the supposedly female figure, some looking as if they would be fatal if they were present on a human body. Not finding anything else of interest across its body, he simply waited to see what it would do next.
Soon enough, the being swiftly attempted to run away as it recalled the gruesome scene that took place a few moments ago and the creature that caused that scene looking down at it with blood ŀust-filled eyes, quickly jumping into a tree to make its great escape. “I don’t recall letting you leave”, Spencer casually outstretched his palm, prompting the being to vanish from the trees and appear in front of him with its face in his palm, the figure immediately began to frantically struggle, grabbing and clawing at his forearm. “ɭєՇ ๓є ﻮ๏”, the Slender figure began to speak in what he ȧssumed was its native language, though he couldn’t understand a single word of it. Using a little of his telepathic abilities, he reached within his mind to copy its memories and add them to his own.
The process was quick and went unnoticed by the still struggling female, “ςคɭ๓ ๔๏ฬภ(Calm down)”, Speaking in its native tongue, Spencer had already learned everything he needed to know about this planet and this strange figure from its mind, now he simply wished to converse with it. Hearing its native tongue spoken by something it has never seen before, it became startled for a brief period and tensed up, feeling this, he loosed his grip and allowed it to fall to the floor. “I’m not going to hurt you” continuing to speak in her native language, he stood over her and healed all of her wounds with a simple thought before forcefully calming her down by altering her mind to lessen fear responses.
Appearing distraught and hesitant, she looked at Spencer and slowly spoke in a low tone, “I’m Kamala…daughter of the former king Draka”. While she spoke, she was noticeably looking at the sky constantly as if acknowledging something was there, though she could not see it directly. “Nice to meet you Kamala… I’m Spencer, the God of life and a few other things”, The moment he declared his self-proclaimed title, Kamala was visibly skeptical of this claim as her people had only ever had one god that they worshipped, she had never heard of him throughout the entirety of their culture.
Seeing that she justifiably didn’t believe a word he said, he brushed it off and moved on,” By the way, those ships have been following you for a while now, want some help?”. Offering his aid, Spencer placed his gaze upon the three cloaked ships resting over them, pointing a finger at one of the ships he continued speaking,” well?”. The individuals watching from the ship were slightly confused as to how he was looking and pointing directly at them, but they no longer felt the need to hide anymore as their cover had already been blown.
On a loud transmission, one of the individuals of the largest ship began to speak,” Daughter of the former king Kamala…Stop this idiotic farce and return to your holding center, otherwise, we eliminate you here and now!”. Hearing the blaring threat from the large vessel, Kamala began to shake as she noticed the heavy artillery cannon-like weapons that began to manifest from the vessel, all aimed down at her ready to destroy the area simply to kill her. Getting ready to run, despite how pointless it would all be, Spencer poked her forehead to snap her out of her fear, ” Last chance”. Staring into his indifferent eyes, Kamala felt the need to grab unto even the smallest glimmer of hope that stood before her.
In a near whimpering manner she ran behind him and spoke in a low scared tone “Please”. Taking that as her request for help, he covered her body in a thin sheet of energy before his eyes glowed whilst he looked in the direction of the three ships, discharging a powerful energy wave carrying excess energy rays around the core blast, the heat from the blast being released set a majority of the trees around them on fire before coming in contact with the ships and immediately vaporizing them, the blast continued to breach the atmosphere of the planet before Spencer closed his eyes to cancel it. Rubbing his eyes for a moment, he brought his attention to the shaking Kamala who had her eyes closed from the moment Spencer attacked.
Grabbing her by the scruff of her neck using two fingers, he took her from behind him and placed her in front of him, ” Relax a little…they’re all dead”. Bringing his attention over to Penance, who appeared to be playing with dirt at this point, he teleported him back to the Mortifier as he had nothing to do here, while he also felt that this planet had absolutely nothing that would benefit him after scanning it multiple times from his moment of arrival, “This planet has nothing to offer me… I’ll be on my way now, good luck”.
“Wait”, Kamala called out to him and reached out, catching his attention briefly. “Make it quick…I have important matters to attend to”, coming closer to him, she made a request “Please help me once more…there are more of them after me”. gazing into her gentle white eyes, he looked up and gave it a moment of thought before giving his response.
“No…But I do have something I’ve wanted to test out before I implement it later on for my people”, standing before her, he created a clear small crystal of energy above his palm with the appearance of a condensed nebula. Next, he cut his finger and dropped a little of his blood on the crystal before solidifying it. Now finally turning to the confused Kamala, he gently placed it on her ċhėst, watching as it slowly infused itself into her body, showing no signs of rejection.
After he had placed the crystal in her ċhėst, he watched as Kamala began to touch the area frantically in bewilderment, but he simply continued to watch. Soon enough her body began to glow as she sharply began to levitate and spasm a few feet off the ground, proceeding to let out a heart-wrenching scream similar to a dying animal as blue blood began seeping from all her pores as well as her eyes. Whilst this transpired, Spencer simply continued to watch to see what would happen next.
As what could be perceived as half a minute passing, Kamala finally fell to the floor breathing heavily from the amount of pain she went through. After taking a few moments to recover, she was quickly overcome by the anger of being put through such an experience, rushing forward with her blood-covered face, she became a blur as she appeared in front of and punched Spencer, generating a massive shockwave that kicked up a large amount of dust around them. Before the dust cleared, Spencer was unbothered by this attack, though the same couldn’t be said for Kamala as he jumped back frightened, leaving a hole in the ground and sending herself flying through the trees behind her.
Listening to his explanation, she seemed filled with a sudden determination, “If that is true, maybe I can save my father and my brothers, I can escape this accursed place and get them back for all they have done”. Looking at Spencer, she was ecstatic with expectation for the supposed “gift” he had given her, thanking him once more, she turned around and was about to run off into the jungle. But as she took her third step, her body lit up a crimson glow as her body subsequently scattered into chunks of blood, bones, organs, and brain matter, etc., Ending her life instantly and painlessly before she could even react, causing the crystal he had placed in her body to fall to the grown surrounded by blood.
“Two minutes and thirty-eight seconds huh?…thought she would last longer than that”, waving his hand and rewinding time on the event like a film, he watched carefully as to what the cause of her death was. “Looks like her body couldn’t handle the energy output of the core and collapsed… or more accurately, exploded”. Teleporting the crystal to his spatial storage, he teleported back to the mortifier.
Sitting in the control chair, he set coordinates to his planet, intending to begin its next stage of development, the manifestation of highly intelligent lifeforms. Initiating hyperspace travel, his vessel vanished from the outer atmosphere of the planet through a tear in space.

Appearing over his planet, Spencer wasted no time and teleported himself along with Penance outside of the mortifier and onto his planet. Once reappearing on the surface of the planet, he looked up and created a massive void leading to his spatial storage, moving it to encompass the Mortifier and store it for when he decides it can be of use. Bringing his attention to Penance, he waved his hand in a “go away” manner, prompting Penance to turn around and perform its signature jump, leaving a crater in the ground upon its launch as it spread its wings once it was high enough.
After letting his creation go off and have its fun across his planet, he flew towards his temple and stopped at the stairs, beginning to take his time walking up to them whilst taking the core he made not too long ago out of his storage, “If the energy output is too powerful for a normal being… I suppose I’m going to have to make my own”. Reaching inside of his temple, he walked through the corridor with the crystal between his palms, surrounded by a field of energy that continues to spiral and oscillate around it, slowly seeping into the crystal and causing it to glow as Spencer modified it further.
“This is enough for now”, letting the crystal float in his palm, he had reached the center of his temple where he had left his three remaining clones to each cultivate their respective aspects of his power, but to his confusion, there were considerably more than three clones within his Temple, from a glance it looked to be over twenty extra clones scattered across the floor meditating, strangely enough, some of his clones had drastically different appearances than himself. “The hell is going on here”, bewildered by the drastic increase in his clones, he was suddenly tapped on the shoulder from behind.
Turning around, he spotted a floating all-white figure standing there, looking upon this all-white figure, he immediately noticed that it held no facial features, no hair, no mouth, nothing, the only thing that could be seen on this all-white figure was a pair of glowing dark purple eyes and black turing patterns that faded in and out of view as if there were alive. The figure looked back at Spencer with an indifferent expression, prompting him to raise a brow as to what this whole situation was.
{“No need to be confused…I’m the second of the three original clones you created”}, Hearing a voice in his mind, Spencer was quickly informed on who this entity was, but even though he heard it, he still couldn’t feel a connection with this one anymore, it was as if its entire existence became separate from his own. Circling the clone, he examined it from all sides with peaked intrigue, “Why do you look like that?”.
A little skeptical of the claim of his clown, Spencer put away the crystal in his palm and promptly created a subspace barrier between the two of them and the outside world, “Let’s test that…I’m excited to find out exactly how far you managed to push the traits of the countless creatures I’ve ȧssimilated”. Taking a crouching stance, Spencer jumped up and sent a flying knee to the face of his clone, an attack that was easily dodged and redirected with a gentle palm motion, causing Spencer to spin around and attempt a back fist that was just as easily redirected. This process of attack and redirection went on for bȧrėly a fraction of a second as the two were both moving at speeds vastly faster than light, and after one last attempt of attacking his clone, he stopped and jumped back slightly indignant from the one-sidedness of this repetitive farce of a fight.
“Are you going to fight back?” Spencer was growing confused as to why his clone was not attacking, only resorting to redirecting all of his attacks whilst staying relatively in the same spot as from the beginning. {“It’s simply for efficiency”}, After sending another mental message to Spencer, the clone straightened all of its fingers to replicate a spear, {“Ready when you are”}.
Taking the invitation, Spencer rushed ahead whilst jumping into the air to release a powerful ax kick aimed at his clones head, as the kicked was about to land, the clone flickered and grabbed spencer out of the air by the face, using its other hand to stab him in the ċhėst and through the back, the clones arm releasing a plethora of black spikes within his body to greatly amplify the damage. Pulling its arm out, it slammed his head into the ground and soccer kicked him in the face simultaneously, sending him flying within the subspace all before appearing behind him as he flew and hitting him along the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar areas of his spin in three fluent strikes.
Spencer, who was receiving this beating continued to regenerate from any damage dealt to him the moment they were dealt could still feel the pain of each blow as every attack from the clone resonated throughout his body. Currently, on the floor, he looked up at his clone with slight irritation and spoke, “you really are stronger”, picking himself up, he stood to face his clone that had its arms gripped behind its back. {“Now that you know what I’m capable of…my time is up”}.
The clone extending his arm, Spencer did the same as they gripped each other’s forearms and exchanged a grin, {“See ya”}, saying its goodbyes, the clone rapidly ȧssimilating back with his body, the clone vanished, leaving only Spencer to remain in his subspace. Upon the ȧssimilation of his vastly superior clone, he felt an immense burning sensation flowing throughout his entire body as the clone’s traits and capabilities were added to his own, though no drastic changes took place on the outside other than his skin manifesting the same turing patterns as his clone.
But when entering his mind space to monitor the essence cores in his body, the martian, Kryptonian, and all of his other core’s were quickly replaced with a single abyssal black core that held the perfected form of all of these traits and abilities perfectly united no matter their compatibility. After the replacement of all of his clones, the knowledge of his clone quickly followed after, bombarding his mind with eons of experience evolving and manipulating the essences within his body, along with the perfected techniques of every fighting style that he held within him.
Almost tumbling over, he caught himself and hugged his body as his eyes and mouth began to release an acidic dark liquid that continued to flow until it formed a large pool of said liquid at his feet, though it was all contained within his space. Eventually, the liquid stopped coming out of his body, causing him to cough hysterically for a short time, but he quickly composed himself after. “I didn’t expect that”, Spitting out the remainder of the liquid, he felt strangely the same, but at the same time vastly stronger than he was before.
Finished with examining himself, he exited his subspace and returned to the real world, moving to absorb the rest of his clones instead of testing himself, as he had no way of testing how much stronger he was, so he didn’t bother. Appearing in front of his other clones, they all were waiting for his return whilst keeping themselves entertained in whatever way they could, once they all sensed that he was back, they all walked up to him, “Been a while” Spencer addressed all of them with a grin, watching as they all proceeded to combine into one.
“Let’s get this over with”, the last remaining clone that acted as the convergence of all the others reached out its arm as a gesture for them to fuse, kindly responding to said gesture, Spencer and his clone firmly gripped each other’s forearms. “Thank you for your hard work”, with saying his goodbyes, Spencer reabsorbed the clone into his body, watching as it effectively melted and melded with his body from the point of contact. The process did not take long, the clone fusing with him in mere moments, leaving him to himself in the massive construct that is the temple.
Taking out the core he created not too long ago, allowing it to float to the center of the temple, he began to repeat the process he went through to create penance, though with a slight difference. Placing all of his focus on the core, he stretched out his hand and used his time affinity to create a temporal copy of the core, having the two float next to each other whilst he began the process of creating a host for these cores.
Creating two relatively human-sized domes around the cores, he supplied the energy necessary to create a nervous system and brain connected to the core, though he still added a few new organs and bodily functions along with cellular compositions. After that, he continued to add veins, blood, bones, etc, linking all of them to the cores that resided in the two bodies, allowing everything to feed off of the energies they generate.
Next, he created the muscles and skin to cover it all, he reused the process he did with Penance and used a non-newtonian fluid, springs, and gum as a reference, granting the muscle cells the ability to rapidly expand or contract when under significant stress to counteract and rebound the weight being placed against them, granting them a massive amount of flexibility and power.
Unto the skin, he constructed it to harden down to the cellular level when exposed to sudden blunt force or impacts, he also created a few organs and bone structures within the bodies to act as a form of shock absorption and dispersal. Returning to the brain, he formed much smoother, closely connected neural pathways, allowing for the same level of perception as penance, but not only that, when it came to the eyes, he gave them a dazzling Golden glow with rectangular horizontal slit eyes, and with that, he also gave them both elegant silver hair.
Examining the fully formed genderless bodies floating before him, he separated the two and began to work on them individually. First taking the one on the left, he immediately gave it a more feminine appearance, granting the genderless body a compact yet curvaceous figure, with the addition of long legs and wide hɨps, making sure all of the physical features were appealing as they possibly could be. After he had finished all the physical features of the female body, he placed his attention on the smaller details, such as smell, hormones, bodily processes, fertility, etc.
With all of that done with the designated female of the two, Spencer brought his attention to the remaining genderless body, clearly aiming to make this the male of the two, he slightly increased the muscle mass of the body as well as a few of the bodily features to make them more masculine in nature, even going down to details regarding phallus length, as he simply couldn’t let any of his creations be mediocre.
The process not taking that much time, he was quickly finished with his design, prompting him to bring the two before him for a final examination. Deeming the two up to his standards, he conjured a set of light armor esque clothing carrying, black, silver, white, and gold colorations.
Placing the two to stand, Spencer spoke, “Awaken my creations, as I have big plans for you both to be a part of”. Hearing his words, the two opened their eyes and looked upon their creator with curiosity.
“Welcome to your new home”
